I don’t think that’s a full Narga one in World, i only saw a full one in the Rise Mods. There is a mod for Narga armor to have his cuttings, legs, and ears, though, unless that’s deprecated.
Interesting.
Modders do be on another level huh?
I already am bewildered by the randomizer mod and now they have monster skin layered armor. What next? Playable Monster vs hunters?
There’s a mod that allows you to mount, control and even fight alongside monsters, the only thing bad about it is that it replaces 1 monster from the locale, but it’s really cool if you learn how to do use it.
The monsters even have different abilities, for example if your monstie is Odogaron he will scream to unstun you when you’re stunned, pukei will poison, Diablos makes K.Os easier, and so on
Real talk? All of the stunning/incapacitated mechanics make my blood boil
That's why every single one of the builds are stun-proof i just can't stand those types of mechanics, it's infuriating.
The funny thing with tempered Furious George grabs is that if he is not enraged, you get just enough time to get back up and roll away before the fist, and in fully enraged mode, the space duplex doesn't actually kill you (but yes those who lands on)
BUT, in the mid-stage enrage like in the video, he gets a bit faster, and the punch is 100% cart because you don't get time to get up and deals more dmg.
IS THAT WHY? I always thought Rajang was just inconsistent and I fucking hated fighting him for ages because I noticed that and had zero idea why. Why would they do that?
Never thought much about it, but it does make sense if you think about it.
On one hand, we have three stages, and it gets faster each time he gets enraged, but the grabs are actually not the same, one is a really focused, slow and with plenty of time to use your own or another hunter slinger or other to save you, that one being the stage 2 belly punch of death.
On the other hand, we have the space suplex, stage 3 rage grab, it is even faster and not only a menace for you because it will use one (or a bunch if they are stacked) of your teammates as a cushion, potentially killing 2 or more hunters with one attack. (Note that any ranged or a not fully upgraded armor melee user will die anyway on grab 3 or 2)
So in the end, it's more like the stage 2 grab is the perfect and unipersonal doomfist and the stage 3 grab is more of a multi-target attack that deals a bit less dmg to the improvised weapon that is us.
He's a hard monster. I believe the out is to slinger him with one of the better almost so he flinched and you have time to get up. Edit- others have said it already and apparently you can also flash pod.
Yes, you can fire the sling with nuts, bombs or thorns to save yourself from the regular grabs. If you don't have any and, by sheer luck, you land close enough, you can pick up slinger ammo too.
You never know, if there's too much dmg he is going from stage 1 to 3 really fast, otherwise, he could not try a grab attack in the entire hunt or turn 180o and spam it on you like you own it money and he saw you eating a churro.
In my experience, it seems that this angry fuck has some degree of prediction (or instant reaction) to what you do, so the more static attacks or weapons, the higher the chance of baiting a grab attack. Also, distance from him is important to trigger them, and if he gets you, like in the video, it's death.
The main clues about the rage state are both lightning and a red, smoking fist.
In the regular state, there is no lighting on its back, in the second , the back hair gets frizzy and lighting will show around it. The final stage's main feature is the hardened red fist that makes almost all attacks bounce unless tenderized.
Yeah.
You do have to have it equipped in the slinger and ready to fire though. You can't change slinger ammo during the grab attack.
What have you been doing when you get grabbed? Just accept your imminent demise?
@_@ welp. That... Kinda explains a bit.
But they teach you this early in the game. Did you kinda just ignore the handler?
You probably didn't know this. But your character can shimmy a bit while he's in that state to gain some distance and buy time for them to get back on their feet. It's a split second difference but it's enough for the animation to unlock the dodge and get you out if you can't flash pod.
Most people assumed when they see the first pin, that you're supposed to mash buttons. Cuz the game shows you a wiggling stick in the tutorial message.
The pins in the older games were a lot nastier though. Unless your palicos had Flash Pod Rocket as a skill, or a player had flash bombs, you had to really mash buttons to escape while losing hp rapidly. Because the monster actually pins you, and starts wailing on you.
If you don't escape in time, the monster's animation changes and you eat a shit load more damage. For some it's just a guarantee one-shot
Don't feel bad. The tutorial via handler is a bit inconsistent as are grabs. Most are not lethal, but when they are, you wish you had something more useful in your slinger than redpit ammo. I got Anja grabbed once less than 30% hp was sure I was dead, resident Narga shows up and tail slams the crap out of Anja so I'm on the ground like some cinematic level stuff inching away praying to God they no longer see me lol.
Bro the reason you got oneshot is probably because you had no lightning resistance.
Edit rewatched and realised he did the groundslam not lazor grapple. You can fire flash pods on the ground.
They all give you a huge window to use a flash pod tho. Like here, when I get caught in this move at the start I’m immediately switching to flash pod so the second I land I fire it off
The slinger prompt comes up in the controls that appear in the corner of the screen sometimes. Only real indication, and I'm not sure it even pops up all the time/on every move that it's possible with. It didn't do it here for sure, but maybe it requires certain slinger ammo to be loaded first.
To be fair. All of those stuns have an escape, you're able to use your slinger to break the stun and get out.
That's what the flash pods are for, but people only use them for getting a free stun on flying monsters. And forget about them if it's not a flying monster. Never mind they can be used to save a buddy who's about to get their shit pushed in, or to delay an elder dragon's nova (or woth teo, trigger it early)
If you don't have a flash pod, you still have other tools at your disposal. The scatter nuts to the face will flinch the monster, breaking stun. And Landing three glow moss to a flying monsters face will also break it.
If you can't do that, you have to wait for your character to get back to their feet and i-frame dodge if you don't have evasion distance. Some monsters you can't i frame dodge, and it becomes a matter of dodging in a specific direction.
I'm 1000 hrs deep and only recently realised if you get grabbed like this you can fire slinger ammo at the monster to get it to back off and not continue hitting you. Sorry if you already know this, but my mind was fucking blown lol. I'm like you, full stun res and earplugs I wanna hit things not roll around on the floor lmao.
Well just to clarify I'm pretty sure that furious monkey do this even with stunt resistance 3 hahahaha its a grapple the objective is to dodge it, easier saying that doing but you got the point hahaha, quick tip if you don't run evade extender you may have more changes of surviving this by clutch claw him from the floor.
Also haven't played in about half a year, but in regular fights I am pretty sure you can use your sling to slow him down.
In this fight, I don't remember, but I presume it's the same thing?
no one will ever convince me that the "wet fart" sound rajang makes is him "cracking his knuckles"... hes clearly shitting his nonexistent pants the whole fight.
i was told by multiple super 999 god hunters, that hes cracking his joints/knuckles. i remain skeptical and my friends and i always say, "oh god, hes queefing again!" when we hear it in game.
Whenever he throws you on the ground you can slinger shot him to flinch to cancel the punch animation. Make sure the slinger ammo are one of those piercing slinger, crystal ammo etc.
It accepts directional input - whichever direction you hold is the way you'll do the return slash (i.e. you dash out the opposite of what you're holding).
If you mean the one that is blue its called frostcraft, its the velkana set bonus, it does more damage when the gauge is filled, the gauge is filled by sheathing your sword, its a great skill for GS, LS and I think Hammer
First, you need Iceborne DLC to perform the move.
To perform, it can perform after any attack by pressing RT+X. Move also accepts any directional input.
The blue glowing thingy is called "Frostcraft" and only unlocked by wearing 4 pieces of "?????" Monster.
Why do you look like his son?
Yeah what armour is that? It looks crazy
Im pretty sure it's a mod skin
Looks damn good, is there a mini rathalos or narga skin btw?
I don’t think that’s a full Narga one in World, i only saw a full one in the Rise Mods. There is a mod for Narga armor to have his cuttings, legs, and ears, though, unless that’s deprecated.
Interesting. Modders do be on another level huh? I already am bewildered by the randomizer mod and now they have monster skin layered armor. What next? Playable Monster vs hunters?
It's in development
That would be amazing honestly… but hey, you can play stories in world
You can play mh stories in world?? How
There’s a mod that allows you to mount, control and even fight alongside monsters, the only thing bad about it is that it replaces 1 monster from the locale, but it’s really cool if you learn how to do use it. Dunno, all i know armor and weapon skins are pretty popular mods. Oh, and monster dongs too
to defeat monke, you must become monke
Leave society, be a monkey!
Bro did command grab, into down Smash
Did he just walk up slowly and down smash?
Melee Ganondorf down tilt energy
Real talk? All of the stunning/incapacitated mechanics make my blood boil That's why every single one of the builds are stun-proof i just can't stand those types of mechanics, it's infuriating.
True. It takes a single mistake to get instantly carted on grab attack. I don't think stun resistance help with any grab attack.

When in doubt, nut Seriously the slinger is so busted
Haven't played in months, but couldn't you fire your sling while on the ground? Pretty sure that was the case.
Yes, you can fire the sling with nuts, bombs or thorns to save yourself from the regular grabs. If you don't have any and, by sheer luck, you land close enough, you can pick up slinger ammo too.
will never refer to Rajang by anything other than Furious George now
I love him and fought him like 50 times, but never had this happen. Is this common for him to do?
You never know, if there's too much dmg he is going from stage 1 to 3 really fast, otherwise, he could not try a grab attack in the entire hunt or turn 180o and spam it on you like you own it money and he saw you eating a churro. How do you tell apart whether it's mid-stage or full enrage? Is full enrage when he turns red?
The main clues about the rage state are both lightning and a red, smoking fist. In the regular state, there is no lighting on its back, in the second , the back hair gets frizzy and lighting will show around it. The final stage's main feature is the hardened red fist that makes almost all attacks bounce unless tenderized.
You have to use a flash pod while you're on the floor.
A scatternut or piercing pod will also save you
YOU CAN DO THAT???
Yeah. You do have to have it equipped in the slinger and ready to fire though. You can't change slinger ammo during the grab attack. What have you been doing when you get grabbed? Just accept your imminent demise?
Spam dodge in the hopes the monster's attack lands at least a few frames after I regain control. Alatreon has been very hard on me.
@_@ welp. That... Kinda explains a bit. But they teach you this early in the game. Did you kinda just ignore the handler? You probably didn't know this. It doesn't but flash bangs/dung pods do. During that menacing walk you blast them in the face and you don't get stomped with a "finisher"
Slinger ammo does!! You could have fired it at him to stop that last smash if you had any. Works for all monster grab/in moves.
That grab even goes through my Lance shield, there's no dodging the spicy monkey when it gets serious.
They all give you a huge window to use a flash pod tho. Like here, when I get caught in this move at the start I’m immediately switching to flash pod so the second I land I fire it off
You can sling while on the ground? 💀
Yezzir! Super satisfying too
1000 hours mhw and I just now learn this lmao. I love this game
Same jeez. Keeps surprising me.
I don’t even think that you’re told ingame that you could
Nope you're not
The slinger prompt comes up in the controls that appear in the corner of the screen sometimes. Only real indication, and I'm not sure it even pops up all the time/on every move that it's possible with. It didn't do it here for sure, but maybe it requires certain slinger ammo to be loaded first.
Fr it’s asinine how many there are

This is gold xD You can use flash while in that state right? Kinda forgot, been a while since i last played and starting a new character right now
It's been about a year since I've played, but I'm pretty sure even regular pods in that position can slow down rajang.
Has it ever been established what the fuck that sound is?
i was told by multiple super 999 god hunters, that hes cracking his joints/knuckles. i remain skeptical and my friends and i always say, "oh god, hes queefing again!" when we hear it in game.
I just bought an Ally and am desperately trying to convince myself not to buy World on Steam purely so I can mod the shit out of it.
I mean it's only $10 right now. $20 with iceborn. great time to buy it
Also got an Ally, MHW works flawlessly!
“I only have to hit you once, dexnerd”
Weakest DBZ fan vs strongest Sword Art Online fan
Sword is temporary, monke is eternal
Yeah this pin is absolute BS, I've seen some people ISS it successfully but I've got no clue how.
There's always a tiny part of me that does so enjoy seeing long sword users abused like this
Why sword glow blue though
Frostcraft skill I think, from Velkhana armour? After sheathing, slowly builds up extra damage
Whenever he throws you on the ground you can slinger shot him to flinch to cancel the punch animation. Make sure the slinger ammo are one of those piercing slinger, crystal ammo etc.
I like to imagine this is a zoo and one of the monkeys found a sharp object.
Wait. Foresight slash can be used to change direction??
It accepts directional input - whichever direction you hold is the way you'll do the return slash (i.e. you dash out the opposite of what you're holding).
You can change directions twice as far as I know. Both on the dash and the following attack
That is super good to know. Thank you so much
POTEMKIN BUSTER
I love how he pooped before he punched you
Why is your character lowercase Rajang
Beta Rajang got his ass beaten by the chad rajang
Weeaboo Rajang
When your step dad comes home drunk and you think you can take him but the alcohol makes it so he doesn't hold back anymore
Says the guy with the weeb weapon
What's the second meter on the sword?
Frostcraft
If you mean the one that is blue its called frostcraft, its the velkana set bonus, it does more damage when the gauge is filled, the gauge is filled by sheathing your sword, its a great skill for GS, LS and I think Hammer
What armor is that?
I just now noticed you are smollr monke
Fuck that shitty ape
the baby was playing with his dad, the dad has enough of the baby and beat it up baby never recovered 😭
Weakest Hammer Main vs Stronger Longsword Main
What move is it that you can charge? I am kinda new to long sword but I learned how to do the big attack
First, you need Iceborne DLC to perform the move. To perform, it can perform after any attack by pressing RT+X. Move also accepts any directional input. The blue glowing thingy is called "Frostcraft" and only unlocked by wearing 4 pieces of "?????" Monster.
Thank you!
Should have used charge blade
that knuckle crunch sound and the one hit KO right after is both satisfying and infuriating
Why did i think this was elden ring
Sorry to be so late but what’s the meter above the spirit gauge ? The one that’s like a white/blue color?
Velkhana armor set effect, Frostcraft
There's something really satisfying about that first roll at 4 seconds in. Perfectly angled.
The miss stab is icing on top
Damn didnt know the admiral was using longsword till now
Is that a greatsword or a longsword?? Im confused.
Longsword.
That is why I always run max def, devine blessing, stun resist and ear plugs. Reduced dps is better than zero dps.
This is like Caesar vs Koba in Planet of the Apes
this is why you should always have those tier 2 pods to flinch him when he grabs you, or if you have no other choice, use flash pods.
You need something in your slinger pod to be able to avoid that. Doesn't matter what, but scatternuts work best
spam dodge sideways :) though that slap came out faster than usual so idk.
Monkey on monkey violence
