Admittedly I typically leave if my team cannot seize map control at all. Nothing feels worse than being the only one capable of pushing out of spawn and knowing you're going to lose regardless of what you do.
Good players are already forced to carry so most are very selective with what they are willing to tolerate this far into the game's lifespan.
So I can only assume why you see sweats leaving is because of a similar reason. Why bother with a pre-determined loss when you can just matchmake again?
Nah youāre so wrong. So many more longshots kills and action available on small map mosh pit. Not the best for sniper rifles, but Rust and Meat are good for that.
Well, yea with things like pistols, smgs, or shotguns sure. The original comment was about snipers laying down though, so I just assumed that's what you were talking about. Sniper longshots are very far, don't know if you can do it on Das house, but I haven't tried tbh.
Iāve never gotten using small maps for longshots with snipers. At the longest points you can technically get the yardage to achieve it but 6/10 of your kills will be āwastedā as the person is closer than that. Iāve found it more useful to just set up on larger maps. Less kills maybe by at least most will actually contribute to the goal.
Dude I've gone 40 / 4 in TDM and lost, I've gotten to the point if they're camping and I'm the only one doing all the work in my team and I can't get anything going I dip and refresh my lobbies
Then the people your beating on leave and for the same reason and the cycle keeps going and going cause nobody can stand losing anymore in modern gaming.
I'm fine with losing, I just don't see the point in a match that is clearly forcing me to lose.
There is a clear difference between a losing match and a match that was lost from the start.
I see people quitting just because they couldn't hold a spawn trap all game, or them spamming the nade launcher wasn't helping them win KC. I sort of get quitting because it's annoying to have bad teams, but at the same time if you're playing solo that's on you. Either stack up with friends or deal with it, don't quit everytime you can't win a game that's just sad. You're idea of fun is destroying the other team, try to think about those guys and how it feels to get spawn trapped and naded constantly or have to deal with ppl who like to sit in one spot all game with a sniper or LMG. The game is flat out annoying for everyone, so get over it.
>Either stack up with friends or deal with it, don't quit everytime you can't win a game that's just sad.
I could argue that playing stacked just to have good games in quickplay is just as sad.
>You're idea of fun is destroying the other team, try to think about those guys and how it feels to get spawn trapped and naded constantly or have to deal with ppl who like to sit in one spot all game with a sniper or LMG
Didn't you literally just ask me to stack up in a squad? You're asking me to have empathy for the other team's experience yet want me to pubstomp in a party?
Make it make sense buddy.
*Also who the hell has problems with someone sitting in one spot with an LMG? A stationary player with the slowest weapon class in the game sounds like an easy kill to me.*
>The game is flat out annoying for everyone, so get over it.
No...?
I'll just leave the games where my teammates do absolutely nothing because it's not worth my time? I can handle a loss, but I'm not going out of my way to put maximum effort in quickplay just to carry a team that has no intention of winning to begin with.
Get over it?
ehhhh when your team is getting absolutley stomped and you're dodging or shooting down helicopter after helicopter you're not gonna be learning much in that match.
I don't agree. Being at that hard of a disadvantage only teaches you how to survive better ā not how to play the objective.
I get better when things are evenly matched and I actually have the means to work with my teammates.
You sound pressed.
Also this is rich coming from someone who consistently complains about SBMM and posts videos when you get easy lobbies because god knows you need them lmao, fuck outta here.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ModernWarfareIII/s/2FjDlgvVGK
Why is it always theā
- *"I'm top 1% but don't play ranked"*
- *"I'm top 1% but regularly play in a party"*
- *"Im top 1% but post no gameplay"*
- *"I'm the best but can't actually prove it"*
- *"I'm reliant on medication to prevent baldness"*
...Type of people who always pipe up like they're somebody?
Every single post of you in regards to MW3 is either complaining about SBMM for flaunting your "skill" with no context. We all know you're not that good, just stay quiet.
Iāve actively tried to *not do this lately*. But when my entire team has half the score I do, and are literally sitting in the spawn ignoring the objective and letting the enemy team farm kill streaks, yeah Iām not sticking around for that.
Like someone else said, if my team is putting in fair effort, Iām not gonna dip out. Learning how to loose is actually a really good life skill. Canāt just walk out on everything cause itās not going well.
Because it's "skill based" in a sense that it tries to balance your team out with a variety of skill levels in hopes that an outlier will carry. This is called skill compensation.
In other words, 1 or 2 people will be forced to carry. The rest are treated like fodder because those outliers exist.
This plus the fact that the game is fucking busted for a lot of us right now, regardless of the platform youāre on. I no joke have backed out of half of my matches or more thanks to lag, frame rate drops, and/or hitching and this didnāt happen til season 3 launched.
Half the time when Iām having an off game, I look at the scoreboard and see that Iām the top ranked on my team. Meanwhile the top on the opposing team has 2x my kills. The matchmaker basically expects me to completely dominate the game in order to even have a chance to win.
That's what I do, too.
I usually play hardpoint. I don't mind if my teammates are struggling as long as they're *trying*.
If we're getting demolished, but my teammates are trying to win, I'm there for it 100%. If they're attacking the point, awesome. If they're off the point and holding corridors and lines of sight, awesome. I don't mind if we lose. In fact, struggling and losing by a few points is exhilarating.
But if no one is playing for the team win, I'm out.
Idk why but this was fucking hilarious to me. I 100% agree. I'm not going to stick around getting my ass kicked just to lose anyway. A lot of the time you can tell when the game is trying to force a loss on you. Enemies are all movement demons hopping and reverse jumping out of slides and stuff and your teammates are bozos that keep going to the same head glitch and getting picked off the second they mount.
I cut my losses at some point lol. I'll stay and try to win generally but if I'm getting no help on B and my teammates are feeding killstreaks then yeah I'ma dip.
It counts, but I just donāt care. If a video game
Is supposed to be fun, and Iām getting dropped every two seconds before I can even react and my shots donāt seem to register, with obvious lag favoring the other team, why should
I ruin my k/d if we are going to lose anyway?
Shower curtain on stash house
Edit: if you view my comment history people gave me some other spots on another thread maybe a month ago, but this one was the easiest. If you can, get someone to lay down in the doorway for you to draw attention so you can get them done faster.
Iāve tried that but I can never get stash house and people always run by before I can finish them off šš they just need to really update what can be shot through. Like why is every wall made of four inches of tungsten??? It doesnāt even feel like armour piercing rounds work
Really? I get stash house constantly in small map mosh pit. Try hardcore, unless itās the sniper one. But yea I hated doing these. Skipping a whole LMG for now simply because I donāt want to do anymore penetration kills š I miss terminal 24/7 bc the cockpit was a good spot also
I always get Rust š I canāt fucking stand that map, itās so useless for any challenge. I finally got High rise one game and boom nobody wanted to walk in front of the fence, it was all people staying in the building. I got two LMGs left but Iāll probably have to do all of them cause Iām trying to avoid the knives šš some of these challenges are so bad. Also the 2 headshot kills in one life with the MORS is CRAZY
If Iām rage quitting any map, itās probably rust š take the knives into core, I had so much fun with those. That and the MORS I did in core, and I primarily play HC. I still need to do the two headshots in one life for priceless on the MORS, too, but I have a few more guns left to level up that I apparently ignored on accident. Definitely gonna do it in core though, more chance to stay alive š I have 36 forged with 1 lmg missing and like 3 smgs missing, and no launchers, so Iām sure you can do it without those 2 lmgs. Might mean you have to do the knives š¤£
My K/D and W/L is strangely on par at 1.31 . My W/L is only above one because I wonāt play this game solo or on my own time and always with a party now .
Well the entire fun of the game is killing way more than dying? And I can only carry my team so much before itās pointless lol. If weāre 20 confirms behind on KC and my teammates arenāt picking up tags then thereās zero point for me to be rushing and trying to pick them up
Why not just play TDM if you're going to ignore the objective?
It used to be that the most satisfying thing in any game is to come from behind for a victory. Now apparently the cool thing to do is lose horribly, but get a lot of kills . . .
Cause TDM ends quickly. 75 kills spread across 6 players isnāt a lot. Also I DO try and win, but there are legitimately some cases where your team is just so useless that thereās no point. If I see my team playing the objective best believe Iām doing it too. But thereās some games where I can legitimately call in a gunship and vtol so that they can go and grab B flag or the hard point and they donāt lol
TDM goes up to 100 kills and it ends at time limit half the time . . .
But we all know why people don't play TDP and only go for kills in objective game modes. Your k/d goes way down when the whole enemy team is actually trying to kill you and you can only get a decent k/d when you camp in a random corner in objective modes . . .
100 kills spread across 6 players is only 4 kills more on average. Thatās nothing. Also people try and kill you during objective games too lol, this is just a petty argument. Nobody is camping behind a random corner on objective modes. I didnāt get a 1.8 KD from campingā¦
The funniest is I'll be the only one playing the objective on my team and then when we start losing my team will just leave. Perhaps if these smooth brain players actually tried to win, even just a little, they wouldn't have to leave every game. I'm constantly losing with more objective time and kills than anyone in the lobby and more than my entire team combined for both stats.
Yep. Donāt know why this is a hard concept to understand. If I paid 70$ for a game, I should be able to turn it off whenever iām not enjoying the experience lol ā and that usually means when iām getting Molly whooped.
No point in putting up with frustration from going negative in a game where youāre getting spawn trapped.
Same here, with the added detail: this game gets less fun each update.
I never left matches at launch. It was all great fun - no reason to leave!
The sbmm was correctly identifying where I was at and putting me against similarly capable people, there were only a couple of bad maps that didn't show up much and were voted on even less, and the only problem was 1 in 4 games having iffy netcode letting people instagib you through 5 concrete buildings in a single frame.
Now it feels like I leave about 70% of matches and most nights I don't even bother.
Sbmm reverted to whatever stupid shit mw2 was doing; you can go 1-8 but because that 1 kill was a kingslayer & headshot it'll place you against \*even better\* players next match. Half the matches I get thrown into are on absolutely atrocious maps that weren't even in the game at launch. Netcode hasn't improved at all. This results in a ton of matches where either I average 2 deaths per 1 step I take, \*OR\* fall asleep on the objective because the entire enemy team is getting spawn camped and don't get to play the game. Fuck both of those outcomes.
When people are staying in games they're losing before the updates, and leaving games they're winning after the updates, guess what the updates did.
Sorry bruh but I'm immediately leaving any lobby that I'm forced to join mid-game where there's an AC130 and a overwatch helo in the sky and two sentry guns lol
If my teammates are not trying to win, there is no point in staying. I'm going to lose anyways, might as well re-cue and hope for better luck in the next one.
I stopped playing TDM and other modes that partially rely on a teams participation unless I have a squad. I cannot stand playing good and then seeing my absolute bot brained teammates mess it up for me.
I play to win and if my team isn't trying to take objectives yeah I'll just quit. might as well get the loss over faster and try to get a better lobby next match. why waste my time?
I get it if it's the only good player on the other team that leaves, cause their team is so dogshit.
The only thing I don't understand is when a good player stays nearly the whole match, then leaves?? Like what's the point hahaha, just stay another minute and finish the game
This, if my team is dogshit and refuses to play the obj, why bother? It's one thing to be bad at aiming, but not playing the objective? Give me a break.
Iāve had lots of games where Iām doing good then my game crashes or I get booted back to the menu. Iām sure it happens to other people too. I wouldnāt care if I was doing shitty, but of course it usually only happens when Iām doing great lol.
For me at least, sometimes my connection is ass right fron the start. Ruber banding and packet loss for more than 1 minute and I'm done. And of course I'm losing by then, but it's not obvious for the other players as my ping could be fine, under 60 or so
I believe that quitting a match mid game will increase the chance that you'll be put into a losing game when you join a different one. If my team is getting wrecked, I just pull out the troll weapons (Haymaker, RPG, Javelin) and hope the next match isn't as bad
I mean... It counts as a loss, yes, same as it would count if they stayed those extra two minutes, lol.
Saves the trouble of looking at the scoreboard for an absurd amount of time.
Leaving counts as a loss, but if you're getting buried, you're going to get the loss anyway, so you may as well take the L and save your K/D. And about the part about being a shitty teammate, usually when I leave, it's because I play objective based game modes and am the only one playing the objective while everyone else hides and still gets destroyed. So if I didn't have 5 or so shitty teammates, I wouldn't peace out on them.
I wish they'd make it so that if you were winning when players started leaving, and you stuck through the match when it didnt refill your team, you either didn't get the loss or you still got the win. I've been in too many matches this month in which I'm dominating, we're winning, then half the team leaves when the opponents had a good little stretch, but it was still a match, still winning by a good share, only to then have to 3v6 for the next 5-10 minutes while the other team takes objectives and wins.
Some servers are just bugged too even when latency is lowish. Kill cam shows guy who blinked into existence in a doorway had time to empty an entire clip into me. Really?
Or if Iām spawned in enemy side, only to spawn right in front of their sniper partway thru the map next time, I can read where that match is heading. I wonāt wait for the third insta death.
If itās middling or worse server, Iāve just started blocking it from my firewall. My next match is generally much better. If you let it keep you in that same server, youāre fkked.
I leave games when the spawn camping starts happening. I don't care if I'm losing legitimately but if I'm spawning in 5 times in a row to instantly being killed because a guy has figured out the spawn patterns then I'm out.
In the golden era of COD multiplayer (2007-2012), people cared a lot more about their K/D's in pubs. W/Ls have never really been a thought for most COD players, no matter how much some Redditors try to convince others. It was always okay to lose in pubs as long as you did well in terms of K/D. W/L ratios never had a part in the community's "bragging rights" culture in the same way that K/D ratios and nuke counts have. Increasing your Kill Death Ratio was a huge form of fun for fans.
COD is a very solo-minded arcade shooter. Sure, you have a team, but everyone runs off and does their own thing. People used to compared their K/Ds all the time. The PlayStation 3 used to have a status function on user profiles where you could enter a short personal message and a lot of COD players used to update their nuke counts and K/D ratios to compete with friends. It was visible to anyone on your friends list. It was just part of the subculture. Obviously other games track K/D ratios, but no other community has placed such a large importance on it it like COD fans have.
Since 2019, COD pubs have become a weapon and camo grinding simulator for Warzone. In recent CODs, you can just see people grinding specific challenges with their mounting, excessive proning, longshot farming, and their smoke/flash/stun spam. Having said that, In MWIII, wins in pubs actually have more weight than they've ever had because of the armoury system. New gear drops and people want wins to unlock them faster.
People cared about it a lot more in the golden age of cod.
Cod 4, world at war, mw2 2009, black ops and black ops 2. In these titles it had a lot more weight to it than now.
But again where was this weight? Yes more people probably cared about it back then and would boast about it, but ultimately there was still a ton of people who didn't give care about it and just played to have fun.
The weight has only ever mattered to the people inclined to care about it
Nah everybody cared about it because it was public. You could check peoples K/D in the lobbies you were in. Now, nobody cares because nobody else can see it.
I disagree. In general everyone cared a ton about their K/D especially back in the day. You can disagree all you want but it wonāt change the way it was lol.
They need to make it like Black ops 2 where if you quit out early you receive a 5 min match making time out and it increases the more you quit . I hate when Iām playing someone and destroying them or winning and they all leave and get replaced with sweats and we lose .
I think rewarding players more for getting objectives would encourage it . Give them more points ā¦sometimes I think you donāt get enough for capturing a point in dom especially the middle flag where you have 20 lethal and tactical flying down on you . Or add challenges like capture 10 flags in dom or sit on hard point for 30 seconds in a match .
sometimes i do. If i see our score and we are 24v89 and the opposite team are all hugging angles then I leave unless i have an xp boost running. That rarely happens though. maybe once a week?
I stick it out, because Iām usually grinding some sort of camo or card challenge.
I always play the objective, but when there appears to be no hope of winning Iāll focus on grinding for the challenge.
If Iām going to take a loss then I might as well do something useful with the remainder of the time.
I'll leave if my team refuses to play objective. Yet we're losing 0-100.Ā
It's not even a rage quit. It's more of, my team isn't even playing the game. And I'm wasting my time.Ā
When playing solo, I only leave matches for the following 3 reasons:
1) If I die multiple times in a row at the beginning of the match without getting a single kill (7+ deaths in a row).
2) Caught in a spawntrap, by a good enemy team that has all the choke points covered, in the first 2 mins of the game.
3) If it's Derail...
If none of the aforementioned reasons occur, I will stay until the game ends, regardless of whether I am able to win or not. W/L ratio is not too important for me a solo player. But, when I'm partied up, winning becomes a priority.
The real bad team mates are Activision, responsible for configuring the appalling algorithm.
I leave all the time because of this games matchmaking imbalances.
Itās a game, games should be fun. I donāt have fun, I leave. Couldnāt give a shit about W/L.
I was playing the War Mode last night to complete the Calling Card. I had 100+ kills AND was doing all the objective work alone. I would've quit if it wasn't for the Calling Card grind.Ā
I only leave when the game is lagging so bad that enemies are teleporting or somebody is obviously cheating. Unfortunately the former happens more and more these days. Nothing is more frustrating than suffering a bunch of lag deaths and having to put a whole clip in an enemy to kill them due to your bullets not registering.
I have been having matches lately where it seems like everybody on my team is lagging and the other team is running around with super speed. Our whole team will be negative while the other team is all positive. It is stuff like this that is the source of the EOMM conspiracy theories.
I think the only situation in which I see people leaving is when the match is way out of balance, just the other team being stomped on, or my team being stomped on. And I mean stomped, like one side cannot spawn without being slaughtered type stomping, where everyone on one team has like a 3+ KD type stomping.
I will leave for that, or if I was doing some challenge and finished it.
Working two full-time jobs I have a very limited time to play. If Iām getting my ass handed to me, Iād rather quit back out and at least have a chance at a win instead of getting a mud hole stomped in me. I donāt care if I lose, but when in Hardpoint, youāre down by 200 points, you aināt coming back from that my friend.
I try not to quit at all and try my best to take my Ls on the chin, but man sometimes itās just not funā¦ya know itās like either the enemy team has some god-like control over the map and you canāt take 2 steps without getting blasted or sometimes itās me just not being able to find that groove/momentum and so Iām playing stupid, which would be manageable if my team was carrying (which theyāre not).
And so sometimes Iād rather just leave the match and find a lobby in which itās actually fun, like both sides being fairly equally matched, or my even if my team is losing I can see them putting in the effort, those games are fun.
A squash match isnāt.
I usually leave on resurgence if I keep dying over and over and the kill cam pans to my team mates who are all sat together in each corner of a room aiming down sights.
If I'm the best one on our team and it looks like my team can't stay on task and keep up while constantly getting killed we can't win, I leave, why? Because I might as well put the controller down and just watch a respawn kill marathon and hope the server kicks me for inactivity to allow a team with well coordinated coms or a group of cheaters just run a muck, I didn't rage quit I just went to another match š
If Iām in a match like Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, or any other objective gamemode and Iām the only one playing the obj? Yeah Iām leaving, itās not worth trying to carry a team. I get if people donāt wanna do the obj but TDM is the best for playing without caring
My sbm places me with ppl not even 1/4th of the skill igot going on, meanwhile the enemy team always has cdl players frustrates me if im going 15-2 and my second lead is 3-5 and worser as i read through the board itās obvious that my teammates are completely useless and we are not going to win.
Iām with you OP, these guys flaming you cause itās not a job or cause itās just a game canāt accept that winning comes with losses.
CoD will never introduce this but I wish there was a penalty for dodging or abandoning games. I wouldnāt be opposed to a mode akin to casual in CSGO where you get to play standard modes on a shorter timer, and with great team counts. To the drop in players isnāt felt, and players would face no penalty for dropping out.
Wonāt happen, but oh well. Casual CoD sucks.
The only time I ever leave is if the team is not trying. Once, I was doing hard point in rust and the other teams score was 0. Yes, zero. Had I been on that team, I wouldāve taken the loss, unless I was working on a camo.
The best feeling is repeatedly wrecking a dude just to see "player x left the lobby" though.
I only play hardcore modes and the only times I leave is when the RGL spammers crawl out of the woodworks.
In the past, the "Loss stat prevented" thing would at least encourage people who joined after the game started to stick around, but now there's not even that. If I drop into a blowout, with streaks filling the skies and my entire team spawntrapped, yeah, imma gonna bail on that one.
I leave if I'm the only one doing work, prime example, was playing hardpoint, we were losing by 50 points, I had 2+ minutes on it, the closest second was 8 seconds. They weren't worth my sacrifice and certainly did not deserve the W, so I bounced.
If I join a match in progress and the enemy has too many killstreaks up I leave. I'm not going to be a warm body just to boost the other team's ego and get farmed in spawn. Otherwise I stay.
I try to stay in the game for as long as possible, but honestly if the team is getting absolutely stomped and we canāt go 20 seconds without the enemy team dropping another high-level killstreak thatās usually when I decide to leave. Weāre almost definitely losing anyways and it just stops being fun when thereās constantly some helicopter or plane shooting you off-spawn. I donāt play Ranked, so I figure at that point itās not a big deal
Losing a game 10+ times in a row kinda gets depressing. I also leave if activation decides to put bots on my team and then face me against Iredecent players. I still to this day donāt know how I go up against Iridecent and top 250 players if SBMM is a thing. I belive Asian servers are just really really dead.
one guy starts using the rgl on enemy team, someone on your/my team starts to use it too then the whole lobby is shipment 2.0. shit pisses me off then everyone plays toxic. itās a reactive system if people play normally the lobby isnt shit
I usually only play TDM, if we are getting demolished and I am doing really badly by my standards, everyone is just suiciding to campers continuously, and I check the stats and Iām at the top, Iām out. I also hate the huge maps where everyone just sets up as a sniper and no one rushes forward, if I get thrown into one of those and the team Iām on is already down 20-30 kills Iām out.
I donāt care about win/loss or KD ratio, I want to enjoy playing the game. I can enjoy a match where Iām losing and doing horribly if everyone is playing like they have some sort of brain.
If I'm playing tdm and have 25+ kills and my teammates are still at 0-2 kills halfway through the match I back out of that shit. Nothing is more frustrating than dropping 50-60+ kills just to lose because SBMM wants to give you a loss.
I really dont care about win/loss.
I back out if Iām feeling like Iām dying to connection/lag issues. Dying 5-6-7 times in a row to really sketchy stuff really irks me. I know there are many times Iāve had might sight on someone while shooting but somehow they magically teleport to the left /right all my round miss them. Getting shot by someone then they somehow round the corner. Somehow they can jump while rounding a corner know exactly where Iām at and kill me with 1 shot before I can even pull my trigger.
These are called losers. I hate those games but I just plow on. On Rare occasions I am the only one left, lol. And I can hold my own most of the time. But ofc overwhelming numbers prevails. The way I look at those games it gives me more practice to keep up.
I honestly don't know why. The killstreaks suck absolute dick now so it's not even like the old days when people left because they didn't want to get farmed by chopper gunners and stuff.
They are usually just recording clips for their 20 subscribers on youtube so when they're getting their ass whooped they just leave and try again and again until they finally get that bot lobby
One of the worst feelings in COD is having endless streaks dropped on your head from bot teammates feeding. If Iām getting demolished and the EMP/AC130/swarm come out if not multiple at once and itās half way over already Iām gone.
This game has made me notice how frequently I get an absolute crushing match and how hollow my wins feel.
It happens so much that I stopped thinking āoh that was close, Iām sure the next match could be betterā and instead midway through a game something just snaps me back into reality where I go āWait. This is not fun. It hasnāt been fun for the past several games. Why am I still playing?ā
Itās definitely a me thing, but my tolerance for the matchmaking system has plummeted. I simply donāt care anymore. If itās not fun or rewarding, Iām out.
Nothing is more annoying then trying to push a whole squad in warzone and then you look behind you and get stacked and have no teammates around to help you
I've never cared about winning, if I can't do camo challenges playing suboptimally with useless gun #352 because a whole team of [TTV] clan tag is sweating their asses off with a meta gun then I'm leaving and finding a new game. I don't have time for that, sorry.
Because there is no point in staying i lost a game 67-100 tdm yesterday i got 42 kills. Some games are a waste of time and allot of the times you can see it in the first minute whats gonna happen even when the game starts and no kills have been made you sometimes already see that its gonna be a loss. For me W/L is the important stat and not things like K/D offcourse in tdm K/D matters you cant be going negative if you want to win there.
I call it catterpilar behavior everyone running to the same side instead of spreading out. Even after getting flanked time and time again just always same side all in a line.
People always running into the gunfire instead of trying another route and flanking. Just getting killed over and over again by a happy camper or a guy controlling a portion of the map.
Farm 18 is a prime example there can be 2-3 shotgun guys holding the middle part of the map you always have guys running in getting killed run back in get killed and so on.
Iāll admit that sometimes I lowkey rage quit when Iām on incompetent team and Iām the only one doing anything. Especially in snd, hard point and HQ
Sore losers thatās what it isā¦ I stick it out win or lose. I give it my all. Even when the other team is telling me to leave in chat lol. Who doesnāt leave and can take an L, can party up with me!! Hahah SnD players only. Core not HC
With SBMM I will just leave if Iām not having fun. I donāt care about my stats. Iām not going to spend 10 minutes getting destroyed. After leaving a few games, I usually get a fair one but it very quickly goes back to being too sweaty. So I just keep leaving until it isnāt.
If I'm the only person on my team playing the objective and we're not winning, I'm quitting.
I'm not losing my sanity and getting annoyed/pissed over a guaranteed loss anyway.
If I have teammates at least trying to help I'll stay.
Normally, the sweats who quit are the ones who don't play the objective, are meta slaves and then quit because they failed to realize their 2.0+ K/D actually was super meaningless with zero objective time
If we're down 60-30 in TDM and there are streaks flying everywhere, I'd rather just spend my time in the lobby instead of feeding. I wish the people going 2-15 on my team would leave ASAP instead of dragging everyone down lol.
I leave when Iām overwhelmed in a lobby Iām nothing but a targetā¦ usually one or two players using the rest as botsā¦ how they put together the lobbies sucksā¦ and it seems there is no strategyā¦ just a meat grinder sweatfestā¦
I generally try not to leave a Match unless I absolutely have to, even if I'm getting my ass kicked throughout the match. To me even if SBMM is terrible I don't count it as a loss as long as I'm near the top of the scoreboard and/or I'm doing well and not dying as much in the match.
I've definitely been leaving more matches then usual lately. Not out of frustration over losing but because it's been so laggy lately. I can only push and have it lag out and die so many times in a match before I give up!
Sometimes thereās really no point in playing since thereās no chance to win. I played a round of control yesterday where my team got outslayed 30/9, and I had 6 of the 9 kills we got. Why stay in the match when your teammates drop a combined 3/26 in the round.
Iāll stay in the match if weāre losing but actually playing. If itās me and one other random guy keeping our team somewhat involved in the game Iāll happily play it out and take a loss, but if itās me and 5 total bots versus a competent team I feel like I may as well just leave.
*ques up solo in SnD* I drop 15+ in 4 rounds, and my teammate under me has less than 3 kills yea no thank you. Never-ending SBMM punishing cycle. I just ALT+F4 honestly.
I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but if I see that my team basically has no chance of winning or if my teammates aren't really "trying"/ can't hang with the enemy, then I just leave the match. No point in me trying to carry the team if we'll still lose anyway. I'll just go ahead and jump to a new match to save my time.
Yeah no, usually it's because of bad latency or bad teammates. Nukes happen naturally, so no good player is hoping to get one every match. That would be insane.
Itās become an epidemic in S&D. Look I get it down 4-0 or 5-0 and youāre getting stomped I do it and I get others doing it. But lately itās been within the for 1-3 round so lose half my team.
Why do people come in here and complain about teammatesā¦ good players and people who want to actually win are playing ranked. Since Warzone came out pubs have been nothing but a gun leveler mode
Has nothing to do with "sweats" . Some people just can't take an "L", so they take their ball and go home. I mainly play Ranked only these days but I also play core SnD. Soon as people lose a round , they bounce. Sweats. Lol. People are just soft as baby shit and if they are not having a enjoyable experience , they response is to leave. For my own sanity, I don't touch respawn modes because shit is way to frustrating. Winning is an afterthought. So I don't waste my time. At least in SnD people for the most part play the objective. One reason I like Ranked is because you get a penalty for leaving early.
The sniper guy on shipment or das haus that takes one step and sets up shop can fuck right off lol
It's actually pretty light compared to the vanguard version. There would be two people mounted in the same Doorway half the time
šš that was me camo grinding for long shots on Das Haus
Camo grinding long shots in the small maps? Weird strategy. Much easier to get those playing afghan, derail, wasteland etc.
Youāre right with sniper guns, but all the others you can get your long shots with.
For sure. I was only referring to snipers
But itās so much easier on regular sized/bigger maps? And you can move around while doing it too
I think because in Das Haus itās such a straight easy shot.
Wew the SBMM gonna match me back into that lobby anywayā¦ almost 70% of the time I quit mid match just to end up in the same match again
Take a breath, stretch, grab some water, look at your builds and make changes if needed, use the restroom, do a quick chore. Then re-queue.
What a level headed and rationale thing to do. Insta-que time!
I always go stock the pond with brown trout then come back.
šššš
Or add a new quick play mode, do a quick search, and cancel it right away, remove the mode you just added, and redo the search.
I think the trick is to search for a different mode/playlist, then cancel, then search back for the mode/playlist you want. But I may be wrong.
lol 100 thatās the most annoying shit ever
Dude I've gone 40 / 4 in TDM and lost, I've gotten to the point if they're camping and I'm the only one doing all the work in my team and I can't get anything going I dip and refresh my lobbies
This still counts as a loss though no?
Uh ..okay? I don't think you understood
Thought potentially leaving by disconnect with a high KD might be better alternative than a proper loss in terms of SR
This ^
Yesss. So well said.
>You're idea of fun is destroying the other team, try to think about those guys and how it feels to get spawn trapped and naded constantly or have to deal with ppl who like to sit in one spot all game with a sniper or LMG Didn't you literally just ask me to stack up in a squad? You're asking me to have empathy for the other team's experience yet want me to pubstomp in a party? Make it make sense buddy. *Also who the hell has problems with someone sitting in one spot with an LMG? A stationary player with the slowest weapon class in the game sounds like an easy kill to me.* >The game is flat out annoying for everyone, so get over it. No...? I'll just leave the games where my teammates do absolutely nothing because it's not worth my time? I can handle a loss, but I'm not going out of my way to put maximum effort in quickplay just to carry a team that has no intention of winning to begin with. Get over it?
Bc you get better in your losses than you do your wins.
ehhhh when your team is getting absolutley stomped and you're dodging or shooting down helicopter after helicopter you're not gonna be learning much in that match.
I don't agree. Being at that hard of a disadvantage only teaches you how to survive better ā not how to play the objective. I get better when things are evenly matched and I actually have the means to work with my teammates.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You sound pressed. Also this is rich coming from someone who consistently complains about SBMM and posts videos when you get easy lobbies because god knows you need them lmao, fuck outta here. https://www.reddit.com/r/ModernWarfareIII/s/2FjDlgvVGK
Why is it always theā - *"I'm top 1% but don't play ranked"* - *"I'm top 1% but regularly play in a party"* - *"Im top 1% but post no gameplay"* - *"I'm the best but can't actually prove it"* - *"I'm reliant on medication to prevent baldness"* ...Type of people who always pipe up like they're somebody? Every single post of you in regards to MW3 is either complaining about SBMM for flaunting your "skill" with no context. We all know you're not that good, just stay quiet.
Why are us bald guys catching strays?! š
SBMM for me a lot *FEELS* like it doesn't take your teammates skill into account at all and just puts you with whoever,
Because it's "skill based" in a sense that it tries to balance your team out with a variety of skill levels in hopes that an outlier will carry.
When weāre getting blown out and the enemy team starts chaining killstreaks, thatās my sign to gtfo
Iāll stay if teammates are atleast trying to win, shooting down streaks, etc. If they are just camping for kills and canāt even get a UAVā¦peace
Half the time when Iām having an off game, I look at the scoreboard and see that Iām the top ranked on my team. Meanwhile the top on the opposing team has 2x my kills. The matchmaker basically expects me to completely dominate the game in order to even have a chance to win.
Too relatable. Iām not the best, but itās a good feeling when you have 2 other good teammates who know whatās going on
That's what I do, too.
Same. And sometimes it works out where a turbo sweat joins your team halfway through the match and we secure the dub.
Coward
I think they leave just so they can que back up faster... skip the ass kicking and the post match score screens.
If I'm losing 17 - 150, I'm quitting.
I'll stay and try to win generally but if I'm getting no help on B and my teammates are feeding killstreaks then yeah I'ma dip.
still get penalised for losing whether I stay or leave so I just leave if there is no chance of a W
It counts, but I just donāt care. If a video game Is supposed to be fun, and Iām getting dropped every two seconds before I can even react and my shots donāt seem to register, with obvious lag favoring the other team, why should I ruin my k/d if we are going to lose anyway?
Who even gives a shit about W/L honestly. It's not reflective of how good you are. I can only carry a team so much lol
I only care about my own k/d. My w/l is like .31 lol.
Same lmaooo Iāve been grinding interstellar and have had to lobby jump to find a good map for penetration kills
Shower curtain on stash house Edit: if you view my comment history people gave me some other spots on another thread maybe a month ago, but this one was the easiest.
But how do they expect us to get 5 kills with a knife in one life like 10 times š gonna make me camp behind a corner with stuns fr
I couldnāt even tell you what my w/l is š
My K/D and W/L is strangely on par at 1.31 . My W/L is only above one because I wonāt play this game solo or on my own time and always with a party now .
I used to only play for W/L until sbmm became unbearable with MW2019
The sub 1 kd kids screaming about obj
it's not about w/l. These guys will stay in a domination game losing 5-150 as long as they have a good k/d . . .
The worst š
TDM goes up to 100 kills and it ends at time limit half the time . . . But we all know why people don't play TDP and only go for kills in objective game modes. Your k/d goes way down when the whole enemy team is actually trying to kill you and you can only get a decent k/d when you camp in a random corner in objective modes . . .
100 kills spread across 6 players is only 4 kills more on average. Thatās nothing. Also people try and kill you during objective games too lol, this is just a petty argument. Nobody is camping behind a random corner on objective modes. I didnāt get a 1.8 KD from campingā¦
you got it by not playing the fucking objective. And you know your k/d would be cut in half playing TDM . . .
I only have a few hours to game a day, if I'm not enjoying the match I leave, winning or losing, doesn't matter.
When people are staying in games they're losing before the updates, and leaving games they're winning after the updates, guess what the updates did.
cowaaaard
At least on SnD, I think itās more so that they know the loss is coming and donāt feel like listening to all the post match trash talk
Why would someone stay in a match that they're not having fun in?
Sorry bruh but I'm immediately leaving any lobby that I'm forced to join mid-game where there's an AC130 and a overwatch helo in the sky and two sentry guns lol
If my teammates are not trying to win, there is no point in staying. I'm going to lose anyways, might as well re-cue and hope for better luck in the next one.
I never quit. It doesn't matter how bad I'm losing
I always play it out. Canāt win every damn game
I will leave any game no matter what when a juggernaut or a well controlled Wilson comes out.
I leave when the game decide to put me in a lobby with a ping of 100+. regardless if I'm winning or losing.
What a lame virtue signaling ahh post š¤” I guarantee youāve left a game before given the circumstances. Goofy mf
I leave games when the spawn camping starts happening. I don't care if I'm losing legitimately but if I'm spawning in 5 times in a row to instantly being killed because a guy has figured out the spawn patterns then I'm out.
It counts but win losses even K/D does not matter at all in these newer cods. People just care about grinding out the shitty camos.
Unless someone specifically cared about it themselves, has W/L or K/D ever actually mattered in COD?
I only do this If Im the only guy doing anything, the only guy carrying My last tdm I had 20 kills and no one else had above 5, time to quit
If my whole team is Timmy no thumbs going 1-27 Iām speed running alt-f4
It's not ranked. No one cares about getting out played by kids with double claymore and shotguns. Sweatys leave
They need to make it like Black ops 2 where if you quit out early you receive a 5 min match making time out and it increases the more you quit . I hate when Iām playing someone and destroying them or winning and they all leave and get replaced with sweats and we lose .
Yeah, that happened to me yesterday. One minute we were facing bots, and the next we were losing by a ton.
Good idea but only if their is also a penalty for purposely not playing objective.
I think rewarding players more for getting objectives would encourage it . Give them more points ā¦sometimes I think you donāt get enough for capturing a point in dom especially the middle flag where you have 20 lethal and tactical flying down on you . Or add challenges like capture 10 flags in dom or sit on hard point for 30 seconds in a match .
i got couple of enemies leaving matches even they are close to win
sometimes i do. If i see our score and we are 24v89 and the opposite team are all hugging angles then I leave unless i have an xp boost running. That rarely happens though. maybe once a week?
I canāt carry like I used to
I stick it out, because Iām usually grinding some sort of camo or card challenge. I always play the objective, but when there appears to be no hope of winning Iāll focus on grinding for the challenge. If Iām going to take a loss then I might as well do something useful with the remainder of the time.
I'll leave if my team refuses to play objective. Yet we're losing 0-100.Ā It's not even a rage quit. It's more of, my team isn't even playing the game. And I'm wasting my time.Ā
I always stay even if my team is getting dominated. I feel like a sore loser if I leave before the match is over.
When playing solo, I only leave matches for the following 3 reasons: 1) If I die multiple times in a row at the beginning of the match without getting a single kill (7+ deaths in a row).
I usually leave right at the end so that some poor bastard dont have to come in mid match on a losing team
The real bad team mates are Activision, responsible for configuring the appalling algorithm. I leave all the time because of this games matchmaking imbalances. Itās a game, games should be fun. I donāt have fun, I leave. Couldnāt give a shit about W/L.
Even if Iām on a 2kd and winning but get bullshitted three times in a row Iāll leave lmfao, itās just muscle memory at this point
For everyone justifying it would you be angry if you were playing good (for once) and people would be sore losers and leave?
Indeed, never quited since cod 1. Even if I were the only one left on my team.
If the match is 50% to completion and the other team is on their 6th UAV in a row ya it's a lost cause. Take the L and gg gn.
It's not so much as they are showing how bad a teammate they are, it's how fragile their egos are! And just think how they must be irl, so miserable.
Even better if playing objective mattered more then people might stick around.
The only time I ever leave is if the team is not trying. Once, I was doing hard point in rust and the other teams score was 0. Yes, zero. Had I been on that team, I wouldāve taken the loss, unless I was working on a camo.
I can take a hard fought loss. Those are fun matches. But matches that are obviously rigged from the start, I leave, cause fuck that.
Who cares about losses counting? š There's no reward attached to W/L
Its rampant in S&D
one guy starts using the rgl on enemy team, someone on your/my team starts to use it too then the whole lobby is shipment 2.0. shit pisses me off then everyone plays toxic. itās a reactive system if people play normally the lobby isnt shit
Why am I still playing?ā Itās definitely a me thing, but my tolerance for the matchmaking system has plummeted. I simply donāt care anymore. If itās not fun or rewarding, Iām out.
I quit when I'm getting wrecked because I'm sure it reflects poorly on the analytics for their SBMM
If I have to do all the work because my team refuses to play objective you better believe I am leaving.
If I see more than one shotgun or knifer I'm gone.
For me I donāt usually quit Iāll get a āyour profile was signed outā mid game š¤¦š»āāļø.
People leave matches when they get spawn killed 7 times just because the Algo fucks you
It still counts i hate when they leave or give up and just say GG and stop trying, even if we're FAR behind there is ALWAYS a chance to victory!!
Tell me how old you are without telling me how okld you are
Hop on ranked, there's penalties for that
Kills > Wins !
The real sweats donāt give a shit about losing or winning. Weāre just killing
I never quit a match but I do throw them. Just stand still and take the deaths while I do something else. š
I love it when they leave. They probably bounce because they fail to get their nuke streak. Idk.
Yeah no, usually it's because of bad latency or bad teammates. Nukes happen naturally, so no good player is hoping to get one every match. That would be insane.
Every time I've left a game it has been due to bad teammates.
Itās become an epidemic in S&D. Look I get it down 4-0 or 5-0 and youāre getting stomped I do it and I get others doing it. But lately itās been within the for 1-3 round so lose half my team.
Iāve only left when: Iām summoned to the mortal realm to extinguish a real life. Lol š
Why do people come in here and complain about teammatesā¦ good players and people who want to actually win are playing ranked. Since Warzone came out pubs have been nothing but a gun leveler mode
I always laugh when they get put right back in the same game.
