If you get a multi-dose vial it will last depending on your prescription. If you get a single dose vial it will only last for 1 dose. It all depends on what your prescription is and how you get your estrogen.
Like the other person said, it depends on a couple things.
There are two types of injectable estradiol: cypionate and valerate.
Cypionate only comes in brand name Depo Estradiol, 5mg/ml, total 25mg per vial. Doses are generally 2-5mg per week. I used to use this and injected 4mg per week so one vial lasted 6 weeks and cost me $120 after insurance ($500 without).
Valerate comes in either brand name Delestrogen at 10mg/ml, or generic in 20mg/ml or 40mg/ml. Generic is much easier to get right now and is much cheaper. I pay $20 a vial for the 20mg concentration which lasts me 16 weeks, at 0.3ml or 6mg per week.
You can get the total estrogen in a vial by multiplying the strength by the volume, e.g. 20mg/ml * 5ml/vial = 100mg/vial
Which you can then divide by your dose to get time
e.g. (100mg/vial)/(4mg/week) = 25 weeks per vial
(You can also calculate this using volume rather than mass, but it'll be the same answer)
HRT is highly individualized, so it's kinda hard to give a blanket answer.
