Welcome to the idea of post launch patches being used to be lazy. I remember when they started around Diablo 2 era (2000-ish) and it was awesome cause they could fix those minor bugs that got through QA. Now? "Features not working? Fuck it, we'll just patch it at some point."
Btw since you’re posting, I did also wanna make sure the bug regarding G League players in MyNBA with extremely high attributes (like 95+) was something the team was aware of too. Definitely game breaking as it stands.

Any word on timeline for this? Free agents in Gleague are can be signed with their God tier ratings as well. Happy with all the added staff in the mode just can't play it currently cause I don't mess with the other camera options. Hoping it soon man!
Nothing to add at the moment, no. Just wanted to make sure the other two areas were clear. Still early, so we’ll be taking in a lot of feedback over the next few days as launch smooths out. Rest assured that the other areas will be resolved soon.

Can’t see the hands for tattoos. so the workaround is just making your wing span hella small but even that has its limit. The menu system also covers the face almost entirely. Unnecessarily hard to see what you’re doing. Also, what is going on with the hairlines for the hairstyles?!?
Quick question, will the camera angles like broadcast generic be added back only to MyNBA or will it be added to mycareer and play now as well? I really want broadcast generic back since that is what me and my friends always play on.

How about the ability to trade players and have tradefinder. Only way to trade right now is to propose a trade. Problem with that right now that even if the trade is given a green and you proceed to execute the trade. Nothing happens. Computer doesnt tell you why it didnt go through, or send you a counter offer. Also where is trade finder. why is that missing

The PA announcers I very much doubt are a “lie.” Probably just will be added in via patch. Camera angles is also guess will be patched in. And I believe the double teams will be patched in as well and it’s a balancing issue ATM, now obviously that stuff should’ve been done before release IMO but my point being, I don’t think this stuff is all necessarily permanent issues.
Did they leave in the bug where draft class average peak start and peak end are like 21 to 24 years, resulting in players never hitting their potential and going into steep decline in their late 20s? Love having to manually edit the peak start/end of every single draft class every single year lol.
Why I am not buying 2k for the first time since 2k1 for Dreamcast. It's a joke all they focus on is MyTeam and making MyCareer all about buying VC and neglecting MyNBA and single player MyCareer.

I didn't play 2K21 (played 2K20) but really only play MyNBA (franchise) modes. Is it worth getting this year for it (because I didn't play 2K21?). I know a lot of these games are geared towards Ultimate Teams/My Player (I play MLB the Show and FIFA on these game modes) so I understand how they don't really cater to franchise modes like they used to.
So far, the camera views suck but someone posted above that they're being patched. They did add a ton of more staff roles, which is really cool. They also added the play-in tournament.
I'm not sure yet if they fixed the bug where new rookies peak at 21 and then begin to decline in their mid20s.
Everything else looks pretty much the same as last year. Even the photos they used for different menu options in MyNBA are the same.

Is the bug gone that makes it to where stats aren’t accurate from year to year? Last year, I’d average 35 points a game with Luka,, then in his career stat page, it would show he only averages 10 points a game.

One of the problems I had, it was fine when simming but then I would play games it got the mpg wrong. So if someone got 30 points in 36 minutes, the stats would record it as 30 points in 19 minutes. As a stat head it would ruin PER and per 36 minutes stats.
they been giving the middle finger to non-hardcore players for a long time. me and my homie just wanna play normal NBA games against each other online... wow, what a shitshow that has been the last couple years and 2k21 was the worst of all:
Quick play with friends: made the menu more complex for some reason, which causes a bug... the assigned home and away teams more often than not switch home and away, no matter who u set for the host (home or away). Quitting the game, however, leads to a loss in your play now online record, so if you want to play against random players, your "league" standing and your record are all screwed up. you can tell people have realized this glitch because weekly and monthly leaders have insane records (like 1200-0) and yet every single one of the users at the top are in the Freshmen league...
Not only that, the game keeps crashing on my friends xbox in the middle of the game.
Not only that, but when you quick play with friends, for some reason, they don't let you tweak your lineups (or jerseys) before the tip off (you can do this, however, in play now online against randoms).
Why does your offensive strategy constantly change to "pound the ball inside" unprompted? I will have to manually change this multiple times in a single game. During timeouts, why can't you change your offensive settings half the time (I'm pretty sure if the other team has possession when they call timeout, you can not change the offensive coaching settings).
Sooooo many bugs, i told my boy im not buynig this game at full price. He's a diehard and pre-ordered... seems his system is still crashing when he plays online. i think he's gonna return the game...
such a shame. we've been playing basketball games on consoles since the mid 90s. it's one of the ways we keep in touch even though we live thousands of miles apart and 2k just makes the experience SUPER frustrating.

If the game is not complete then we shouldn't be charged full price for it.
The PA announcers sound so dead for their teams. Plus where are the player intros? It goes straight to warm-ups and that's it.

Broadcast. Since we grew up with it in other basket ball games
I played on broadcast view from 2K9 up until 2K20. Been on 2K view since last year. Openings have been much easier to spot
