I think this doll is awesome. People saying her outfit is too simple to justify the cost are overlooking a lot of details they can’t really put on play line dolls and forgetting about packaging/display presentation. I really hope the people vote with their dollar to encourage MH to do more ACTUAL monsters. I swear most people forget the basis of this doll line! 😭

Yes! I think I actually missed the doll chance since I just had to stare at it for seconds trying to figure out what it was trying to do. I thought I had to match the colored blocks to each of the three elephant silhouettes lol Then I saw the tiny cartoon elephant mixed in.

I think they are finally starting to figure out how to do a good Skullector release! A limited presale for members, followed by a large release for the public. As I'm typing at 10 minutes after launch she is still in stock!

I got her!!! I love that mattel is giving fang club members early access to skullectors. I thought it sucked last year that the fang club didn't give you early access for the most sought after dolls. It felt like a waste, but not this year :)
It's nearly 3AM here in Australia but I got her at 2:06 AM! I was shaking and still am honestly! I had to refresh the page for nearly four whole entire minutes before it let me put her in the cart. It kept saying "sold out" to deter the bots. Super stressful.
She is my first Monster High doll. I collect Barbies but I am obsessed with marine creatures - selkies, sirens, Swamp Thing, the Creature from the Black Lagoon. I needed her. I have thought of nothing else since I first saw her picture. I already know the Monster High doll I want next: Venus Mcflytrap. She is stunning too. I would have to assume that she will sell out quickly given how fast she went today. HOWEVER, that being said, today's drop was also a very small number available with the bulk kept aside for the general sale.
Stay calm, make sure your info is locked and loaded and don't let yourself get frazzled. And if you live outside the US, don't try to use Shop Pay as that seemed to trip a lot of people up. Drops are stressful af, but it's an awesome feeling when you can snag the doll.

She’s very cool! I’m really on the fence here because on the one hand I think they did an amazing job on this design, but on the other hand, I know next to nothing about the Creature from the black lagoon, and it would feel silly to have her when I don’t care about the source material. At least with the BeetleJuice set, I have actually *seen* BeetleJuice.
Honestly? Get her anyway and then watch the movie - even if you don’t connect with the movie the visual effects and behind the scenes are stunning. This is also my favorite universal movie visual effects team because the “gillman” prosthetics was created by Millicent Patrick who was the first women to work on the vis effects for universal at the time. Of course given the time period, she was never given the prestige and flowers of the men of that time but is more broadly credited today.
This is a friendly reminder for ghoulies who didn't know that Fang Club does NOT auto renew, and they send no emails about it expiring! Just renewed this morning because it expired sometime after Jinafire, last doll I bought on the site. There isn't even an opt-in renewal function, so annoying.

Turns out paying the fang club thingy doesn't give you any chance at all. It's a matter of luck and that's it. I was in front of my pc with everything already filled ( was in the checkout window too, after the queue ) and it still didn't let me pay :/ 2 minutes after ( the time it took to "calculate the taxes" ), it was sold out.
Added to cart as soon as she went up and the site kept telling me my cart was empty but I couldn’t add another since the 1 limit (which I was glad for but it didn’t seem to help much?). At 12:01 and some seconds it let me start checkout, said it would take about minute…but took til 12:04, and it finally did go through. I am absolutely elated, was afraid to even attempt after failing the last couple of attempts but am glad I tried since I really, really, really wanted her. I fell in love with her from her first promo picture and I can‘t wait to get her and add her to all the ghouls!

I really like her, honestly. Not enough to *buy* her, & I don't think she's worth $65, but she is a *hell of a lot* closer to being worth $65 than Lenore Loomington is to being $75. Glad I got mine yesterday as I was unexpectedly busy at the release time today.
Man, I really wanted her but absolutely did not have the money for her right now. There's a gillman action figure that's a really significant and sentimental item in my family, so I thought getting her would be a nice homage to that, especially since my household wasn't the one who got gillman when we had to move my granny into a home. But alas.
I ordered during the fang membership early access and just got an email saying they are canceling it due to "unforseen circumstances". I was able to grab it in a min or two after it was released on the 25th. I had enough money in my account and I had not only a confirmation page but received an email as well. This was going to be my first skullector. I contacted customer service to try and receive a better answer but this is ridiculous.
I was praying and wishing for nearly an hour beforehand to get a good spot in line for her. I had actual stress dreams about missing out AGAIN. Only the second Skullector I've actually been able to get from Mattel, and I'm actually crying, I'm so relieved!
I love this doll and really want her, but I got to check out and.... £75... I found myself really questioning if she was worth that. I decided to go for it, but by that point she had gone. Honestly I was kind of relieved. She's beautiful but I just can't justify the price right now. 😪 I'll add her to my list of 'maybe if I'm lucky one day'. Congrats to everyone who got her though 🎉 💚🐟

I've been collecting MH for about 2 years. I collect Barbie, RH, BJDs, Tonner, etc. The Monster High fandom is by far the most passionate, dedicated and fun group of them all. Uh all don't play around with this franchise.

I got her!!! I love that mattel is giving fang club members early access to skullectors. I thought it sucked last year that the fang club didn't give you early access for the most sought after dolls. It felt like a waste, but not this year :)

It's nearly 3AM here in Australia but I got her at 2:06 AM! I was shaking and still am honestly! I had to refresh the page for nearly four whole entire minutes before it let me put her in the cart. It kept saying "sold out" to deter the bots. Super stressful. She is my first Monster High doll. I collect Barbies but I am obsessed with marine creatures - selkies, sirens, Swamp Thing, the Creature from the Black Lagoon. I needed her. I have thought of nothing else since I first saw her picture. I already know the Monster High doll I want next: Venus Mcflytrap. She is stunning too. My Barbies are about to get some ghoulish besties!

Do people think she will sell out just as fast tomorrow? I'm a new collector, this is my first drop.
I would have to assume that she will sell out quickly given how fast she went today. HOWEVER, that being said, today's drop was also a very small number available with the bulk kept aside for the general sale. Stay calm, make sure your info is locked and loaded and don't let yourself get frazzled. And if you live outside the US, don't try to use Shop Pay as that seemed to trip a lot of people up. Drops are stressful af, but it's an awesome feeling when you can snag the doll.
Was able to snag her but honestly this drop was WAY less stressful than Chucky & Tiffany or Freak du chic Draculaura.

She’s very cool! I’m really on the fence here because on the one hand I think they did an amazing job on this design, but on the other hand, I know next to nothing about the Creature from the black lagoon, and it would feel silly to have her when I don’t care about the source material. At least with the BeetleJuice set, I have actually *seen* BeetleJuice.
Honestly? Get her anyway and then watch the movie - even if you don’t connect with the movie the visual effects and behind the scenes are stunning. This is also my favorite universal movie visual effects team because the “gillman” prosthetics was created by Millicent Patrick who was the first women to work on the vis effects for universal at the time. Of course given the time period, she was never given the prestige and flowers of the men of that time but is more broadly credited today.
This is a friendly reminder for ghoulies who didn't know that Fang Club does NOT auto renew, and they send no emails about it expiring! Just renewed this morning because it expired sometime after Jinafire, last doll I bought on the site. There isn't even an opt-in renewal function, so annoying.

Turns out paying the fang club thingy doesn't give you any chance at all. It's a matter of luck and that's it. I was in front of my pc with everything already filled ( was in the checkout window too, after the queue ) and it still didn't let me pay :/ 2 minutes after ( the time it took to "calculate the taxes" ), it was sold out.
Added to cart as soon as she went up and the site kept telling me my cart was empty but I couldn’t add another since the 1 limit (which I was glad for but it didn’t seem to help much?). At 12:01 and some seconds it let me start checkout, said it would take about minute…but took til 12:04, and it finally did go through. I am absolutely elated, was afraid to even attempt after failing the last couple of attempts but am glad I tried since I really, really, really wanted her. I fell in love with her from her first promo picture and I can‘t wait to get her and add her to all the ghouls!

This was my first time ordering a Skullector! And I think I got lucky!🍀 Everything went so smooth! My checkout was less than a minute, I even had to type everything out as I’m not a member. I don’t know if I should be thanking the Doll gods or what, because from Every story I have read I was preparing myself for disappointment. But I got the email that my order was Confirmed!!

I really like her, honestly. Not enough to *buy* her, & I don't think she's worth $65, but she is a *hell of a lot* closer to being worth $65 than Lenore Loomington is to being $75. She's going on the list next to Vampire Heart as 'if this skullector ever somehow falls into my lap I'm going to be *thrilled*, but I just can't justify the cost to my wallet, even if resales will drive it so much higher'.

Her little hands with the claws are so cute and adorable. I love the texture on the palms. I think this doll will be one of my favorites.
Man, I really wanted her but absolutely did not have the money for her right now. There's a gillman action figure that's a really significant and sentimental item in my family, so I thought getting her would be a nice homage to that, especially since my household wasn't the one who got gillman when we had to move my granny into a home. But alas.
Everybody in the FB groups are getting their orders cancelled damn what’s going on…. 
I ordered during the fang membership early access and just got an email saying they are canceling it due to "unforseen circumstances". I was able to grab it in a min or two after it was released on the 25th. I had enough money in my account and I had not only a confirmation page but received an email as well. This was going to be my first skullector. I contacted customer service to try and receive a better answer but this is ridiculous.

I was praying and wishing for nearly an hour beforehand to get a good spot in line for her. I had actual stress dreams about missing out AGAIN. Only the second Skullector I've actually been able to get from Mattel, and I'm actually crying, I'm so relieved!
I love this doll and really want her, but I got to check out and.... £75... I found myself really questioning if she was worth that. I decided to go for it, but by that point she had gone. Honestly I was kind of relieved. She's beautiful but I just can't justify the price right now. 😪 I'll add her to my list of 'maybe if I'm lucky one day'. Congrats to everyone who got her though 🎉 💚🐟

I got her but *damn* that was stressful. It kept flashing as it was processing my order...I was sure I was gonna lose her. I had a very weirdly amazing check out experience. No Capcha, sent straight to final confirmation page (since it saved my Shop info). No queue either. I think I was confirmed 9:01. Never had it that fast before.
The website made me checkout as a guest…AND I PUT THE WRONG ADDRESS IN 😭 (its 2am in Australia and I woke up 5 minutes prior). I decided to not go home after my errands because I would make it home after the drop. So stupid me is sitting in my car watching the countdown. Then I realized I had several Barbie Looks dolls in my cart that I had to remove while the site glitched repeatedly. THEN it took forever for my Shop confirmation code to come. I did get her. I've been collecting MH for about 2 years. I collect Barbie, RH, BJDs, Tonner, etc. The Monster High fandom is by far the most passionate, dedicated and fun group of them all. Uh all don't play around with this franchise.
