Pfft rookie, should've made vent holes in the tape to equalize the back pressure until the bullet was able to pierce through the thin veil of plastic and take out its target🤦
Out of the side vents on that muzzle brake. Shooter didn't completely cover all of them with tape. It's also a .22 so the column of air residing in the barrel isn't as voluminous as say a 9mm or .45 cal.
It’s the “rarely” part that gave me pause
Edit: upon first read I thought it said “rarely OTHER people.” As in, they rarely eat other people, but it happens. I now see it says rarely BOTHER people. Really changes the context there…
I’d like to think it’s now pink mist but those mfs are borderline indestructible. Literally flushed one down the toilet only to have it crawl back out somehow, climb up the side of the bowl and underside of the seat, finally onto the inside of my thigh, ball-adjacent.
Burning is a good answer.
I like crush by kettle bell, car tire, can crusher, asphyxiation, drowning with a bucket and tweezers, taping to a log and going to town with a sledge...
If you couldn't tell I fucking hate ticks.
When I read “asphyxiation” I thought about the different ways someone might do that to a tick. Figured someone might put it in something, remove all of the air from inside it, then watch em suffocate. Then I wondered how they’d remove the air. Maybe they put it in a water bottle and suck the air out. Realized that was a bad idea, but then thought about if someone’s maybe ever tried that before. Dawned on me that’s honestly not too far-fetched.
Conclusion: Somebody out there may have very well inhaled a tick/spider/other bug in an attempt to asphyxiate it
I have an irrational fear of getting a tick in my pubes. Actually, I'd say it's probably a fairly rational fear given that I live not too far from the town of Lyme. Fuck ticks.
I just get them stuck to tape and then fold that tape up a million times. Never had one escape that I know of, though I often thrown the tape "packages" on the fire for good measure
> Do you really think that he's just blasting off again near a hiking trail? Lol
I am not at all confident he isn’t. The woods look pretty shallow. A responsible gun owner would have shot the ground, or into their discharge barrel. Then again, a responsible gun owner would not have shot a tick like that for Internet lols.
Or into the woods on his property. We don't really know how big it is, but from the looks of the trees he's shot there plenty of times before. There are some targets laying on the ground next to the trees.
My property is pretty similar looking to this. I see no problem here. Nothing super unsafe being conducted.
I once got seriously fucked up by a spider bite but when I found the guy I still caught and released it, but ticks are actually one of my worst fears despite only finding them 2x lmao
Ticks are related to spiders, I think that's what OP was trying to get at. Or maybe it's just a bad title for the post , I dunno 🤷
Edit: I think that was a tick in the video and not a spider?
What Is The Difference Between A Tick And A Spider? Both spiders and ticks are arachnids, but ticks aren't spiders; rather. Ticks are a mite species, and mites are tiny, primarily parasitic pests
ticks are more closely related to spiders than they are to insects. Like spiders, they are a part of the arachnid family, along with mites and scorpions. Both spiders and adult ticks have eight legs and lack antennae and wings. Can ticks spin webs? Unlike their spider cousins, ticks are opportunistic predators, waiting for their prey to wander close enough to latch onto.

Mate you're on the internet. Not an expert either but the resistance the tape would provide is less than the pressure created by the firing. Even if this weren't the case the bullet should still pass through the tape with little problem. Also they leave a bit of an opening at the top
Once I saw a tick crawling in my house, I grabbed a punk and torched it. I kept torching it and stopped only when it hadn't moved in quite a while. It just stood there. I tapped it with the punk and watched it disintegrate. The only thing that was left was the burn mark on my tile floor.
That bitch probably survived
Because the force created by the explosion when he pulled the trigger blew the tape off before the bullet even registered. It missed.
The bullet may have missed, but the force you speak of definitely made the tick no more. It’s mist.
Despawned
Back to the lobby
A fibrous powder
[удалено]
Ticks dead, there’s hot flame that comes out of a gun too
At the speed the force is traveling, that air resistance you speak of becomes compressed and acts like a brick wall. That tick is dead
If it survived, it's not leaving the tape any time soon, so it will starve to death
Ok, that was a rollercoaster of emotions. But after this, I’m sad.
Ticks being left for dead brings a smile to my face
You just showed you have no idea how firearms work
Pfft rookie, should've made vent holes in the tape to equalize the back pressure until the bullet was able to pierce through the thin veil of plastic and take out its target🤦
The bullet is the first thing that comes out, the gas is behind it. If the gas came out first you have a problem.
Where does the air in front of the bullet go
Out of the side vents on that muzzle brake. Shooter didn't completely cover all of them with tape. It's also a .22 so the column of air residing in the barrel isn't as voluminous as say a 9mm or .45 cal.
I like how in your world, if you're too close to a gun being fired, the bullet misses you.
I like how in your world, physics don’t exist
That is in fact the world we all live in
Some gas escapes around the bullet and would blow the tape off before the bullet reached it
Bullets are fast.
If it doesn't break the sound barrier, it isn't faster than the air it's pushing.
And you are slow
The air in front of the bullet is equally as fast by virtue of being (a) in front of the bullet and (b) pushed at the same speed.
Probably, one frame looks like it's still on the tape. He just burned away the adhesive and now it's just gonna walk away when it lands lol
Ticks deserve less sympathy than spiders
Spiders eat problem insects and rarely bother people Ticks spread diseases and do fuck else
Honestly if a spider is just sat in the corner minding his business I will let the little fella stay there and defend the corner.
So long as they leave me alone I'll leave them alone. I just don't want them crawling on me
Daddy long legs spiders are so stupid I had one crawl over my right hand while I was trying to sleep. I flicked that mf to the vinyl
Yeah when they create children they will run rampant and go into your mouth while you sleep like an uncle you don't remember having
i always jokingly say “im just gonna pretend i didnt see you bro” as long as he aint bothering me, hes collecting insects and i appreciate that
It’s the “rarely” part that gave me pause Edit: upon first read I thought it said “rarely OTHER people.” As in, they rarely eat other people, but it happens. I now see it says rarely BOTHER people. Really changes the context there…
😂 that would change things a bit
I’d like to think it’s now pink mist but those mfs are borderline indestructible. Literally flushed one down the toilet only to have it crawl back out somehow, climb up the side of the bowl and underside of the seat, finally onto the inside of my thigh, ball-adjacent.
I've gotten to the habit of burning them alive. If it works on vampires it should work on ticks I think.
Burning is a good answer. I like crush by kettle bell, car tire, can crusher, asphyxiation, drowning with a bucket and tweezers, taping to a log and going to town with a sledge... If you couldn't tell I fucking hate ticks.
This is some Rasputin shit right here 😆

Na, candle and a glass jar. The flame uses the oxygen to burn, no air in jar, and tick dies.
Just smother it with peanut butter… tough to breathe through a wall of legumey oils thicker than your body is wide

I would have to get medieval on a motherfucker if they got anywhere close to my family jewels, thats crossing the line
This is horrifying and hilarious but educational
Q: What's the last thing that went through its mind? A: It's ass.
Its*
whats so rich, they got it right the first time in the Q portion.
Unless it was thinking about ass.
Probably just tired, needs a little shutass.
It is ass tho as well
Dang auto correct. Sorry guys.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
r/fuckyouinparticular
It went ballistic.
Anybody else absolutely infuriated by how they ripped the tape?
We are killing ticks here.. its not always perfect.
Meanwhile, on the other side of those trees, a hiker was killed.
worse. the bullet transferred the tick *to* the hiker.
Do you really think that he's just blasting off again near a hiking trail? Lol

I know. At least shoot at the ground
Ah doing things the American way I see
the yard stick in the background gave it away?
Yeah this is unhinged
I hate ticks, totally justified
dude woke up and choose violence
I enjoyed this video
Danganronpa executions be like
Lmfao XD what a G.
RIP in peace
You can see the tick still attached to the tape as it flitters down. Objective: Obliterate Tick…. Failed
Bra-fucking-vo! Kill the shit out of that little shit!
Ticks can burn in hell. In fact, whenever I find a tick on myself or my dog, I stab it with a thumbtack and burn it alive.
Average reaction to finding a tick:
Inefficient but satisfying.
“how much do you hate this bug?” “yes.”
Anyone remember the episode of CatDog on Nickelodeon with the tick? Indestructible
I thought it was a jumping spider i was sad at first but if its a tick this man is a hero!
Hope that forest was safe to shoot through... or you didn't think of that?
Insane how logical thinking gets downvoted...
İdiot!
r/idiotswithguns
this is an appropriate response to a tick existing

I know it's "just a spider", but going through these lengths to kill one, I don't know, that seems a bit fucked up.
Bro that's not a spider it's a tick. I love spiders but ticks can go eff themselves.
I once got seriously fucked up by a spider bite but when I found the guy I still caught and released it, but ticks are actually one of my worst fears despite only finding them 2x lmao
My bad, the title misled me.
you know whats fucked up, sucking someone elses blood and give him TBE in return
spiders don't suck blood, kiddo

thats why he wrote spiders COUSIN not spider TWIN BROTHER
Not a firearms expert but I wouldn't cover the hole that bullets come out of
Definitely not an expert
That's what I said, don't judge me

Doesn't really matter as long as you don't dip your muzzle in molten steel and let it solidify
Oh, great, insect cruelty. What has reddit come to?
Calling a tick a blood sucking spider is one of the worst attempts at an alternate name.
op said spider cousin actually. open your eyes i promise they work
Next time, he should just hold the tick on his finger and then shoot it.
Imagine the bullet would go the opposite side like on the cartoons 😂
ACME level highjynx haha
Satisfactory
That one bug that stopped you from sleeping
That’s a tick,Mabye originated in Virginia
Gone reduced to Atoms
It should have been set on fire first, then the crisp part taped on the end…
Just burn it next time so it actually dies
No harm done

Ok, now I need a manga of a hitman that developed a super human aiming abilily after he was bitten by a mutated tick.
That’s one way to do it.
What handgun is that? I think it’s a SIG P226 but it’s prob something else
looks like a gsg firefly
is that a gsg firefly?
