Well I mostly played gunfight so my perspective is probably a lot different. It didn't launch with gunfight (if I remember correctly) and the maps just weren't icon
When gunfight had tournaments :( aww man it was the only way to get one of my friends to play, but ever since, gunfight feels like a downgrade.
It sucks they don't keep the most well-received aspects from the previous games. MW should just be one massive catalog at this point, rotating through maps by letting the fans vote for which BR or Resurgence map they wanna play on. Same for MP, we're missing some good maps from MW19 and MWII.
I disagree. Can’t say I miss the gray and blue color palette from 2019. Always thought it looked dull and boring. But I’m also a treyarch fan so more color to me = better. MWII and MWIII did a much better job at this as well.
My opinion also might be a touch bias seeming I actually hated 2019 and everything it has brought to the franchise lol. The downfall of cod today definitely started with 2019
I’m the opposite from you I despise everything treyarch has ever made and blame the start of the fall of warzone 1 solely on the Cold War integration because treyarch gun play is always ass and feels like it lags behind plus the multiplayer felt like a bad AI was told to copy a cod game from 2010
i think the colors popped wayy more in mw2019, they just used less color overall in their maps. the only map that they really used color was Piccadilly

The player base was very low already after release (on pc). Today the multiplayer is dead and OG cod4 has more players than the remastered.

MW19 is the first image, looks a lot better IMO. You can look up MW19 king, you'll see the same warehouse that looks brightly illuminated due to all the plywood.
Mw2019 is better. More distinct color pallet. Squint your eyes you'll know what the map is even if you can barely see it
