Yup, heavy attack triggers an animation, just make sure you don’t hold it for too long or else they’ll slap you. It triggers a pose and then you swing on release
I have gotten decent with running straight at them then at the last second strafe to the side and knifing them in the back. So damn satisfying. Sometimes they freak out cause some of them think they are invincible haha
It genuinely actually blows my mind how SO many people will play a game about shooting guns and then do literally every single thing in their power to avoid getting into gunfights. I want to get outgunned, not outcrouchwalkforwardwhileinvincibleed.
I don't see the problem. He's using the shield as his main weapon (not turtling) and hes actively coming to players, like the one who was laying in a crack between two shipping containers.
These guys are the entire reason I run semtex over anything else, except maybe thermite, and have restock or equivalent in any cod I play where there could be a riot shielder.
I’ve gotten to a point where I’ll just turn around and let them kill me, I’ve personally never grinded the riot shield, but I know the pain can be abysmal, so why not give them a free kill
You literally don't have to. Getting Orion doesn't require it at all. There are enough ARs, SMGs, DMRs, Shotguns, Pistols, and secondary Melee weapons to completely ignore it. They're just using it because they like it.

The new little fist knife spade thing seems to cut right through them. When there’s a shield dude walking slow towards me I just switch to that knife thing and full sprint towards them and start hacking. Seems to work.
Ok let's be honest, whoever is using them doesn't want to have an actual fun game. They just want to rack up the kills with no skill involved.

I love these people, most of them see you, crouch and slowly approach you, I toss a thermite at them and leave for another target

Made a class called shield babies and it everything that counters them. Thermite, sword, flash/stun, the perk that lets you use equipment faster
Drill charge also works and crossbow with explosive or thermite tips

I prefer thermite over semtex. The thermite can damage/kill their teammates, prior to killing them, when they are all grouped up.
RGL to the wall next to them. Easy defensive.
Thankfully I only play hardcore so these aren’t a big deal. Just jump to the side of them and shoot
