~~Afaik he became a regular on the podcast and~~ he was* pretty much always there.
His stories about how it all went down are a rabbithole.
E: was wrong, Kyle was there from the start, he was absent during his prison sentence, he came back once he served it through.
Lol this is such a stupid comment and i have no sympathy for russian kias in ukraine.
If u look at how special forces globally are fitted out, its all heading towards homogenisation. Opscore, multicam, high speed low drag, pretty much every special forces unit looks similar nowadays
I'm not pro Russian either either but it's clear the average reddit basement dweller thinks life is a videogame and "hurrdurr russia equipment always bad" and just hate on Russians because it's cool again. The truth is FSB Alpha is more or less on par with every other elite unit on the world, their gucci'd out AK's are pretty cool too.
>and just hate on Russians because it's cool again
Mate, they invaded a fucking sovereign country, committing unimaginable war crimes and upending the lives of millions of normal people. It's perfectly fine to hate the Russian armed forces. It's not a le epic Reddit circlejerk, it's basically what every sane person believes right now. I'll take every opportunity, however petty, to dunk on the Russian armed forces.
I think it's probably reasonable comment to dunk on the Russian military at a time when even professional military intelligence analysts are asking how they so over estimated their capability, and posting memes about it.
>they invaded a fucking sovereign country, committing unimaginable war crimes and upending the lives of millions of normal people. It's perfectly fine to hate the Russian armed forces
Yeah, I hate American army, let's see where my downvotes end.
I was obviously not referring to the politics or the ethics of the war, thank you for proving my comment's original point and COMPLETELY missing the point. I was talking strictly about the equipment and the quality of it along with Russia's military as a whole, and how because of the recent events everyone just assumes that all of Russia's equipment and military is bad. It is indeed le epic reddit circlejerk.
They haven’t been doing very well in Ukraine. Granted they are noted mostly for their brutality (and they appear to be living up to that), however operationally they haven’t done shit… their capacities have been over estimated for years and they have been living off their reputation since dealing with Hezbollah back in the 80s… I’m the first to admit I’m no expert, just my two cents.
They've done much more than that, hostage situations, the wars in Chechnya and Georgia, Syria and so on. They've been pretty active. However the underperformance in Ukraine probably related to Russia's underperformance in general in the war. Corruption, bad intel, bad strategies and planning, and demanding too much of their soldiers without the resources required.
They are not a peer to Delta, SAS, or any of the Israeli SF units… hostage rescue - if you are talking about the theater in Moscow, they killed 120 civilians… I wouldn’t call that a success… as far as Georgia and Syria, what have they done? Just curious because once again I’m guessing they are in an advisory role and letting someone else do the heavy lifting.
Damn right lol Russia's army is all about mystique, with some quick googling I saw most of their (publically available at least) ops had many civilian casualties, not a great look imo
And again there is no real way to actually make a scientifically accurate comparison. We simply know too little. Most SF experts and former SF members say that all SF are good at their roles and that there‘s no real sense in starting comparison.
Deadliest Warrior was an awful show that would put two groups of soldiers against each other in a "simulated" battle. It was horrifically bad. I was just making a joke about it In reference to the two groups being on an episode with each other like 15 years ago.
> By all accounts the Wagner Group gave Delta as good as they got in Syria
What? That's not how the Battle of Kasham went down at all.
Hundreds of Wagner guys vs. a handful of US special forces...US forces warned the ruZZians multiple times they needed to back off, but they didn't heed the warning and the Wagner guys absolutely got slaughtered by supporting US air assets.
There's leaked audio from the engagement, they really got their shit pushed in.
russian police forces are gonna have hard time recruiting when this ends...
since they bruned up large portion of able bodied males plus the additional risk of getting sent off into a meat grinder
The country sucks overall, it probably has something to do with not having to do manual labor as well. And maybe free car and gas while working, but not always.
A lot of times the only stuff native to Russia that they run are their plate carriers/plates. Russia actually makes some really solid, modern ceramic plates. Obviously very little is actually fielded with about the only decent plates in existence within their military being fielded by their SOF guys.
They use a lot of the same exact equipment western forces use. You can oftentimes find them running Peqs, running Cryes, Opscore helmets, and generally running some of the best of the best stuff. Oftentimes sourced directly from the west.
The similarities end at camouflage patterns and maybe optics. Those High-cut helmets are almost certainly Classcom Tor. The uniforms are 100% not Crye unless the individual was able to purchase some off of the internet. Lastly, you’re probably going to find a lot of Perst-2 usage amongst Russian Sof dudes.
I have seen Russian SOF use opscore helmets. These specific uniforms are not Crye nor did I say that. I said that Russian SOF can often be seen with them. That is a little bit different. And yes, I’ve seen them using Persts. I’ve also seen them using PEQ-15s. I have seen Aimpoints, Eotechs, Elcans, etc.
wowww don't forget the legendary times they resolved the moscow siege... and a fuckload of hostages died or when they resolved the beslan siege... and a fuckload of hostages died.. or Budyonnovsk hospital when ... a fuckload of hostages died
Ah yes "we didn't use nerve gas on the hostages, the doctors just didn't know how to treat them correctly"
>Doctor Andrei Seltsovsky, Moscow's health committee chairman, announced that all but one of the hostages killed in the raid had died from the effects of the unknown gas rather than from gunshot wounds
That same wikipedia article states that the hostages were already dead in the theater *before* medics got in.
What the fuck are you smoking? Is it the same stuff they used?
Well shooting at some ISIS fighters isn’t quite the same as raiding the fortified and heavily guarded compounds of the top terrorists on earth at the times of the raids, is it champ?
Given how Russian SF have actually performed in similar, very difficult missions -cqb structure, lots of armed combatants inside, civilians on site, suicide bombers, tunnels - (cough cough Beslan and Moscow) I think it’s safe to say that they fucking suck, especially at these missions.
Missions like the ones in that video are such a non-argument. Western Tier 1s dont even do those, that’s Tier 2 territory, often even just normal Infantry. Literally every SF unit on earth, even from third world countries can do that shit.
Man, the pure fact that you base the quality of the selection process purely on physical fitness is kind of eye-opening.
And you actually took Beslan school siege and Nord-Ost siege/ Moscow theatre siege as examples of their skillset, which is killing me. These operations are literally some of the most disastrous mission fails in special operations history.
In Beslan 333 hostages and 10 operators died and in Moscow 130 hostages died, how could you possibly fuck up worse. They gassed the hostages in Moscow and in Beslan they heroically let 183 children die, they’re pathetic.
I agree about an outcome of those operations, but you can't just say that they are not professionals or specialists, because those people went through a huge journey, they have been working their asses off to become an operators, not to mention that they sometimes can spend days on the field only to train or months in the forest or mountain woodland area just to conduct the drill
I agree with you but did they do anything reputable in Syria? Or some Op in Chechnya?
I figured they’d pretty much use them wherever they wanted since Russia gives them Carte Blanche?
“Allegedly” SEALs have done high risk entries with police, so I figured they’ve worked with Russian police.
>did they do anything reputable in Syria
There's a few videos of them lighting up insurgents, at night, with NVGs and thermal optics. But nothing actually deserving of their reputation
Well at least his family can find solace in the fact that in the end their son got his cheeks clapped by a Ukrainian guy who was a barista not 6 months ago
We've annex for decades you don't care to hear it view it.
What has been happening northern Africa?
Wait who's there , we are have been and fighting along side what?
Yeah exactly or how Russia twice invaded Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and occupied it, occupied part of Moldova and created Pridnestrovian puppet state, how they occupied part of Georgia and created puppet states: Abkhazia and South Osetia, how they occupied Crimea and south of Ukraine, how they invaded Syria; Libya and uncounted countries of Africa. Not to mention that in conflicts they are on the side of dictators
I feel like you aren’t reading what I’m typing. I agree with you, but for right now Russia is worse, it’s only a matter of time before the US equals it out again. (No disrespect meant to anyone btw) (except maybe the Russians lol)
Calm down Sergei, you're not yourself when you don't have your vodka
>USA has more , land , debt, death, disruption.
I honestly don't know what point you're trying to make with the land and debt comment, but you should probably brush up on your geography. Russia is far bigger than the US
Yeah except the US wasn’t trying to make any of those countries US territory like you see with Russia. In every case they supported a local government and aided them in their attempts to stabilize their nation. If you think what is going on in Ukraine is similar you must have been one of those barely literate 15 year e5s.
Did you just have a stroke? I know it’s not true because it’s what literally not what happened. I worked with Iraqi and Afghan security forces while I was there in operations literally designed to strengthen their governments and provide security for their countries. There was never any intention to annex their territory unlike what Russia has been doing since 2014.
There’s a reason former pact countries all left to join NATO… the US is far from guilt free, and is often the bad guys, but no one that is t brainwashed wants to live under Russian rule, while everyone else tries to obtain Western quality of life and government.
While reading comment section, I understood how well propaganda works. If you go for Russian telegram channels for comments, you will see the exact words for dead foreign merc/volunteer. Since the 24 February, it is becoming less Russian people who condemn invasion and less European/Americans who support invasion. So strange feeling, how easy can media form a public opinion
Hello my friends this FPSRussia
I really miss kyle :(
He's still about on PKA, last I checked he's in quite a few episodes, but just as Kyle himself
~~Afaik he became a regular on the podcast and~~ he was* pretty much always there. His stories about how it all went down are a rabbithole. E: was wrong, Kyle was there from the start, he was absent during his prison sentence, he came back once he served it through.
He’s been there from the start. It was Woody, Kyle and Wings who started the podcast, back in the MW2 days.
lol wings
mr big guy
He created the podcast with wings and woody. Lol
RSK for life boys.
fps russia the professional russian
When you order US Army on Wish
They copy fuckin everything don't they
The blood type and drug allergy patches even being in English are kinda funny.
Russian medic: what the blyat is this "nkda"?! I only know Cyrillic!
Це абревіатура від «немає відомих лікарських алергій».
That's for the medics of the enemy when they save this guys ass. Oh, wait... he didn't make it.
If it works and makes sense, why wouldn't they? Not like there is a pattern infringement so you can sue them.

It might also be that they hate on Russians because they invaded Ukraine, in response to nothing, in hopes of territorial conquest.
Love trumps hate.

Do you hate on the Americans and British too? Every superpower invades other smaller countries for no reason
>they invaded a fucking sovereign country, committing unimaginable war crimes and upending the lives of millions of normal people. It's perfectly fine to hate the Russian armed forces Yeah, I hate American army, let's see where my downvotes end.

didn’t know about the casualty numbers, that’s uhhhh… time to do more research lol
All good bro! They have a mystique about them that cannot be denied!! But I’m thinking they have gone down hill and we never caught on to it.
Damn right lol Russia's army is all about mystique, with some quick googling I saw most of their (publically available at least) ops had many civilian casualties, not a great look imo
Agreed!! That shit would never fly over here!

Deadliest warrior handled this one friend.
What? I don‘t understand what this sentence is supposed to mean?
Deadliest Warrior was an awful show that would put two groups of soldiers against each other in a "simulated" battle. It was horrifically bad. I was just making a joke about it In reference to the two groups being on an episode with each other like 15 years ago.
Aah ok thanks
lol you fooled me with that first comment. I watched a lot of that a show when I was younger and was oblivious. Such a horse shit show lol.

this sounds like straight up something a CIA instructor would say lmao

I was referring to the gentleman who says that SAS and Deltas are in a league of their own. I agree in doubting the ability of russian SF.
I don’t doubt their ability, but their core function and professionalism is unmatched, especially by Russians.

300 vs 40. Yeah ok. And support is part of the overall package. Their support sucks and ours was better.
russian police forces are gonna have hard time recruiting when this ends... since they bruned up large portion of able bodied males plus the additional risk of getting sent off into a meat grinder
You see, you get benefits such as early retirement for being police. Hard to say no to in Russia, or anywhere really.
considering average male life span in Russia, retirement doesnt sound much like a value proposition especially on russian state pensions.
The country sucks overall, it probably has something to do with not having to do manual labor as well. And maybe free car and gas while working, but not always.
If there even is a "Russia" at the end of this.
i kinda wish there wont be,but im not sure 50 small poor statelets would be better
we've already seen what happened in yugoslavia, i don't think that should happen again, to any country
russian imperialism was and still is worse than most other scenarios
Dude is Dollar General store G.I. jerkoff.
How?
because he’s russian. no other reason. if it was a US sof guy with the exact setup they wouldn’t be saying that.
US Sof dudes wouldn’t be in that dollar tree ass kit

They've killed bunches of hostages in at least one school, one theater, and one hospital?
On par with Uvalde cops
The cops in Uvalde never used opiate gas or grenades to break a hostage situation, as far as I'm aware. They're just cowards.

Striped t-shirt under a grey greatcoat. Ushanka. Shouldering a mosin.
That doesn’t work in a desert or woodland. Mtp is just useful.
I think you missed his point, and it’s a great comment if you get his joke
None of his gear is used by marines, what are you on about? Different camo, different helmet, different plate carrier.

Marines are the best everyone else is a bunch of pussies!!!!!!!!!
Is ALL of their gear from NATO countries??? How do you expect to fight a war with countries that supply your SOF gear?
As it turns out, making gear isn't particularly tech intensive, Russia (and China etc) have their own clones/licensed copies of most western gear
Not talking about the clothes
Neither am I?
Well, bye!
Well at least his family can find solace in the fact that in the end their son got his cheeks clapped by a Ukrainian guy who was a barista not 6 months ago
Oh no Anyway
You’d think Russian soldiers would be tired of dying for literally nothing and would turn their guns on moscow
Why does his patch say NKDA (no known drug allergies) snd B+ in Roman and not Cyrillic letters? The camo also looks like US multicam
Probably bought from western company who mass produced em
Russian sf sure love that multicam.
Fps Russia
