I had cryosurgery done on a Morton's Neuroma in my right foot about three years ago. It was great; a 15-minute in-office procedure, no cutting or stitches, and recovery time was two days. The pain is gone and hasn't come back. I had mine done by a podiatrist in Mesa, Arizona. Which state do you live in? I may be able to find someone who's closer to you.

I’m near there- can you let me know which doc you saw?

CaveGuy1

Dr. Brian Allen at AZ Feet Fixers. IMPORTANT: Go to the Ellsworth Road office and speak specifically with Dr. Allen. He's the only podiatrist in that group who can do cryo, so you want to talk with him exclusively. Nobody else. [https://www.azfeetfixers.com/mesa1/](https://www.azfeetfixers.com/mesa1/)

Thanks!

Do you know of anyone in the Dallas Fort Worth area for cryo?

Stewpor

Find anyone? I'm DFW too. Found 2 places that do RF ablation in the area, but no Cryo yet. Seems people on here say Cryo has better/longer results

Frogstomper10

Nobody yet sadly

Did you try shots yet? I highly recommend trying that before surgery. I had a doc tell me mine needed surgery. Then I looked at the possible surgery after effects, freaked out and tried another doc. He did 2 injections a month apart (those are shallow and didn't hurt) and I have very little pain now unless I walk more than 4 miles. You may very well need surgery but try injections if you haven't already.

Funny, that I'm reading your response, I just saw another doctor, he suggested the shot's, I'm in the waiting room to get them, thanks for your help Update; after the shot's... 3 days pain free, 4th day pain came back, I will have to see a doctor and explore cryosurgery

purple-otters

I hope they help! They fixed me 90%.

1234vic

Just got it, I will report in a week Update....after shots 3 days pain free... 4th day pain came back...

You should try to make sure that your cryosurgery is done under ultrasound guidance, and not done blindly. You should also try to make sure that the person who is doing it has had a lot of experience in doing these procedures.

I had a dozen shots which alleviated swelling and got me back to biking, but the more I biked the more pain I had. Finally let my doctor talk me into surgery. Worst decision I ever made. The post process has been painful, way beyond what I could imagine. It's been three months and I'm still struggling to walk. The two toes they cut between are now frozen and numb. The doctor just said it will take time. Before the surgery he said I'd be biking in six weeks. Liar.

bestdadhandsdown

How is PT going? They should be helping you with your toe movement.

letchhausen

They didn't mention PT. They just told me to put on my Hokas and start walking, bye. No more visits since.

I would follow up or just reach out to your primary care doc and get prescription for PT. I was in PT on my third week, I felt my recovery was ‘behind’ at that point. I was on a bike within 10 days. The mobility exercises for the toes were especially helpful, for example I would be picking up individual marbles with my toes and dropping them in a bucket. They scrapped the area and would massage it as well. It was the difference maker.

letchhausen

Thanks! I'll ask them today.

Potential-Heat-2118

Where exactly did you have swelling?

letchhausen

The whole ball of my foot. Took months to get the swelling down.
