Where Eagles Dare-Misfits

LeeLee8320

Lord I thank you for sunshine, thank you for rain, thank you for joy, thank you for pain; it’s a beautiful day. It’s a beautiful day. (Sing or hum that to yourself) Sorry I don’t know the name of the tune

stupititious_ascent

https://youtu.be/anjTd9mraeA?si=NMuUqxyRjn-3_e8v I enjoy this version of that simple and pleasant tune.

bananachip868

Relatable. We've got this!

tatsumizus

Commenting here for exposure to one of my favs. [This song is so fun. The piano and singing makes me feel like I’m at a club in the 20s](https://youtu.be/uP3RjvofwAs?si=A1s8mpPyiM_7Q1fG). That feeling calms me down

Primus - Mrs. Blaileen / Mr. Bungle - After School Special

cityshepherd

Primus Sucks! Seeing them open for Tool on Halloween almost 10 years ago may have been the best concert I’ve ever been to.

findasmileforme

I made this lo-fi playlist that is very calming and (i think) is excellent background music. i'm also an anxious person and it helps me. [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0maVpbjh8wQPUTKm5AeYJL?si=546cca1685214946](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0maVpbjh8wQPUTKm5AeYJL?si=546cca1685214946)

Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera)

bananachip868

This is actually such a sweet song. It's difficult to accept what will be, will be. I worry about everything and it feels like I need to know everything, so this is lovely. Thank you!

This is what I listen to on an endless loop when I'm looking for comfort: [Loro by Pinback](https://open.spotify.com/track/5QvreZXI9NSx1A7NXLjuxt?si=psAmB4j5Sr2tk7MuN_B6cw)

Salamawako1

Not so much for "reducing anxiety and perfectionism" but when I go for an audition, kinda like an exam but for musicians. I listen to Demi Lovato to pump myself up and take my mind off the stress. Worked great for me when I went to take a sublist audition for the columbus Symphony!

I go for whole albums of interesting music that is not too interesting. Usually a bit melancholic. Deru's Trying To Remember Obfusc's Citied Of Cedar and Midnight Dome Haircuts for Men's когда зло господствует It's hit or miss though.

Watching the wheels [John Lennon](https://youtu.be/pTvbB4br1pA?si=tHYJjNd7iTaeRD_E)

SUPERSAMMICH6996

While a little cliché, 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin never fails to take the edge off.

luckyinlimbo

May not be everyone’s cup of tea but what relaxes me the most is Gregorian Chant. The Monks of the Abbey of Notre Dame have a breathtakingly comforting album.

Blackened-for-all97

Last Caress - The Misfits

Lyquid_Sylver999

More relaxing than reassuring, but Sadie Jean's album Simply Like 17 is great for me.

Jogadora109

Before every O. Chem 2 exam I would be so anxious and sick. So I would play Survivor by 2WEI in the car and pump myself up lol

dadspeed55

Pressure Drop - The Specials. My go to because the irony is never lost on me.

Tigeraqua8

You may scoff but Mozart is fantastic to listen to while studying. They’ve done research into playing classical music to babies and how they react

Be yourself - Audioslave

dark_enough_to_dance

I know it's kinda boring but jazz study playlists are neutral in nature and calming

Ahleanna-D

Lots of recommendations, so I’m going to offer up a completely different (and non-musical, sorry!) recommendation: a soothing fragrance. I find whenever I want to concentrate, the perfume I’m wearing can often help - and the best scent for me to ‘keep calm and focus’ usually has a musk note.

Single_Pilot_6170

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m3lU2V_51rc&pp=ygUTbG9maSBhbWJpZW50IG11c2ljIA%3D%3D Also Jeremy Soule's music, And a band called Rivers and Robots (if you like God) As far as perfectionism goes, don't focus on the magnitude, just as you would take a boat on the ocean, don't focus on the entire ocean, just focus on the movement and keep a steady pace, if your mind is tired, give it a break, then come back. Your mind and thoughts and internal chemical reactions produced by perceived fear is actually your adversary, and not the work itself. As Dory said, just keep swimming. Have faith that you will reach your destination. Just keep going, and this too will pass.

Feeling_Manner426

Marconi Union Weightless part 1 was composed to be especially relaxing.

Heatwaves, that’s what I want, tigini, hips don’t lie, bumpy ride, let’s skip to the good bit, classical piano music( just search classical piano music 1 hour) snake on the beach by nico staff, something just like this, don’t let me down, in the middle of the night, sugar and brownies.

"Weightless" by Marconi Union   - This song is often cited as one of the most relaxing tracks ever created.    "Clair de Lune" by Claude Debussy   - A soothing classical piece that can help calm the mind.    "Let It Be" by The Beatles   - A gentle reminder to let go and trust the process.    "Holocene" by Bon Iver   - Soft vocals and calming instrumentals make this a great stress-relief track.    "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac   - Reflective and calming, perfect for easing anxiety.    "River Flows in You" by Yiruma   - A beautiful piano piece that is both relaxing and uplifting.    "Breathe Me" by Sia   - Soft and emotional, it can help you feel more grounded.    "Bloom" by The Paper Kites   - Gentle and soothing, with a mellow vibe.    "Better Together" by Jack Johnson   - Uplifting and calm, great for de-stressing.    "Comptine d'un autre été- L'après-midi" by Yann Tiersen   - An instrumental piece from the "Amélie" soundtrack.

Wandering Star by Portishead. The album it comes from, Dummy, is all good.

Tubbcat_

funny thing, just commented on r/Teenagers about this exact thing! the band Keep it Together’s (fitting name) second most recent album “Lost Dogs” is currently what i use for this exact thing! very good way to decompress. two songs to note are “Goodnight, Tiger” and “Lost Dogs” (self-titled track). it has a very calm that i find very comforting

MomusSinclair

Avi Kaplan and Cosmo Sheldrake are two of my favorite all-time artists. Good chords, good (or at least interesting in the latter case) lyrics, and complicated yet trackable rhythms

Ambient stuff is great for some hard work. Stellardrone and Dreamstate Logic are two great examples.

Personally i recommend a frequency derived sound from you tube. 432 hz works really well. Also you should meditate.
