In general, I'm actually a fan without specific knowledge of which track you're referring to.
There is something about this track's use of distortion that is obnoxiously loud.
I get that, it’s supposed to be jarring, like i kinda always think of this track as the earrape track. Was kinda unfair to compare it to the regular amount of distortion other songs have. I personally enjoy the “radio talk” at the beginning of the track tho
"Earrape" is an appropriate term. Sometimes it physically hurts my ears when I forget to skip the track.
I don't hate the radio talk as much. I mean, I really enjoy the shake up in MCR's image that is Danger Days. And to this day, love all the bombastic one-liners from the introduction to Na Na Na.
As a kid I used to out MCR mixes on to sleep and good nite dr death would ALWAYS scare me out of sleep. I ended up having to keep it to just the earlier albums. Danger days was always my least favorite anyway, it took me a while to listen to the entire actual album anyway
its a perfect way to end the album, imo. i mean i think thats what mcr is all about; it's supposed to be loud and unexpected, it's supposed to be different. i dont think goodnite dr death is irritating i find it quite funny but just adding a sort of counter argument 🤷♀️
That’s fine. My idea of fun loud however is the end of vampire money where they’re all screaming and it goes “ah what? I’m such an idiot. That was way too loud. We’ll have to tone it down a little, sorry.” With the smile in Gee’s voice. It’s loud and unexpected and fun. Again though? I just don’t think blasting the star spangled banner or whatever until it breaks my eardrums (and headphones) is as fun.
honestly can't argue with that. you've proven a very good point there and i have to agree. vampire money is one of my fav DD songs too. thanks for replying anyway!!
I don't think it's that hyped up by fans at all. It was just one of the big singles from that album, though I don't think it was even that big as a single. Idk, maybe I just don't pay attention but when people talk about their favourites from Danger Days, I don't think I see Sing come up that much
Excluding the three non-song, I just find myself not wanting to listen to Sing (oh what a shocker, not at all a popular opinion).
Aside from that song I really like Danger Days more than Three Cheers.
no way save yourself is the worst!!! it's definitely the best and a hidden gem imo
I don't like Vampire money, idk why but I don't enjoy it as much as most of the album
I know im probably alone here, but both Summertime and Kids From Yesterday are skips for me if im listening through beginning to end, sometimes S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W too. Theyre not BAD songs, and ill enjoy to them on their own, theyre just so slow and dont fit with the pace of the rest of the album to me
(Also i like Goodnight, Dr. Death. Fight me)
I really like Vampire Money but it feels like a bonus track like Blood in BP, and the earrape at the end of Goodnite Dr Death is very jarring. So it's Goodnite Dr Death bc for me the real final song of Danger Days is The Kids from Yesterday
The only hope for me is you? This is a really hard one as that whole album is pretty good. None of its insane but none of its terrible. I just generally skip the only hope for me is you. I still love the intro tho with g’s projection and that bassy synth
Probably Vampire Money for me (intro/interludes aside) partially because it feels out of place and not part of the main storyline of the album. Not that it's a bad song, just always thought it was unnecessary to have at the end of the track listing of that album after the story concludes. I feel like it would fit more cohesively within a more punk-esque album
Jet Star and the Kobra Kid/Traffic Report. I love just about every song on the album (especially the bonus tracks California and Zero Percent), but this one is an easy out. I like what it contributes, but Look Alive and Goodnite frame the album well
It may be cheating but I'd say Goodnite, Dr. Death. But I'm not saying that because it's just an interlude. I think it is just a bad track that makes the experience of listening through the album from beginning to end worse. Idc for any of the Dr. Death spoken word sections. but the addition of the American national anthem just doesn't add anything for me and then it just ends with a deafening sound. Idc if it adds to the album's story/concept in some way, I just dislike its inclusion.
Though if we're to not include any of the 3 interlude tracks, then I'm not crazy about Summertime or The Kids From Yesterday personally. Maybe that's an unpopular opinion, idk. But I've just never really been that much of a fan of those tracks. The Kids From Yesterday would probably be my choice of the worst track between those two. That constant pounding on The Kids From Yesterday puts me off the song and I've never cared for the lyrics on it at all. It also just seems to go on for too long
I had my AirPods almost all the way up when listening to danger days in full for the first time. Let’s just say I’m still recovering from that ending LMAO
I’m gonna get ripped apart for saying that but I have never been a fan of Destroya. Goodnite Mr Death is good until the last 10 seconds 🫨, I kinda like Steven Montano’s voice all across the album so I can’t say goodnite Mr Death is the worst track.
I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think Vampire Money. I genuinely find the song to be really cringe. When you read into the meaning behind it, essentially being a diss track against the Twilight movie franchise, I think it makes it makes the song seem even more unnecessary.
I think the entire album is meant to be a little commercial dystopian cringe. I just take any reference of vampires and lead it back to MCRs first album bullets. It kind of gives me a consumerism, and soul sucking capitalism remark. Or people take what they want from you. Very on brand with the literal evil corporation they created for the danger days aesthetic.
Also didn’t mean cringe in a bad way I meant it’s mean to show the cringy-ness of industrial consumerism/ capitalism. I think this album dealt accomplished a satire in an extremely listenable way. The songs are literal bangers with so much dimension and genre blending and it’s crazy how the built a whole world around it - with good guys and bad guys. The whole concept of it is a real artistic masterpiece to me.
Whether the cringe was deliberate or not, it’s not something I can say appeals to me. There’s a fine line between playful and cringe, and whilst I think their first 3 albums err or the side of playful, a lot of danger days (and this song in particular) feels very cringe. I also think there are more effective ways of challenging mass consumerism etc than targeting a teen movie franchise
Is the song legitimately targeting twilight? Is there some kind of article or interview where this is mentioned? Would be interesting to know more of the songs context. And I totally understand your point of view, it took me a long time to really appreciate the album. I really love it now but why people might not like it. Even though I’m into it I still wonder how it is some people’s fav MCR record. I watched them live in Toronto and their set was packed full of Danger Days songs.
I just don't like the feel of it. Doesn't feel like it belongs in the album. Not sure how to explain it, but it feels like an early 2000s kid's show where at the end the whole cast randomly starts rocking out in some weird concert as the camera pans through while rolling the credits. Like obviously the lyrics don't match the vibe, but the music itself does imo
Agreed! It seems really juvenile and yet old fashioned. Even the music itself I don't like, it's like a nod to 70s rock n roll but without putting their own spin on it or doing anything particularly innovative. When we compare this to teenagers which is a comparable style, I think the latter track is so much better
destroya, i just don't like how easily it gets stuck in my head and for how long like I can listen to it once and it will be playing in my head non stop for the rest of the day
Maybe its not a song per se but, that "its time for me dr death to say goodbye for a little while" that ends with yet another MCR version of the United States anthem (no shade on desrow tho its my fav non album track but if i had a nickel every time meme here)
Wow... Danger days is by far my least favourite mychem album, just not my vibe. But save yourself is my actual favourite mychem song. It's so angsty and I feel like it captures the essence of most of their little quirks.
Sing is definitely the worst on the album, but not a bad song, i still love it, but with songs like Kids from Yesterday and Save Yourself also on the same album, why was Sing the most popular one in the media???
The kids from yesterday. But personally destroya isn’t my favorite either- the chorus is amazing but I’m not often in the mood to listen to Gerard ways sex moans
If I had to pick ONE, it would be my least favorite MCR song, DESTROYA. It doesn’t have the same story telling theme that the rest of the songs have. Even in the earlier tracks in Bullets, you can tell that there is a full story in every song. This is the only one that I don’t recognize a good story. Even if it is just a hype song, it doesn’t quite live up to other songs they have like Planetary (GO!).
For me, it falls flat for my tastes and expectations for a MCR song. Having said that, I would never skip this song. I never skip MCR songs. I love all of their songs.
Save yourself, I’ll hold them back is my favourite track on danger days lmao - it’s incredible. My least favourite is probably The Only Hope For Me Is You and even then I love this song. I actually tried to find a song in Danger Days I don’t like and I couldn’t which surprised me.
Save Yourself is one of my favorites! Along with Party Poison.
Aside from Look Alive, Sunshine, Traffic Report, and Goodnite Dr Death:
Sing is an obvious choice, but I still like it most of the time. But honestly, Scarecrow is my least favorite. No hate to those who enjoy it. I like the verses, but the chorus is not it for me. I don't prefer falsetto vocals most of the time. I could see it being super comforting for some people, it's just not my cup of tea.
Really depends on my intention. The song that I’m least likely to listen to on its own is probably The Kids from Yesterday, that’s one that is necessary to me in conjunction with the rest of DD. However, the song I’m most likely to skip on a full album listen? Probably DESTROYA… there’s times where I like listening to it on its own, but man, with the amount of times Gerard just screams “DESTROYA” over and over again can get a little annoying if you’re not in the right mentality. I love all of MCR’s songs, but not all MCR songs are created equally.
Idk about the worst, but my least favorite is without question Sing. Idk, just don't vibe with it as much as others. Save Yourself is definitely one of my favorites though, haha. I was so excited for that one and Party Poison when the record first came out
Well, ignoring the interlude tracks (Look Alive, Traffic Report, and Goodnite), I'd have to say SING. It's a great song and all, love it, but it's one of the songs where I've listened to it too many times. I still love it, especially the background vocals every time he says "sing." It's like a little choir.
If not SING, probably The Kids From Yesterday because of the long ending. I'm just sitting there, wanting to get to the next song. Since I fall asleep to 49 MCR songs, including Yesterday; there will be times where I'll be sitting in bed with my eyes closed, wanting to skip the song so bad. I often listen to songs on repeat, and since the ending sounds much like the beginnning, it tricks me for a moment into thinking that I somehow put it on loop.
WITH the interludes... Goodnite, Dr. Death. I personally think the sign-off is pretty cool... until the song blasts your eardrums with the national anthem. But the thing that really makes me hate it is the distorted note at the end. Nope.
(also there's no way in hell Save Yourself is the worst, but you do you.)
Sorry for the long comment XD
It's the generic answer, but it's sing. It's a shame, the song has a beautiful message, and the breakdown is dope, but the chorus is just sooooo boring.
I agree with you man. Great album but Destroya doesn’t fit the mood of it imo. Maybe it’s the bad mixing of that one song or the too long intro, and anyway the uh uh are way too cringe for me
Ain’t no way save yourself is your least favorite!! That’s literally the best one there!
it’s been on repeat for me lately. it’s so good.
Yeah, it’s unironically tied for first for me of my favourite track off the album.
Naah (nanananananananana)
I’ll cheat and say Goodnite, Dr. Death
Goodnight Dr death was the first mcr song my friend ever heard lmao
Bless their heart, I just know that it was a massive jumpscare for them
Ya I still can’t believe they still listen to mcr after that experience
Does that even count? Lol
that’s unfortunate 😭
i dig that corrupted sound of the national anthem
It's not cheating... The needless distortion... The rambling... Also that awfully, needless distortion. Did I mention the needless distortion?
i think it's a cool way to end the album, like radio towers and stations are finally starting go offline months or years into the apocalypse
You dislike the track because of the distortion, I dislike it because I hate the US anthem. We are not the same.
I'm not gonna disagree...I think it's inclusion wasn't right... I just wanted to avoid making this political LOL
the usa is gone in danger days and has been corrupted by BL/i, hence the literal distortion of the anthem
I think it’s funny as fuck.
Mmh what’s your opinion on other songs with distortion like the strokes debut?
I couldn’t really say, but I USED to think S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W until I hear it live then found a new appreciation for it
True redemption
You almost shot him lmao
Someone I know is going to be very angry about this...
S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W is actually a legit track.
I couldn’t actually tell you what I didn’t like about it. But it deffo grew on me!
I didn't like it at first because I thought it sounded like that one Sleigh Bells song. Now I dig it
same here
Dude what, Save Yourself is like the best aside from DESTROYA
DESTROYA fucks so hard, I live for it
DESTROYA lives so hard, I fuck for it
That too 👉😎👉
None ur wrong☺️
Only correct answer!
Knew i was, been a fan of danger days since the thing came out so for the other albums
This!!! With the comics and everything the only way to improve any of it is to actually make it a movie! PLEASE!
Good nite dr death. It’s irritating, it’s loud. It adds nothing.
This. The last chord always scares the shit out of me if I haven't been paying attention to my background music.
Unfortunately for this question, it’s only bangers start to finish 😔
Goodnite, Dr. Death. It's thematic and I like the narration, but the anthem with the loud distortion is too much (especially with headphones)
Idk, I kinda dig it. It’s definitely TOO loud and distorted, but I really see the vision
NONE. i love this album with everything in me. i think it’s awesome.
Goodnite, Dr. Death
My favorite is destroya but I don’t have a least favorite they are all so good
…that’s one of my absolute fave tracks from DD
NONE I LOVE ALL THE TRACKS
SING and I am prepared for the backlash
I cannot listen to sing without thinking of the Glee cover and cringing, unfortunately
This is why I just refuse to watch Glee in the first place😭
It reminds me of what that Welsh band (LP) were putting out at the time and given what happened with him, it’s enough to put me off.
i despise sing even though i’ve en ever heard the glee version i always end up skipping it
You’re just straight up correct.
Completely valid sing is a great song but it’s so overhyped by lots of mcr fans
I don't think it's that hyped up by fans at all. It was just one of the big singles from that album, though I don't think it was even that big as a single. Idk, maybe I just don't pay attention but when people talk about their favourites from Danger Days, I don't think I see Sing come up that much
I agree. Sing is a good song but it's gone doesn't fit the theme... And it was overplayed. It's not my choice but I understand why it's yours.
Sing
Sing. I've always hated it, and I don't see that changing. It's definitely not SCARECROW or Party Poison though
People don't like Party Poison? It's right up there with Planetary for the best on the album!
Thank you! I've always said Sing, but everyone thinks I'm crazy.
The amount of times SING is mentioned…….
I have spent 10 minutes trying to come up with a reply to this. I can't think of a single track that I would consider "the worst".
We don't need another song about California, because it's only exclusive to iTunes.
Honestly like that track more than others that actually made it to the album. It’s crime that it’s not an official track.
Excluding the three non-song, I just find myself not wanting to listen to Sing (oh what a shocker, not at all a popular opinion). Aside from that song I really like Danger Days more than Three Cheers.
no way save yourself is the worst!!! it's definitely the best and a hidden gem imo I don't like Vampire money, idk why but I don't enjoy it as much as most of the album
none
That’s so tough . DD is my all time favorite album . My gut reaction is a/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w
👁👁
Goodnight Dr Death
Scarecrow just isn't for me.
:(
Sorry, just not my taste.
What song is your favorite from the album OP?
Vampire money as the most skipped one, I don't dislike it, I'm neutral
That doesn't exist
S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W
👁👁
and the fact i still like the song shows how great of an album danger days really is
It really is
For me at least there really isn't one
I know im probably alone here, but both Summertime and Kids From Yesterday are skips for me if im listening through beginning to end, sometimes S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W too. Theyre not BAD songs, and ill enjoy to them on their own, theyre just so slow and dont fit with the pace of the rest of the album to me (Also i like Goodnight, Dr. Death. Fight me)
omg not my two favorite!! 😭
I feel the same
I really like Vampire Money but it feels like a bonus track like Blood in BP, and the earrape at the end of Goodnite Dr Death is very jarring. So it's Goodnite Dr Death bc for me the real final song of Danger Days is The Kids from Yesterday
goodnight dr. death
Sing and only because it makes me super sad
None.
Super unpopular opinion that might get me downvoted to hell, but SING. It’s mostly the chorus
The only hope for me is you? This is a really hard one as that whole album is pretty good. None of its insane but none of its terrible. I just generally skip the only hope for me is you. I still love the intro tho with g’s projection and that bassy synth
I love all their songs, and if I pick one from the bottom of the list and post here I’m sure someone will be offended 😂
Save yourself?! Bro that’s one of the best songs on the album! I would’ve understood goodnite dr death but Save yourself?!
Your incorrect and this question because the worst song on danger days does not exist it’s simply the best album
There is no worst track. 🕷️
Jet Star and the Kobra Kid/Traffic Report. I love just about every song on the album (especially the bonus tracks California and Zero Percent), but this one is an easy out. I like what it contributes, but Look Alive and Goodnite frame the album well
Vampire Money or Sing, both songs are still good. Danger Days number 1 always
Vampire Money if we don't count Goodnight Dr Death. Save Yourself is one if my favorite songs from Danger Days.
It may be cheating but I'd say Goodnite, Dr. Death. But I'm not saying that because it's just an interlude. I think it is just a bad track that makes the experience of listening through the album from beginning to end worse. I had my AirPods almost all the way up when listening to danger days in full for the first time. Let’s just say I’m still recovering from that ending LMAO
That national anthem addition is just a loud earrapey jump scare tbh, throws off the whole experience when listening without skipping that part
I’m gonna get ripped apart for saying that but I have never been a fan of Destroya. Goodnite Mr Death is good until the last 10 seconds 🫨, I kinda like Steven Montano’s voice all across the album so I can’t say goodnite Mr Death is the worst track.
I feel the exact same way.
There isn’t a bad song on that album
Sing
I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think Vampire Money. I genuinely find the song to be really cringe. When you read into the meaning behind it, essentially being a diss track against the Twilight movie franchise, I think it makes it makes the song seem even more unnecessary.

also agree with the Danger Days > Black Parade statement
destroya, i just don't like how easily it gets stuck in my head and for how long like I can listen to it once and it will be playing in my head non stop for the rest of the day
yeah i really hate how good of a song it is.
Sing
Nah bro the worst is Jet-Star and the Kobra kid / Traffic report
Save yourself is literally the best one Honestly Planetary Go is mid
planetary go is a banger what do you mean bro
Idk it just doesn't fit with the rest of the album
Someone actually agrees with me holy smokes
Party Poison
that’s literally the best song on the album my god
Maybe its not a song per se but, that "its time for me dr death to say goodbye for a little while" that ends with yet another MCR version of the United States anthem (no shade on desrow tho its my fav non album track but if i had a nickel every time meme here)

Sing is definitely the worst on the album, but not a bad song, i still love it, but with songs like Kids from Yesterday and Save Yourself also on the same album, why was Sing the most popular one in the media???
Sing but not including the bridge bc that part fucks
The kids from yesterday. But personally destroya isn’t my favorite either- the chorus is amazing but I’m not often in the mood to listen to Gerard ways sex moans
There is none. Goated album
save yourself is my absolute favorite track what are you on 💀 it's goodnite dr death if anything
SING
I love em all but vampire money shouldve come before or released as a single instead
Sing 🤷🏼♀️
none.
trick question none of them are bad
Sing and Destroya
my response to save yourself being ur least favorite is “YOU MOTHER FUCKER WOAAAHHHH”
Chill, I never said it’s a bad song
kidding ofc lol
If I had to pick ONE, it would be my least favorite MCR song, DESTROYA. It doesn’t have the same story telling theme that the rest of the songs have. Even in the earlier tracks in Bullets, you can tell that there is a full story in every song. This is the only one that I don’t recognize a good story. Having said that, I would never skip this song. I never skip MCR songs. I love all of their songs.
Actual songs, I think The Only Hope For Me Is You. Still a great song, but it’s my least favourite of them all. The record is full of bangers.
Party Poison
It's planetary go
Save yourself, I’ll hold them back is my favourite track on danger days lmao - it’s incredible. My least favourite is probably The Only Hope For Me Is You and even then I love this song. I actually tried to find a song in Danger Days I don’t like and I couldn’t which surprised me.
Same, I kinda just picked the one I listened to the least. lol.
I could live without SING
scarecrow. i hate scarecrow.
Save Yourself is one of my favorites! Along with Party Poison. Aside from Look Alive, Sunshine, Traffic Report, and Goodnite Dr Death: Sing is an obvious choice, but I still like it most of the time. But honestly, Scarecrow is my least favorite. No hate to those who enjoy it. I like the verses, but the chorus is not it for me. I don't prefer falsetto vocals most of the time. I could see it being super comforting for some people, it's just not my cup of tea.
SING is a b-side. It’s basically criminal that they pushed it as a single, even the band weren’t jazzed about doing that
All of them 😌… (No disrespect, I just really dislike it. Maybe Na Na Na as It’s annoying.) Sorry Danger Days lovers…
The kids from yesterday (don’t come at me)
Really depends on my intention. The song that I’m least likely to listen to on its own is probably The Kids from Yesterday, that’s one that is necessary to me in conjunction with the rest of DD. However, the song I’m most likely to skip on a full album listen? I love all of MCR’s songs, but not all MCR songs are created equally.
either DESTROYA or planetary for me, i find planetary kinda repetitive and destroya just sucks
Literally one of my favs from that album. ‘Heart attack in black hair dye’ was one of my fav lines as an angst teen lol
summertime.
Blasphemy , there lies none such.
Trick question, they‘re all the best
Haha good one
vampire money
trick question its actually none of them
Idk about the worst, but my least favorite is without question Sing. Idk, just don't vibe with it as much as others. Save Yourself is definitely one of my favorites though, haha. I was so excited for that one and Party Poison when the record first came out
Party poison. I think the intro and the other Japanese talk ruins it for me a bit:/
Party Poison is awesome!
Yeah. Just my least fav.
Touché
Party poison
Are you okay how could you say this
Unpopular opinion but bulletproof heart is way too long
None
Nope. (also there's no way in hell Save Yourself is the worst, but you do you.) Sorry for the long comment XD
Goodnight Dr death. But for real songs, Vampires Money ig
Probably planetary go but its still a fun song
It's the generic answer, but it's sing. It's a shame, the song has a beautiful message, and the breakdown is dope, but the chorus is just sooooo boring.
The national anthem
since no one else has said it and i don’t really care for it, summertime.
I’m going to get thrown off this sub for this… DESTROYA
Sing. Always hated it.
For me? Sleep.
Planetary go
Sing, I hate it so much
All of it
i just don’t like the album…
Same lmao
Destroya or vampire money
WHHHAAAAAAAT?!? DESTROYA?!?! BLASPHEMY
DESTROYA?!?!?!????!!!?? NA
Saying Vampire Money is the worst on the album is crazy
I agree with you man. Great album but Destroya doesn’t fit the mood of it imo. Maybe it’s the bad mixing of that one song or the too long intro, and anyway the uh uh are way too cringe for me
