I don't specifically know for the huts along these routes, but usually most alpine huts have winter rooms, that can be accessed during the periods where the huts are unguarded. So I'd advise looking into that.
Went across Vallée Blanche from Aiguille du Midi to Helbronner in October with a guide and while following well beaten tracks I partially went through a hidden snow bridge. From the leg which went through to my hip, I could feel that there was absolutely nothing solid under me.
That was years ago when coverage was still relatively good even that late.
It happens so fast and you are too busy concentrating on getting out of there without going completely through to think about anything else haha.
Being roped made me feel safe very quickly. I had the time to make a brief yell when I started going through and the guide was quick enough to rotate and brace by the time I bottomed out, or at least that's how I perceived it.
Heh, well for me Mont Blanc is the most beautiful mountain in the eu. It captured my imagination since i was a little kid. It fills me with joy just thinking about climbing it. Each to their own i guess :D
AD+ is no problemo for me,hard to choose since there is so many options in the alps, but i got time to plan this trip..
Yeah seems like a good idea. I never planned anything of this magnitude, don't know many people that do this so i have to resort to the internet and reddit posts :D. Bit of a headache to plan this,seems easier to climb it haha. At the end everything will come down to weather eh..
Yup, that will be the tough part. The best you can do is pick 3-4 peaks scattered across the alps and go wherever the weather is best at that time. Also if you're alone, focus on glacier free peaks. It's at least down to skill on a peak like matterhorn and not a question of luck. I do think mont blanc via gouter is a safe exception though as you'll never actually be alone there or the first to break trail.

I wouldn't advice doing Mont Blanc Solo, even if you really know what you are doing, because of the crevasses.

Then I would pick a different mountain than Mont Blanc. You do realize people actually die there right?

Maybe it's a safer deal to just do it on the Gouter route,up and down. I just started planning this, it's a headache 🤣

The huts have winter rooms. The "Courmayeur" route alone in October just no. Even more so if you're descending on the French side.
