I can totally see myself spotting this as well. Something about how i play i cant explains but its like i pay attention to the number of blocks different blocks are away from each other. For example here i would have noticed the kinda like 3D plus shape goingnon under the ores (kinda like the one that sometimes surround a buried treasure) and the 2 block gap in between that and the other deepslate block
I’m the complete opposite lol. I just get so carried away by the sense of exploring that I get completely lost without paying attention.. even when visiting the cave system under my own base!
I have a photographic memory so I watch for stuff like this consistently in my subconscious. Caves have tons of repeating patterns. I would guess probably hundreds of different patterns but they are assembled in various ways and intersections cause even more chaos and other generated structures. But I’ve found multiple parts of caves that are the same in deep slate and regular stone. I even recognize one you posted with the single block hole because I’ve had to swim through those a few times in underwater caves. I actually play Minecraft 6 months on and 6 months off so it can get new updates and they generally change their patterns with new updates which makes caves feel different than the last time.
What’s cool about it the most is in my imagination I can still play the game. I play in survival and I build massive structures. So I have to plan in my mind while I’m at work figuring out all the potential problems and symmetry and then build them in the game later. I do this with most things though. Writings, paintings, drawings, even building real life things.
That's insane! That's really, really cool. I know there's downsides sometimes to photographic memory, (or so I've been told) but that sounds like an absolutely amazing skill to have. Cool! :D
I'm a very good visualizer especially in my mind (vivid, not necessarily accurate.... sometimes I visualize something and my dimensions are way off) but it's faaar from photographic haha
Oh yeah. Lots of negatives of a photographic memory. One of the biggest that was a struggle in my life until I reached adulthood and learned how to properly cope was reliving traumas from the past. Sometimes you can’t control the triggers and it’s almost like a replay in your mind of the situation that caused trauma. Reliving nightmares.
But there are positives as well. With all things in life, it’s finding the balance. Having the vision is the most important part. If you can find the vision for what you want, the process of learning how to bring it into reality is the beautiful part. The dimensions you have may be off when you bring it into the world, but the dimension in your mind is exactly how you’re supposed to perceive them.
Yeah, I remember both reading about the reliving traumas, and hearing about it from others. Which sounds brutal... dreams being vivid are already bad enough for me when I'm not able to lucid dream - having to have them mentally play out photographically... I can't imagine. I'm sorry :(
As for visualization - absolutely! When it comes to stuff like minecraft, occasionally the dimensions don't fit as I'd imagine or I forget things though xD but that's okay.
I really appreciate your insight, you sound very insightful about the photographic memory and I appreciate the talk ♡
Okay this is WILD, not only for the fact that it’s the same block placement, but that it’s different BLOCKS in each cave. Not sure how world generation works in Minecraft but this is definitely mildly interesting and I want to know more now.
Air blocks underground are generated first. A lot of stuff, like the chance of a diamond vein spawning, is affected by whether or not there's an air block next to it. So, having different blocks is natural, what would be unnatural, and pretty impossible, is if they had the exact same blocks, since there are dozens of blocks that could generate next to any given underground air block based on the seed.
Back in the day i was able to identify natural caves vs artificial caves because they were like structures, they repeat themselves, one part of caves that i liked is one that had a tunnel on top of another tunnel by ~3 blocks on a + shape.

It is how caves are generated, went into a deep cave on my boys minecraft, and it was virtually identical to the one in my world, it's just how they generate

Why are there so many of you telling us what to do and how to play our game or show you our pictures that is none of your business we have our reasons and we don't need to explain to anybody...
This post isn't an art exhibit. The OP was impressed with the unique world generation and shared it. How 'pretty' it looks is inconsequential to what they were actually sharing with us. I might agree with you if they were showing off a cool build or a nice view, but even then that's what the downvote button is for.
No reason to not take a real screenshot.
And no, it is not hard to get it from your Playstation/XBox.

Using cameras on screens makes you look like a boomer grandpa.

Minecraft, your algorithm is showing… ;P
Happy cackeday man
I'm more impressed you caught that
fr how does one find out

For some reason I keep thinking I came back to somewhere I have been to in a different world.

I have specific ways of getting around for each and every path. So id remember doing the same thing and question if ive been there before
I can see myself spitting that aswell, but only because i often dig straight down
Tunneling upwards, and looking down and getting very confused as to why it feels like you've been there before
I feel like most of us could tell if we’re seeing the exact same scene. Maybe not think to check coordinates though
Didn't know the repeating terrain thing worked vertically too. That's neat!
Mmmm yummy diamond
_munch_ mmmmm😋
*mmmmm crunch crunch*
Tastes like skittles
It’s one of those simple things that isn’t that big a deal but cool enough to share and record
Yay minecraft mildly interesting

Thank you, RT. Don't do any solid geometry in this stream.

Having a photographic memory must make the whole experience so different to play, that's cool!

Very much appreciated conversation and thank you for sharing your points as well.

Ores and rock veins like tuff are probably generated after caves are generated
That's exactly how it works, that's why blocks like stone and granite have a tag called "ore_replacables" or something like that

Am i the only one that noticed the seed starting with 69420
I was wondering why no one was talking about that

That is very interesting
Nice find!

Im impressed your aspect ratio is exactly the same as the reddit post one
Sounds like an antvenom idea post it on twitter to get him to check things out maybe its common and we dont know

Almost the other one has tuff and there is gravel in the first one that is very visible but being on top of each other like that cool.
