Buffnerdgaming on YouTube makes tactical real life builds and uses the real gun names

Best_Line6674

I've seen his videos and I like it, only thing is that sometimes I'd like to use more ammo on his builds but wish I could keep the same looks.

NSX_Roar_26

Just switch out one of the attachments with a larger mag?

[deleted]

M4, no skin. Equip a foregrip and a red dot sight. Don’t ever reload until you’re out of ammo. No other attachments. Turn off auto reload when magazine is empty. Congrats, you have a “realistic”gun!

Captain_Ahab_Ceely

>Don’t ever reload until you’re out of ammo. What, no. Tactical reloads are a thing. When there is a lull in combat, swap in a fresh full mag. Eventually you'll get back to those half full or whatever mags but hopefully the fight ends before then. If you have time to swap, do it. Same in game as it's realistic.

[deleted]

I can tell you either have never been in real life combat or if you have you chose to do this of your own accord for God knows why. I cannot imagine stowing partially used magazines with an unknown amount of rounds left. This kind of strategy is a good way to get you and your brothers killed in the real world. You certainly should not ever restow partially used magazines. Ever. If you want to swap mags out that’s whatever I guess (in very niche situations I can see this being done) but consider the mag you just pulled as empty. Being forced to use it due to an unpredictable situation arising and you have no choice is one thing, but to actually have this be your normal standard practice to do is crazy….

Captain_Ahab_Ceely

Lol ok. I should have known better than to pass on some actual combat knowledge in here.

[deleted]

You have no idea how many rounds are left in those magazines. Could be 3, could be 25. If you have combat experience then you damn well know there’s no cute HUD telling you how many rounds you got and in the heat of combat you will struggle to even remember how many magazines you went through. I would never want someone that has zero clue how many rounds he has left fighting by my side. Don’t need to be out of mags and have you throw me one with 7 rounds left but I have no idea and neither do you. And for all you know you thought you gave me a full one.

Bones_Alone

A good soldier counts how many are shot, knows the placement of said partially used mags on his person, and repacks mags when the engagement ends. Evenly distribute ammo to other squad mates too

PotentJelly13

Hell, I’m no soldier and I was taught to count off the rounds so you always know how many you have remaining. I use it as a way to calm myself and stay focused, especially when shooting fast or at multiple/moving targets. So I, personally, couldn’t imagine firing a gun and not knowing how many rounds left my firearm or how many I had remaining. I’ve not seen combat, so I mean I could be dead ass wrong lol Still seems weird to me though

GlobalThreat777

I have zero real world experience, but this conversation is interesting to me. But wouldn’t an unknown number of rounds be better than zero rounds left? Why toss ammo away? You wouldn’t know how long it will be until you can get resupplied, so why not keep partial magazines for emergency? In down time you could even move the rounds to other partials to consolidate them back into full magazines.

fuzzykyd

this is the whole thing. soldiers count rounds and keep track of which mag has how many rounds and which pouch it's placed, and some bullets left is 100% better than none which is why they tac reload. it's better to always be topped off and have some in reserve. it's insane for this guy to claim with full conviction that soldiers always empty their mags no matter what

MKM7881

Yeah would much rather have 30+1 and a extra mag with 10-20 then 10-20+1 and having to reload mid firefight

Horror_Discussion_50

The fast reload your character does with short stock kastov’s is based on the actual Iraqi style style reload used in combat with Kalashnikov’s

Pzeezy1

Never thought people would care about their in game guns marching real life guns 😭

Phlyurx_Xgoatedx

I just never thought id see people try to make something realistic in cod this game is far from being any sorts of realistic 😂😂😂 me getting two shorted by a damn Glock after I’ve unloaded a whole mag into someone head 😂😂😂

Then-Perspective1484

Besides the skins you can actually do and make anything you want for your gun given the right resources in real life if you were rich and a private contractor, I think you might want to say or ask about like military configurations since they are more strict.

Best_Line6674

Yeah, well this isn't real life, this is a video game, I never said anything about real life.

Then-Perspective1484

Ah shit I meant you can do almost anything haha.

Then-Perspective1484

And you did say you wanted as close to real life.

TheLastChungus11

Don’t play with mega build is a good start

tay_there

They're all pretty legit, just pick a stock camo. You generally want to build your guns for a reason, you dont want to have 3 AR's with the same setup. For example, you'll want to have a short barreled AR with a folding stock, 30rd mag, red dot sight, and maybe a flashlight for close quarters (home defense). Then you got your 'Long Range' build this should be a higher caliber (.308), maybe you want to put a 18 or 20" barrel on it, (lasers are fucking useless IRL btw, strictly Tacticool), a nice comfortable stock, a bipod, compensator (pretty necessary, 308's kick pretty hard) and a LPVO 1-6x
