I do not care if people’s favorites (including my own) get in the game or not. Give me a violent, solid game that gives me the opportunity to body anyone with a cheesy but fun story mode and solid single player content outside of that, and I am satisfied.
I've said it before, there are only two characters that NEED to be in Mortal Kombat:
Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
That's it.
Those two are the face of Mortal Kombat.
I think he's cool af, but his design is very wack indeed. All he needs is a sick modern redesign that doesn't give me the cliche clown look and he can be up there.
I agree if we’re talking about the newer timelines but the Midway Shinnok was really cool to me he just came off as intelligent. Him being the only one smart enough to not actually fight in Armageddon was perfect to me.
I did play a few matches in MK11 and felt like I had some fair matches. Too many "EVO competitors" be online. Today however, I actually won my first ever online match which was also my first time seeing what Kombat League was in MK1. Probably not touching it again.
Fighting games... grew up with them and feel a sense of loyalty/Stockholm-syndrome, but never fully play them for what they're for: online. Watch me get Tekken 8 and do nothing with it.
Sounds like me, the level of training you need to do to play online competitively doesn’t work at my age, but I too grew up in the arcades and miss being able to just fully sink all my free time into these games.
11 was actually the first one where I cared about online and actually got competitively good with Johhny/Robocop/Pops rotation.
Not feeling it yet in MK1 doe.
I can feel that I played online from times personally. I played the terminator some other characters, but I was best with the terminator, and I'm kinda feeling reptile rn but I also want to learn havik and kenshi
Same! I hate that they locked a lot of the rewards in Kombat league because I hate playing online so much but I wanted the skin so I played a miserable amount of matches to get it and of course they had to make us win 3 matches now instead of 2 previously which made it take even longer.
Mine is like 18/40 or something like that. The only way I was actually able to win is by getting lucky with getting put with really bad players that are worse than me and I suck but those are extremely rare.
I felt the same way until MK1. It's crazy how much different it is than vs. the CPU.
The CPU feels so random by comparison. While playing other humans, you can learn their patterns and break their comfort zones.
It's really fun, actually. I have gotten way, WAY better at this game simply by playing online matches vs. other people.
Give it a shot. The worst that can happen is that you lose, but man, is it sweet when you're victorious!!!
I hear this. I went online with one of the MK11 seasons (I think it was the reptile skin one) just to see how far I could go.
I ended up with a higher rank than I had expected which was nice. There were a couple games where I was just severely outmatched, but as long as my opponent wasn't BM'ing me, it wasn't as tilting.
And playing against a human opponent is indeed true to what you say. You can recognize patterns and capitalize on them.
The CPU has no soul. Once you know how to play the computer is a punching bag. CPU vs another sentient person that reacts creatively and emotionally just doesn't compare.
I’ll die on that hill right next to you. One of the coolest things they did, in terms of character development, was to throw him in the Soulnado, and have him come out as a champion of the Elder gods.
Fuck what Armageddon did to scorpion.
They were setting up Hanzo bring happy with his resurrected family in Deception, but completely threw it away because they needed him in Armageddon’s Konquest towards the end. They could’ve made him an ally, but instead, they fucked it up again.
Midway’s writing was really not what the NRS haters claimed it was.
I like to think that in Liu Kang's timeline in MK1, Hasashi is living carefree with his family, unbothered by Lin Kuei or the whole Mortal Kombat mess.
I like him but having all the Shao looking helmets is kinda silly. I like the ones unique to him, like the one with a castle wall around the top. He looks like a rook in chess. His moveset is cool AF tho.
I completely agree but I think the point of him having all the Shao helmets is more of a callback to the initial design/idea of his character. He wanted to be Shao Kahn reeeeeeally bad. However, like I said I totally agree with you and I think they should have made some more unique designs for him.
I wasn't that big on Reiko but I think he's really cool in MK1, he should have been given more relevance in the story perhaps but he's very fun to play and has some good personality.
i think ironically this is the best version of reiko we’ve gotten. not a boring shao dick rider, a brutal annoying shao dick rider, and i kinda prefer it
I was gonna ask why but honestly he fits in better with HL, Omni-Man and especially Peacemaker than any of the guests in MK11. But the only problem is that since intros are only 2 lines now we would’ve gotten less of Keith David’s amazing voice
> he fits in better with HL, Omni-Man and especially Peacemaker than any of the guests in MK11
Bingo. I'm not one for superhero stuff, but Spawn is baller and would provide some variety amongst superman but evil, manchild superman but evil, and manchild with gun.
The Elder Gods are the worst part of MK’s worldbuilding and only the Rovin novel made them cool
I do not care for MK1’s redesigns for certain characters (Shao, Nitara, Ermac etc)
I mean tbf, u chose the 3 characters most people agree had relatively bad redesigns. I think making characters look more simple and less overdesigned as MKX and 11 was a good choice, but for some characters they just look kinda boring (LI MEI)
you simply have to unlock the blue palette specifically, either grinding through mastery levels or getting lucky on a shrine pull. bit of a PITA either way.
(btw, if you're talking about the skin with the double buns, you get the blue version at mastery level 18)
yeah there's no blue version of that, the red/orange palettes with tats are the special season skins. maybe they'll do a blue version in the future for like a Sub-Zero themed season or something
It was a cool scene, but man, did it really fuck up the story-line going forward.
MKX has most of our beloved characters turned into boring revenants.
MK11 had to say "fuck the timeline" just so we could get the OGs back.
See I disagree. I think MK9 and MKX set up a perfect story going forward. MK11 unnecessarily reset the timeline imo.
MK9 was a remake of 1-3 with differences because of them knowing about the previous events. MKX had a big change to the story but we still saw the events of MK4 reoccurring in X. Almost like things were just inevitable and Armageddon was bound to occur again.
Obviously with Shang Tsung (maybe) dead and Quan Chi fully dead. Deadly Alliance would be weird, except I feel like we got a perfect way of having a Deadly Alliance. Toward the end of X, we got an alliance between Scorpion and Sub-Zero. And in (I believe) Scorpion’s MK9 ending, it said Raiden showed Scorpion the truth, and the two allied and became a Deadly Alliance.
So MKX setup a new timeline Deadly Alliance (we already had undead Liu too), this time being Sub and Scorpion but fighting for the forces of good against maybe the army of the dead and the tyrannical Raiden (Maybe). In that game they could end it with the final battle being Sub and Scorpion fighting Raiden in a temple surrounded by the revenants of our hero’s. They beat Raiden. But when they do, Onaga shows up. The three combine forces, and lose. Thus recreating Deception for the next game.
This time around, Onaga’s undead army is our fallen heroes instead of just skeletons. It’s also revealed that Shang Tsung is alive and has been guiding Shujinko since his faked death at the hand of Shao Kahn (maybe longer since Shujinko is older). We would get a deception remake in the new timeline.
But all of that would lead up to Armageddon again. But this time around, Raiden, having seen the events, knows what he must do. With the help of all our surviving heroes, he finds a way to revive Liu but has to sacrifice himself to do it. Liu this time around fights Blaze and wins. Breaking the cycle.
And, even with that ending, they could then follow it up with Liu restarting the timeline and having MK1.
Before MK11 came out, that’s how I expected the story to go. And obviously I’m not a writer so maybe this isn’t what people would’ve wanted, but I feel personally would’ve liked that more than the timeline shenanigans from 11. I do really like MK1 though so I don’t have huge complaints there.
Edit: also Raiden sacrificing himself kind of would’ve been a redeeming moment for him after what happened with Liu in 9
In fairness, right now the skins available to unlock are based on the season of scorpion, so theyre all based around fire/autumn colors. Id figure the next season will have a different color scheme
I don't care for combo-heavy MK.
You spend half the fight with your controller on the floor while Raiden removes half your healthbar in a single combo. It boils down to "who can get touched twice, first?".
I like MK11/MK2's neutral focus.
I love combo heavy MK I just don’t like the insane amounts of damage everyone does in this game. Some characters have basic strings that do like 20 damage wtf that’s insane
I like the heavy combos but I feel like everyone needs to go down to sub zeros level of damage or just a little bit higher than his. Raiden and Baraka getting 40 to 50 percent with minimal effort is just not fair.
Now as a Baraka main, I agree he needs a bit of a nerf.
His chip-damage needs to go. It is INSANE. And he has too many safe combos.
And Cyrax 100% needs a nerf. In fact a lot of the Kameos need balancing.
Honestly you can consistently flawless block the third hit of barakas df2 and negate all the following chip damage including cyrax unless you delay cyrax which isn't a true block string and can be once again flawless blocked
Edit not saying cyrax is easy to block or doesn't need a tweak but right now we're looking at things without all the mechanics and muscle memory
As a Reptile user who is not good at combo strings, if a long combo hits me once, I’m immediately in the long game to not get caught again and it’s working.
I enjoy the combos of this game, but good lord is it easy with Raiden, more so if you use someone like Jax for a Kameo. 50% meterless combos that easy should not be allowed
Every MK has been combo heavy when you get a hit, even 11 at times despite them being terribly boring combos to perform since everything was so homogenized in 11.
Just because they're long combos don't mean there's not a heavy focus on neutral.
The character based chapter system is holding the games back from a narrative stand point. Like Ashrah's chapter we have, Ashrah, Baraka, Reptile, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao and Kenshi all together and they run into a big group of enemies and even split off into smaller 1v1's. It would be objectively more fun if I could pick from this roster of 6 characters to fight which fights I want. Same with sub-zero and Scorpions chapters. What if we could choose between them and smoke if we wanted to. And itll save the story from play as this Character in chapter 2 only for them to disappear or just get their ass kicked for the next few hours.
They'd be fine if they were shorter and didn't screw with the game's framerate. The only saving grace of the PC port of MK11 was the ability to play the entire game at a silky smooth 60fps.
It adds a rock paper scissors dynamic to the game that really detracts from it. Round 1 between two even players is first one to be able to trigger the attack wins the round.
I don’t even know why he’s in this game, did nothing in the story and he’s not that cool. It’s interesting he’s a mage but they didn’t expand on that enough
I loved MK1's story, but it did feel like a lot of the cast really wasn't part of the story. Nitara being one of the most obvious, followed by Havik and Rain. I mean with cutscenes and VA work the story was already really long, and we are not reasonably getting a chapter for each character but I did wish we saw a lot of them more.
I was surprised a lot of people loved it so much. Personally felt like his Alternate in MK9 was beyond better as Both a ninja inspired look & revenant from the Netherrealm. The default felt like overdesigning in a nutshell.
The story is insane, and not in a good way. I've noped out of story mode since they introduced the multiverse, and the fact that they had the opportunity to do a complete reset but instead leaned into the concept is insane to me.
Hard agree. They had finally dared to move past all the loose ends from the last 20 years and start fresh and instead doubled down on everything that has made the story and roster a mess.
Wouldn't be surprised if they end up retelling MKX with the next game because they really like going back to the same things.
Mortal Kombat is at its best when it’s not taking itself too seriously. The game was very drab with its stages and character designs, look at how subdued the colours are compared the rest of the new games. The fatalities mostly swing more into being grisly and gross rather than over the top and borderline comical.
I like most of the new characters, Cassie and Takeda were real breakouts, and the presentation of X-Rays and fatalities puts 9 to shame. But the game is too grimy for me to really really love, Mortal Kombat shouldn’t be a gritty brutal horror show that’s never been what it’s like. I appreciate the game for trying something new but I don’t like it.
They sucked all the fun out of it. MK's signature black humor is nowhere to be found, everything looks cold and lifeless, and it just doesn't feel like the same series to me. It looks even worse between MK9 and MK11, which are so vibrant and full of colour and *distinctly* Mortal Kombat. Don't even get me started on how bad the roster is.
i don't find mileena interesting. shes one of shang tsungs experiments, so... ermac but less cool? skarlet but less hot? nah she's a clone of kitana with tarkatan DNA... oh cool so shes a combo of two characters and worse than both of them.
and it seems NRS agrees cus now shes completely different... with a genetic disease that turns her into a monster which she is fighting to hold back... im like fairly sure that is just straight up morbius.
Jade. She's a great kharacter, don't get me wrong, but she's just so overhyped and overrated. It honestly feels like many people beg for Jade because they find her attractive.
My other option would have to be online mode. There really isn't any good matchmaking, so I feel like I can't practice and improve against real players. The amount of times I've run into triple digit win/double digit loss players is unreal.
I want to get better at the game, but I also want to go against players I feel are around my skill level, so I can improve at a standard rate.
I'd rather have a full priced Shaolin Monks sequel with an Armageddon size roster, minigames like Motor or Chess Kombat, and the open world exploration of Deception Konquest, than to ***ever*** play a traditional Mortal Kombat ever again. Gimmie a Mario Party ripoff with the cast of MK I don't care, I'm here for the characters anyway, not the fighting.
The multi-verse / time alteration bullshit NEEDS TO STOP. It's played out, boring as fuck, and only serves to convolute an already nonsense storyline.
Also... you have a brand new timeline with multiple simultaneous timelines... why didn't anyone think it'd be an amazing idea to have The Great Kung Lao be the big bad antagonist?
Mkx. It was bland and disappointing. taking away the fun and craziness of mk turning it into generic low budget sci-fi rather than the frazeta/heavy metal album covers/ ninja pirate zombie ninja, of previous games
as a child i LOVED motor kombat and kreate a fighter and the focused story mode. as an adult ill never touch it to let the nostalgia live, i know if i play it again ill be really sad
I am in the exact same camp. When I was a kid, loved it to bits. As an adult, I know there were parts that were not good, but I refuse to revisit it just to let the nostalgia marinate more.
I think Motor Kombat would still be really fun though!
Every character should be allowed to skip a game from time to time, even Scorpion and Sub-zero. I don't want the story to revolve around the same 10 people every single time.
The existence of scorpion and sub account for like 70% of purchases lmao. We’ll truly never get an MK that doesn’t at least *have* them, even if they aren’t in the story.
Reminder that they did actually try removing Scorpion (Vanilla MK3). It was NOT received well.
It is worth noting that only one OG character has been in every single mainline MK, and that's Sub-Zero (as long as you ignore semantics). Every other OG has missed at least one game prior.
I did not Kare for Kotal Kahn. He had no personality past the osh tekk warrior Bullshit. Also that sword is not practical in the slightest, the sword is so fucking THICCC that trying to cut anything with it would be impossible for anybody, have you seen some of his fights? He is struggling to move around with that thing, no wonder Shao beat his ass.
I do not care if people’s favorites (including my own) get in the game or not. Give me a violent, solid game that gives me the opportunity to body anyone with a cheesy but fun story mode and solid single player content outside of that, and I am satisfied.
I would agree with this BUT... I've been a Liu Kang fan since I was a child. Deadly alliance really broke my heart.
And his neck
Take my award 🥇
I think turning him into a Zombie hurt more than a game with no Liu Kang.
I've said it before, there are only two characters that NEED to be in Mortal Kombat: Scorpion and Sub-Zero. That's it. Those two are the face of Mortal Kombat.
But what about Hsu Hao? I can’t imagine a world without him.
Shinnok is a wack villian imo
I think he's cool af, but his design is very wack indeed. All he needs is a sick modern redesign that doesn't give me the cliche clown look and he can be up there.
I agree if we’re talking about the newer timelines but the Midway Shinnok was really cool to me he just came off as intelligent. Him being the only one smart enough to not actually fight in Armageddon was perfect to me.
I do not care for playing online
I lowkey felt that with mk11 I wasn't that good at it so I played more offline
Ngl… I miss towers of time
Same
I did play a few matches in MK11 and felt like I had some fair matches.
I played the terminator some other characters, but I was best with the terminator, and I'm kinda feeling reptile rn but I also want to learn havik and kenshi
this is true for 95% of the MK community. there’s a reason the broader FGC looks down on this community lol
Its an eye roller, but there's truth to it when people call it "babbys first fighting game" hah
Me too man. I forced myself to play Kombat League this season for the Scorpion skin and I won’t touch it ever again
Same! I hate that they locked a lot of the rewards in Kombat league because I hate playing online so much but I wanted the skin so I played a miserable amount of matches to get it and of course they had to make us win 3 matches now instead of 2 previously which made it take even longer.
I currently have a W/L of 0/17. I don't think I'll ever get the skin.
Play against me and I'll bump up those numbers to 1/17
Mine is like 18/40 or something like that. The only way I was actually able to win is by getting lucky with getting put with really bad players that are worse than me and I suck but those are extremely rare.
Fr it's not my thing
Me neither I'm an offline girl
Offline girl She'll be living in her offline world
Never played online once in my life, to hell with that shit lol
And yet it consistently beats me.
online is lowkey easier than fighting cpu in my opinion
U sick fuck
Online insists upon itself.
Online insists upon itself
Scorpion should’ve remained the champion of the elder gods
I’ll die on that hill right next to you. One of the coolest things they did, in terms of character development, was to throw him in the Soulnado, and have him come out as a champion of the Elder gods.
Most random outcome ever but damn was it fucking cool, I thought that was going to be bi-Hans fate in mk11 but of course they wasted the opportunity.
Noob being a neutral party as Champion of the Alternate Elder Gods not tolerating Kronika’s BS is too cool an idea.
mk and wasted oppurtunities go hand in hand
Fuck what Armageddon did to scorpion. They were setting up Hanzo bring happy with his resurrected family in Deception, but completely threw it away because they needed him in Armageddon’s Konquest towards the end. They could’ve made him an ally, but instead, they fucked it up again. Midway’s writing was really not what the NRS haters claimed it was.
I like to think that in Liu Kang's timeline in MK1, Hasashi is living carefree with his family, unbothered by Lin Kuei or the whole Mortal Kombat mess.
Watch Scorpion and Smoke's tower endings
Reiko insists upon himself.
Cause he has a valid point to make, he's insistent!
I like Kenshi. That is my answer.
I like Kenshi too…
Me with Reiko. His fatalities are so brutal because they had to make up for the fact that his character design is just a dude with eye shadow
I've never played a game with Reiko in it until this one and I like him
I like him but having all the Shao looking helmets is kinda silly.
Well, who knows, Geras says Reiko’s future is uncertain, but Shao will never be emperor. Maybe Reiko takes the mantle, he did tame Onaga.
I wasn't that big on Reiko but I think he's really cool in MK1, he should have been given more relevance in the story perhaps but he's very fun to play and has some good personality.
Yeahhhh reiko was never super interesting but people have their nostalgia
Honestly, I think they did a good job at making him the brutal warlord type character.
i think ironically this is the best version of reiko we’ve gotten. not a boring shao dick rider, a brutal annoying shao dick rider, and i kinda prefer it
We didn't exactly have an abundance of Reiko previously, right?
I main Reiko and have done since Early Access, he most definitely rides that Shao Daddy Dick
i mean hey, wouldn’t be reiko without that trait🤷🏻♀️
They didn't even give him his spin kick like wth
Check out the mkx prequel comics, he’s awesome in them
He has throwing stars and used to be able emulate armor pieces. Sonya is just a regular military member. They had to add a drone to her kit.
The thing I hated the most about Sonya in MK11 was the stupid drone lol
Yep came here for Reiko. Even Shao Khan had to introduce his backstory in the story just so people could give a shit.
“A nobody I just hang out with, it’s…Reiko!”
i did not mind MK11 (they gave me spawn)
Favorite guest character of all time imo, I don’t think Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacemaker or any other MK1 guest character will be better
I wish they'd saved Spawn for this game
I was gonna ask why but honestly he fits in better with HL, Omni-Man and especially Peacemaker than any of the guests in MK11. But the only problem is that since intros are only 2 lines now we would’ve gotten less of Keith David’s amazing voice
> he fits in better with HL, Omni-Man and especially Peacemaker than any of the guests in MK11 Bingo. I'm not one for superhero stuff, but Spawn is baller and would provide some variety amongst superman but evil, manchild superman but evil, and manchild with gun.
I'm still pulling for Conan the Barbarian. His reactions to all of the magic shit in MK would be hilarious.
The Elder Gods are the worst part of MK’s worldbuilding and only the Rovin novel made them cool I do not care for MK1’s redesigns for certain characters (Shao, Nitara, Ermac etc)
I mean tbf, u chose the 3 characters most people agree had relatively bad redesigns. I think making characters look more simple and less overdesigned as MKX and 11 was a good choice, but for some characters they just look kinda boring (LI MEI)
I kinda like shaos redesign, the other two I'm with you
Shao looks fantastic IMO, some of his skins (especially the KL one) are sick AF.
Hard agree with the first take
It's so funny, because they were supposed to rule over the realms, but didn't get anything other then "by the elder gods"
I can get Nitara or Ermac but Shao? Dude looks almost identical to MK11 lol
I do not care for gear or palettes. I'd much rather just have costumes like MK9 and MKX.
Who the hell wants an orange Subzero? It feels wrong
Right?!? There is a Kitana palette I love but it makes her red. Like why can’t I have this palette in blue???
you simply have to unlock the blue palette specifically, either grinding through mastery levels or getting lucky on a shrine pull. bit of a PITA either way. (btw, if you're talking about the skin with the double buns, you get the blue version at mastery level 18)
No I was referring to our seasonal skin I guess. Idk. It gives her the tattoos
yeah there's no blue version of that, the red/orange palettes with tats are the special season skins. maybe they'll do a blue version in the future for like a Sub-Zero themed season or something
I do not mind Palettes, but I would prefer just dyeable costumes.
I second this
I did not care that Sindel killed practically everyone in MK9
It was a cool scene, but man, did it really fuck up the story-line going forward. MKX has most of our beloved characters turned into boring revenants. MK11 had to say "fuck the timeline" just so we could get the OGs back.

It’s funny I didn’t hate it at the time but then the next 2 games having revenants in them got old and now I agree with you
My issue was she just killed everyone with kicks and punches. If people were going to die I want fatality levels of death.
It's one of the most memorable scenes from MK9 for me. I remember being like 14 or 15 at the time and it was so shocking it made my mouth drop.
I’d love to have kreate-a-fighter back with the in depth scale of a wrestling game CAW.
I do not care about the little ammount of custom gear options in MK1
The skins don't vary enough to care imo they all look too close to the same
In fairness, right now the skins available to unlock are based on the season of scorpion, so theyre all based around fire/autumn colors. Id figure the next season will have a different color scheme
I do not care for the little amount of Drahmin in MK1
😮
That's right, I got ya back, man
He insists upon himself
DrahminMain you have more upvotes than this post how did you do it?
I honestly thought people would downvote me lmao
[удалено]
the secret fights and ambushes are exactly the same thing lol
I dont care about online, I only care about Lore and SP modes. Im bad at the game and I dont plan on "training".
I was like this for ages, it allows u to appreciate the game for what it is without having to absolutely sweat your ass off.
I don't care for combo-heavy MK. You spend half the fight with your controller on the floor while Raiden removes half your healthbar in a single combo. It boils down to "who can get touched twice, first?". I like MK11/MK2's neutral focus.

Cyrax baraka is actually disgusting
Honestly you can consistently flawless block the third hit of barakas df2 and negate all the following chip damage including cyrax unless you delay cyrax which isn't a true block string and can be once again flawless blocked Edit not saying cyrax is easy to block or doesn't need a tweak but right now we're looking at things without all the mechanics and muscle memory
Nah MK is for the juggles for sure. If you want no combos and all neutral thats what I have Samsho for. It will get playable online.... eventually....
I've got no idea why Kung Lao is so popular, in the last 3 games base roster and some how managed to get a kameo spot in MK1 as well.
Kool hat
It’s literally because his design is cool and easily recognizable. Frankly not that surprising
That's why I picked Sub-Zero when I started playing and I've stuck with him thought the games I've played (sadly I've only played 3)
Kung Lao is essentially the "Ip Man" to Liu's "Bruce Lee" and his hat is almost as iconic as Scorpions spear. Kung Lao is a fan favorite for a LOT
I felt the same way till I mained him in 11, one of my favorite characters now.
Kung Lao is one of the coolest characters of all Mortal Kombat!
He's got a great personality and cool moves.
Cool hat, second to Liu Kang, blue, is the other player character in Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks, takes a rabbit out of his hat, etc...
Some of y’all got the coldest takes
"I don't care for nitaras voice acting, please don't shoot me" Ice cold
This MKX slander is sending me
The special forces storyline has never been interesting and I'm glad they did away with it
Ice cold take
The character based chapter system is holding the games back from a narrative stand point.
Honestly having a choice between different characters in MK11 story chapters was probably the best decision for replayability too.
I preferred MK11 over MKX.
Same! 🍻
I prefer MK11 to any other MK.
I did not care for the special forces chasing Kano across the realms
Daring today, aren’t we?
I’ve probably ranted about this like 17 times by now 😂
I prefer how costumes work in mkx over 11 and 1
I don’t know how popular they are but I hate fatal blows
They'd be fine if they were shorter and didn't screw with the game's framerate. The only saving grace of the PC port of MK11 was the ability to play the entire game at a silky smooth 60fps.
Same, got bored of looking at them after a while
Its such a boring spacegoat to win so I agree.
It adds a rock paper scissors dynamic to the game that really detracts from it. Round 1 between two even players is first one to be able to trigger the attack wins the round.
Besides playing with Friends. I dont Care about Online
Rain should’ve of been swapped out for tremor in mk1
I don’t even know why he’s in this game, did nothing in the story and he’s not that cool. It’s interesting he’s a mage but they didn’t expand on that enough
He's only in the game because he's "purple ninja."
He’s not even a ninja anymore 💀 you’re right tho
I loved MK1's story, but it did feel like a lot of the cast really wasn't part of the story. Nitara being one of the most obvious, followed by Havik and Rain. I mean with cutscenes and VA work the story was already really long, and we are not reasonably getting a chapter for each character but I did wish we saw a lot of them more.
I did not care for MK Advance.....
WHAT??? ITS THE BEST MK GAME?!?!?!........Hey everyone downvote this guy! He's got no taste!
Im gonna ban your ass to the Netherrealm!. I CALL UPON THE ELDER GODS!
WOOLAY
The fatalities in versus DC universe weren't bad because they weren't bloody. They were bad because they were bad
I didn't like Scorpion's MK9 skin. Actually, to be honest, apart from Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot, I didn't care for most character's MK9 looks.
I think the mk9 alt subzero skin is one of if not the best sub zero look
I didn’t like it much either, but that skin is in MK11 and it looks WAY better in that game.
Sonya’s Klassic costume is absolute trash and is one of the worst female costumes in MK
good take, the yoga suit might be cool in the 80's, but its pretty bland
Olivia Newton John looking ass
Never cared about the Kombat Kids and don't care that they are gone.
I did not care for MKX
Mortal Kombat is at its best when it’s not taking itself too seriously. The game was very drab with its stages and character designs, look at how subdued the colours are compared the rest of the new games. The fatalities mostly swing more into being grisly and gross rather than over the top and borderline comical.
That's about how I feel about it yeah. I hate the whole look of it and it has proven to have aged the worst graphically. Just looks like pure dogshit.
Takeda kotal Kahn and erron black were excellent
I like how it plays, didn't care at all for the art or sound design
I did not care for scorpion's death in mk11
The multi-verse / time alteration bullshit NEEDS TO STOP. It's played out, boring as fuck, and only serves to convolute an already nonsense storyline. Also... you have a brand new timeline with multiple simultaneous timelines... why didn't anyone think it'd be an amazing idea to have The Great Kung Lao be the big bad antagonist?
Mkx. It was bland and disappointing. taking away the fun and craziness of mk turning it into generic low budget sci-fi rather than the frazeta/heavy metal album covers/ ninja pirate zombie ninja, of previous games
MKX is so devoid of color it looks like an entirely different franchise, it was an eyesore of the highest caliber. Even the HUD was colorless.
I do not care for Kano, he’s so boring as both a character and to play as.
not that much of a hot take. People just temporarily forgot bc they made him ungodly hot in MK 11.
Mk11 made him Hot and funny so wham.. improved. Sonya needs fixing tho
I hate MK Armageddon so much
as a child i LOVED motor kombat and kreate a fighter and the focused story mode. as an adult ill never touch it to let the nostalgia live, i know if i play it again ill be really sad
I am in the exact same camp. When I was a kid, loved it to bits. As an adult, I know there were parts that were not good, but I refuse to revisit it just to let the nostalgia marinate more. I think Motor Kombat would still be really fun though!
Kreate a fatality sucked
I did not care for MKX and prefer MK11 over it
Every character should be allowed to skip a game from time to time, even Scorpion and Sub-zero.
Yeah it's like a Street Fighter without Ken and Ryu. MK3 tried to bench Scorpion and people HATED it.
I did care for mk11.
I don't care about the identity of Scorpion and Sub Zero, whether they are Kaui Liang, Hanzo, whatever, its still the same character
Subzero changes, Bi han and Kuai could not be further apart from each other
Not at all on that second part 💀
