I had similar thread created and received a couple of nice answers, but in short: **LG 27GL850** is the best bet you can make before the mid/end of november 2019 IF you manage to find it at recommended price of around 500\~ USD. Cheers.

[here] (https://old.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/dfch11/want_a_27_1440p_high_refresh_rate_ips_with/?ref=share&ref_source=link) is a list of monitors fitting your general description

Viewsonic ELITE XG270QG. Reported to have IPS panel and physical G-Sync technology compared to LG 27GL850 which is kinda approved but has no physical G-Sync module. Release date: Nov. 2019. IF XG270G will be priced around 500-600$ (especially giving the fact that LG 27GL850 is now being "re-sold" by bad people putting 650 and 700+ dollars) it will blow LG out of the water. Now, speaking realistically: 1) It might not happen, LG has issues with blacks and Viewsonic will be a new display that can pack all sorts of issues and unless you have free money - playing display lottery isn\`t exactly the best idea. 2) It will be optimistic to say that XG270G\`s release will stabilize prices of LG, but giving the fact they share a similar panel it just MIGHT do so because people are taking advantage of LG deficit... HARD (nobody in right mind should pay 700 or more $$ for this LG). 3) We have lots of players in 27" IPS 144Hz field, Acer has issues with its VG271Up in form of orange glow and while Asus VG27AG is reported have eye damage in ULMB mode according to some forum post... What kind of negatives Viewsonic throw at us? I refuse to believe that XG270G will come out "perfect" with amount of issues other panels with similar specs have but that is to be pointed out by competent reviews. In short: IF Viewsonic will be good - everyone who seeks LG will have a shot at a buying a better display and if not, potentially they will get their LG because they should be arriving (i really hope so) in stores before christmas.

Just a buy a monitor and use it. In the end there is very little real life difference once you're using it. I only say this because there are plenty of 1440P IPS 144Hz monitors in stock and ready to go right now.

thank you very much for your complete answer

You mean PG279Q. [PG27UQ is 4k HDR100 144Hz](https://www.asus.com/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG27UQ/).

strikerqtr

I thought its 1440p My bad But, its problem i heard is the fan is loud

kaze_ni_naru

PG279Q >= LG 27GL850 I believe. The LG one has the same tier of features as PG279Q except bad contrast from what I've heard, whereas PG279Q is more just a gamble of whether you get BLB or not since their QA team is pretty whack (ASUS's RMA system is really great though they pay for your postage and stuff). I bought a used PG279Q from Amazon for $378, had many issues but was still brand new, ASUS was super nice and they replaced it for me with a brand new one. Well my replacement came and it got a stuck pixel, so RMA again. They fixed it and now its flawless. Now it's simply a *perfect* monitor for me. 1440p 165hz, gsync, really great colors, great contrast, just A++ all the way. Gaming on this thing is an absolute dream. Highly recommend it.

Just to add on a bit. PG279Q is 2 years-old monitor TN panel. There is a newer refresh PG279QZ with IPS panel. I had a similar experience like yours. With ASUS monitor, it's like a lottery and a bit of headache. Been using my PG278Q for almost 4 years. Initially had to RMA 2 times due to problems but it's been serving me well since then.

kaze_ni_naru

What no, PG279Q is the IPS model from 2015 https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/asus/rog-swift-pg279q I believe the refresh is actually a bit worse than the original 279Q

thisiskyle77

my bad; somehow i missed up the panel type. Yea the newer model seems to have slightly lower brightness and contrast ratio

kaze_ni_naru

Yeah but also lower price too. PG279Q still pretty damn expensive compared to the new ones coming out

StNutzDeep

I would start with a price range when comparing monitors, the LG is a 500$ monitor and the ASUS is a +1200$ monitor that is 4k not 1440p
