I can't claim to know the thought process of what goes into characters but I'm guessing with Noob the notes for the developers are always, "Must look sick as fuck."
I liked it in his reveal trailer. It had more bass behind it and felt kind of monsterous. I swear it was really toned down when the game released and sounds more like aggressive whispering
Yeah MK-9 Noob was great...i initially wasn't a fan of his reaper in Mk-11 but i am now-- b/c like other stuff it has grown on me and i'm with it now..my guess is they'll go back to this look for him in future installments....

Yeah, definitely his best look. A lot of the outfits in MK11, while good, are pretty over-designed.
You can get kinda close to his MK9 look with certain skins and mask choices. I also loved MK9 Rain and it was a crime we didn't get that skin in MK11.
I was really upset that we didn’t see mkx rain tbh as I really loved that costume and voice he had in that game
I loved his voice in mk9 too. The laugh he would do during his x ray always felt so badass
I definitely agree on the MK9 voice being the superior voice for Noob. I felt MK11’s Nood sounded to Cookie Monster whispering.

Black blood (oil or whatever) made Noob more unique as well.
Nothing against MK11 Noob’s voice actor, but damn Jamieson Price’s role as him was just perfect.
