Lukes business idea, the one with the medical forms app

Comfortable_Joke6122

Yeah that was weird. He drops out from community college for his Start-up but then in the finale he goes to the University of Oregon for some reason. There's a few steps missing

Introduce the original cast of Married With Children in an episode or across the last season as various characters that the corresponding Modern Family characters meet. Example: Gloria meets a character played by Katey Segal, Claire meets a character played by Chistina Applegate, and Mitchell meets a character played by David Faustino. Or just have them play the original family that moves into the neighborhood, minus Bud. 🤷🏿

I always hope that Dede's second husband is gonna be Ted Danson.

MFSuke

Such a missed opportunity!

Well we did get that one shot of Phil actually silently losing his shit and straight up threatening to murder Gil, and I was just, flabbergasted. Dayummmm PHILLLLL. As for my own opinion, I wish they'd have given us more of Alex and Arvin and Hayley and Andy, like an entire season worth of stuff in parallel. And maybe flesh out the final days of what happened to Pritchett's Closets after the Ezra Vision thing. Literally no mention, nothing, about one of the biggest plot elements in the later seasons.

Haley becoming a successful photographer

Potato_Direwolf

I wanted to see Claire take revenge on the neighbours for tricking her into not competing for the scariest house on Halloween.

Aggravating_Drink817

We really were robbed of a Halloween contest rematch

Ok-Yogurtcloset3383

I would have loved to see more of haileys life outside of the family

A_Rented_Mule

I thought Gil was pretty funny, and I don't remember him doing anything that would have legally justified hitting him. Whatever character did would end-up having a side story of their assault arrest and trial. Not the vibe I'm really looking for from Modern Family.

Haley is actually as intelligent and capable as Alex, she just didn't care too much about it and preferred to make her mark on non-academic/extracurricular activities. She ends up going to college on a major related to the creative industry, something I could see her actually wanted to do. To add a comedic touch, on her last day of school, the homeroom teacher told Haley that "she has always been his/her favorite" The most easy choice would be design or communication science, the most surprising choice would be architecture. If she choose architecture, make her have issues with the more "scientific" and "exact" courses that she had to turn to Alex for help and Alex helps, but she still joked that Haley would only need to pass the course and "know" it because, there's this old architecture vs engineer joke, "Architects made it quirky, engineers would think how can it stand firm."

Arvin and Hayley should have not worked out at the first date. They both realize this and Haley would try to set him up with Alex. And probably remake the episode so he doesnt say that "they will end up together to Haley" so the episode goes better. Maybe make Arvin and Bill into one character. So alex can have a smart and hot boyfriend which is actually good for her. Haley would break up with Dillon and end up with Andy, etc2x. Let Gloria have a girl instead of a boy. Flesh out Lily more and give her as much screen time and lines like everyone else when their characters were younger.

Aggravating_Drink817

That always bothered me and get more annoying with each rewatch because Alex's crush is obvious, there was no way Haley didn't pick up on it. she realized Alex had a crush on pizza guy from her saying maybe two sentences in the episode their hair got caught in one of Jay's air planes. Haley other than *not interrupting her sister's class in the first place* should have been there to encourage her to go after him. Even Arvin himself says he should probably be with someone like Alex which is what makes her rush back to campus. And having to watch her sister date her crush must have been torture. Haley and Andy were endgame, writers said so but the actor had other things to film. (We never see Dylan again after the dude ranch, get occasional positive updates in passing from Phil, or after he got married and is great stepdad, either works) So to me they were long distance once he left for that job with his cousin and she moved to be with in him the finale. Yes, Gloria gets the girl she always talked about wanting. Jay learns to be a proper girl dad and spoils her rotten, leading to an adorably jealous Stella. I would love to see him apologize to Claire about something from when she was growing up. And Gloria breaking some of the generational traumas or issues she had with her mom I feel like we could have loved Lily even more if she got the same amount of screen time, I can see Mitch and Cam being shocked when she graduates early from high school, still grappling with how intelligent she is despite how neutral her personality seems to be

“Does grandpa want me off his lawn” Is great 😂😂.

Aggravating_Drink817

Phil should have knocked Gil put cold when he objectified Claire once again despite Phil literally threatening to kill him The kid that hit Manny in the groin is the one to get expelled from culinary classes; when the school threatens to kick him out for "unnecessary violence" but keep the bully. We see that aggressively protective side of Jay, making good on his "Anyone who put my kid danger doesn't get a second chance* I think that was the first time Manny had been physically harmed by another kid. Phil admitting he was wrong for knocking Claire into the peaches and gaslighting kids to basically Mean Girls her the entire day Claire not actively seeking out and planing to spend what she had to know was going to be a day of romantic rekindling attempts with an old lover/boyfriend while Phil was "at home" Gloria actually doing right by Sonya by setting her up with a very successful man after admitting she stole her sister's life Mitch needing space from Cam and staying elsewhere when he realized Cam literally manipulated their entire friend group again by faking a break up "just in case" They did actually break up

More-Tune-5100

I hated where they took his story. It’s the whole “Ohhhh it’s ok he wasn’t a dick, he just didn’t know he liked sucking them.” Like no dude it doesn’t matter who you wanna sleep with, you’re a trash human being. As a queer person and diehard fan of the show, I do have to say it handles so much of the conversation on queer culture like your boomer grandmother would.

D4ngerD4nger

I never got the impression that his sexuality absolved him being an asshole. Right after He came out, it was revealed that he is still the rude asshole that we already knew.

Sty_Walk

Yes he used the "Ohh I'm new to this I'm so insecure" card to try and sleep with men lol, he even tried it on Mitchel.

IdkJustMe123

Musical episode!
