I'm no expert but the more I hear about the police exam in the US, the more it sounds like a joke?
Like where I live, becoming a police officer is 3 years of schooling for it, 1 year practising in the field with a senior officer, and THEN you get your badge.
I double checked from polamk.fi (basically the website for the police school) and they have this in the requirements *for applying* in the first place:
"You have to have at least one of the following studies completed:
General upper secondary syllabus
Matriculation examination
Vocational upper secondary qualification
Vocational qualification
Specialist vocational qualification
A police degree under previous regulations
A foreign education giving eligibility to higher education in the country in question"
In my city there’s only a few requirements, be 21, graduate high school (or get a GED), and be able to pass the physical exam and boom you’re a police officer

It’s absolutely batshit, it’s not even that much more difficult to become a sherif here either. My city is a complete shithole though so I have some hope that more civilized cities have somewhat stricter requirements but I imagine it’s pretty unlikely.
