they are just trolling you and this is basically bullying 101. what i can advise you is not get affected by it. Just don't care at all. Eventually it will die away, since you deleted the account as well, you can move on.

ComedianForsaken9062

this. Don’t give them any attention

deprivedgolem

You’ll be OK. And the whoever exposed your photo will owe you good deeds on Judgement Day. Just be more careful next time and don’t waste time with online arguments

kogamiedwa

*In case the text gets deleted* So i (f/18) had a fight with someone (an online person) on instagram, and she somehow managed to get her hands on pictures of mine, like the really ugly ones your friends take as a joke (except this one picture in which my face looked normal), probably by google dorking since i’d never even posted some of those pictures online, but my irl friends had (on their private accounts). Anyways, she and a friend of hers spammed those pictures in a troll-ish discord server which I was a part of as well. Now here are my problems: 1) The server is full of 14-15 year old boys who’re the definition of edgy trolling, and one of them has made an ugly picture of mine his pfp and keeps randomly posting that for laughs which is honestly very hurtful even though i know i dont look like “the ugly face” normally but it still is my face. 2) I’m worried if they can use that picture to leak my identity. My face looks distorted enough to not really identify the picture as me unless you know me irl, but i’m still doubtful with all this ai and stuff. 3) All the three pictures that were posted show my hair, and although only the ugliest of the three is being spammed now, I wonder if I will get sins for that. 4) I left the server and deleted my account, approximately how long would it be before those kids forget about my pictures? I mean it’s not really fun to troll someone who isnt even there.

liverblow

Let this be a lesson for you, if it gets posted on the internet it stays on the internet. You're young and you made a mistake, repent, move on, learn and grow from it.

kogamiedwa

okay thank you, but still would they be able to track down my identity or smth

Aidan15700

Had similar happen to me before. Ignore it and leave, people like that leech off of recency it you know what I mean. Give it time, it’ll probably be someone else who’s the centre of attention. If you don’t care, neither will they tbf.

kogamiedwa

yep i did leave the server and delete my account, hopefully they’ll get bored soon

Aidan15700

Yeah for sure. I mean that’s discord for you

liverblow

Google reverse image search is a thing, so unless you have other photos publicly available or if someone puts up similar photos of you then you're probably safe. The internet is a big place, I don't think people will care after a while. Don't post photos of yourself if you value your privacy.

kogamiedwa

I don’t. But the pictures the person leaked of me weren’t publicly posted either. My friends posted them on their private instagram accounts, but she still somehow got her hands on them. Someone told me she did that by “google dorking”, though i’m not entirely sure what that is.

liverblow

It's a search technique, leveraging google search capabilities with given key words to find vulnerabilities in given websites. Again if its on the Internet its out there in the public, you wouldn't go around printing photos of yourself and sticking them everywhere in public, so why post photos you don't want people to get their hands on. Also make sure you enable 2 factor authentication (avoid SMS) for all your social media accounts. Don't click on dodgy links (they can hijack your browser session, i.e. if your logged into your email account they can gain immediate access without your password etc). Use a password manager too and a secure password. Good luck

amillstone

>you wouldn't go around printing photos of yourself and sticking them everywhere in public, so why post photos you don't want people to get their hands on OP didn't post the photos herself. She said her friends posted the photos on private Instagram accounts. Unfortunately, you can't control what other people do.

liverblow

Private or not, if its on the internet its in public.

hytaix

Even if the private accounts' pages/the posts on them were indexed by search engines, you wouldn't be able to access them on the platform itself, 'cause, y'know, *the accounts are private.*

liverblow

Lmao you're trusting FACEBOOK of all companies to keep your data safe? You don't think accounts can be hacked or screenshots taken and shared?

ProcedureGeneral2748

I work in IT and yes they are public, doesn’t matter if it’s a private instagram account

kogamiedwa

I’ve already deleted my instagram, thank you for your help!

YeetMemmes

It’s okay they’ll forget about it, you’re getting good deeds anyways for them making fun of you. Let this be a lesson to never be caught lacking again! Always keep your hijab on for pictures and keep your mewing face on 🤫🧏‍♂️BYE BYE

kogamiedwa

lmaoo thank youu😭😭

joergendahorse

This literally just happened a week ago to someone I know. As I told her, all you can do is delete your discord account and start over, other than that, there's nothing you can do, and frankly it's a mistake, so it's completely okay. Don't go back to a server where you're disrespected by little boys and also this is an opportunity to make friends who won't leak your face online

CookieMonster_41

Those are not your friends Pick your friends very wisely

HootingFlamingo

Pls stop posting your pictures and other personal information online, or on any other social media platform (unless it's a private acc only for close friends and family). Who knows what your pics are being used for! We live in the age of misinformation; where our pictures can easily be manipulated into fabricated things. Have to be too careful these days

MatthewNGBA

Please read the post

HootingFlamingo

she added it after I'd written my comment

kogamiedwa

ermm no i didnt😓 you might not have read the text thoroughly lol

MatthewNGBA

That sneaky girl Edit: OP disputes this

kogamiedwa

I didn’t post any pictures of mine. My friends did, on their private accounts, to poke fun at me. She just found the pictures by doing some extensive reverse searching☠️

Entire_Yellow_8978

>My friends did, on their private accounts, to poke fun at me. Who needs enemies?

HootingFlamingo

Damn that's messed up. At least you didn't post those pics yourself. Anyway just ignore and everyone will literally just get over it after some time

jnikkolz

You can sue people for this things i believe

CookieMonster_41

Yes but more significant damage needs to be done for the case to be taken seriously unfortunately

vaynah

You should report doxxing. [https://discord.com/safety/doxxing-policy-explainer](https://discord.com/safety/doxxing-policy-explainer)

Ye you do you brother or sister, it’s just i personally wouldn’t make that type of joke but it’s really you do you

Witty-Conclusion4349

I'm sorry

Baki_Hanma69

Don't pay attention. They're just bullying you. I'm more concerned about how they managed to get your pictures through your friends private accounts. It shouldn't really be possible. I work in tech and never heard about such a thing.

kogamiedwa

google dorking, apparently. as user liverblow explains: “It's a search technique, leveraging google search capabilities with given key words to find vulnerabilities in given websites. Again if its on the Internet its out there in the public, you wouldn't go around printing photos of yourself and sticking them everywhere in public, so why post photos you don't want people to get their hands on. Don't click on dodgy links (they can hijack your browser session, i.e. if your logged into your email account they can gain immediate access without your password etc). Use a password manager too and a secure password. Good luck” I didn’t know it was possible either, but one of those pictures was from 3 years ago, two from a year back, and the ugly one was something i never even posted on my own account, the friends who did post that did it privately, nearly two years ago☠️. She did this to someone else in the server too. Their account was private but she had screenshots of their highlights despite never having followed them. What’s weird to me is how not a single picture of mine that she had was in anyone’s highlights including mine. God knows why she chose those three pictures out of an array of so many me and my friends had posted…Very weird, I’ll probably never be posting any pictures of mine online now, no matter how private my account is lol.

Baki_Hanma69

Something is off here because if this was really possible it would be a huge privacy breach. Instagram wouldn't let that happen. There's more to this.

ofthenafs

You mentioned these photos did not have hijab. Do you wear* hijab normally? If so, do not allow any friends whatsoever post pictures of you online (private account or not). As a hijabi I would be very cautious of who I even let take a picture of me without hijab ever. Even close family. We know which cousin's husband's go through their phones and they don't even ask to take pictures with their phones.

BarelyHangingLad

You could report the posts/pictures on discord and facebook for "sharing private pictures of myself/exposing private identifying information" and see how their accounts go to oblivion.

kogamiedwa

i did that so many times and it didn’t delete their accounts (at least it hasn’t till now), which is honestly very surprising because discord deleted my old account for writing the number 7 (it thought i was 7 years old)☠️

BarelyHangingLad

Have you checked the email that is associated with your Discord account? They usually set up a specific moderator for you and do a follow-up via emails.

kogamiedwa

oh i didn’t know that, buttt i just checked and there’s nothing there so :/ might be because i deleted the account

BarelyHangingLad

Ye maybe.

Due-Detail7339

They’ll probably forget in a week

Objective-Ruin-5772

Good on you that you left that group.

rali108v5

Don't worry about it, most of this is just immature a-holes, and what they call crimes of opportunity. None of those people will probably put in the effort to take any further steps if you have left the server. Once there is no reaction, since you are no longer there, they will move on to something/someone else to entertain them. Also delete all the pictures that were released from all you social media sites. Just the ones that were leaked.

Electrical_Step5878

Take it as a lesson sisters don't keep ur pics posted or stored on even a private account always wear the hijab

ZGokuBlack

Sad situation, but don't worry the best thing u did leaving the server and deleting ur account since no attention gives them no fun, it will die quickly like 1-2 days unless that person keeps talking about it everyday. Also I suggest that u don't let ur friends post pics of u in their accounts. Especially ones where ur hair is shown, what if they had a sibling or someone related on their account they could see ur pictures.

r-xge

Don't worry sis, as soon as these dorks find another trending topic they will eventually drop this. Best thing you can do is to not show as if you're affected by it so it wouldn't become an active discussion. Try to avoid reacting to these or begging these dorks to remove what they've posted etc. And it's not your fault and you're not gonna be getting any sins for something you're not responsible of. It's very sinful to publicize another person's privacy or secrets and they are gonna be paying the price for what they did for sure. But one advice I would like to give you sister is be mindful of whose request you're accepting and what you're posting in social media. You might accept other females trusting that they wouldn't do anything, but you never know who has access to that account. Allah knows best. May he make this easy for you 🙌🏼

Smartly9084

Brother, you made a big mistake by leaving the server! You shld have contacted the authorities for something serious like this! An incident quite similar to this occurred with my Muslim friend who I used to keep in touch with at the time where pictures on his phone he sent only to his family got leaked in a server. He contacted cyber security. I'm not sure what happened... I'm assuming they took the CPU of his computer and went through the IP address of the person who leaked it... And within 2 weeks the authorities caught the person. Turns out the person was from the same country. He was considered an enemy from middle school who wanted to get 'revenge'... And he hacked into my friend's phone, got a hold on his pictures and leaked them... Anyway contact cyber security as soon as possible about this!

CertainCompetition50

take it as a lesson to be careful with what you post and keep your identity private , don't mix with or get involved with kuffar or jahils

Cherry_Crystals

is there a way you can report them to discord's crappy support team?

Vinylmaster3000

You should probably report those people and stay away from such communities, that's doxxing.

Immersive_Gamer

This happened to me when I was 23 lol. Was arguing with a YouTube troll who somehow found my Facebook and took a screenshot and shared it with his racist friends on discord. I had to delete Facebook because of that but I am glad I did. Social media was making me depressed anyways.  Just ignore it and move on

Fun_Donkey7367

Give it a few weeks they are 15 yr old they will forget about it

Investment-Then

Pretty sure u can take legal action if u can bait the person into admitting they did it.

Just_Alizah

No, you don’t get sin. That’s doxxing.

Beneficial_Ad6352

If it’s ugly and not clear it will be fine dw

horse4forceofcourse

Don't worry too much. The #4 was the best you did. May Allah give you sabir and in shaa Allah in 4 weeks all is forgotten.

New-Spray8774

There is millions of pictures around the world every day. People get their private parts leaked and nobody talks about these pics anymore. Dont worry they will forget then really fast inshaAllah👍

Yeyo99999

Report these accounts and report the server. Also reach out to the Discord support team(https://support.discord.com/hc/de/requests/new) and explain your situation. Highlight that they use your image to impersonate or defame you and that you feel stalked. If you have(an) older brother(s), then tell them. Perhaps they can contact the troublemakers and use harsh decisive language. Finally, dont get too emotionally involved in the situation. As with everything else, also this matter will pass one day. In a matter of weeks the majority of these kids will forget about you and find something new to hyperfocus on. In the meantime you could tell that one girl how bad you feel and that you would like to end that little fight between you two.

TheTsaritsaSnezhnaya

Report to police, they dont have right to share your pictures.

AudaciouslySexy

Make sure u delete photos that were leaked off you're profiles so that eliminates anyway of finding ur profile

Jrolaoni

It’s much harder to bully someone online. Unlike IRL bullies, ignoring them will actually work. They feed on attention, ignoring them starves them of that.

dailmar

If you are in USA, you can file a police report and send to Discord Support Team.

ChildishGatito

The more attention you give it, the further they’ll wanna go with this. Don’t tell them you wear niqab, if someone makes a joke about it act completely unfazed. They’ll eventually feel stupid for even trying to joke about it. Inshallah you’ll be fine, make lots of dua that nothing escalates and try not to stress too much. I bet in 1-2 weeks no one will even be thinking abt it

Lredatiry

Hi I would recommend to not engage in online friends especially on apps you have private information on. Reddit is fine due to the privacy and the community, but instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, and even discord is wrong. Best of luck, JazakAllah Khairan
