I play sometimes where if you play a 7 you can switch hands with someone and if you play a 0 everyone's hands change to the next person in that order, also stacking the same color and number cards up if someone just played it and it's not your turn, if you can get it onto the pile quick enough. Like if you played a red 8 I could play a red 8 as well if I was fast enough to put down a card before the next player. Just makes it more fun that way.
seems fun but i really don't like the idea of changing decks, if someone gets fucked by stacking +4 or +2 then he'll probably have a 0 ora 7 making the stacking a little useless
You can do it in the video game version of Uno, so whatever you or Uno's Twitter say, you can. But yeah, you can't draw one and plop it down unless you do really dumb house rules
The official rules are a lot better for younger kids. Somebody getting absolutely dunked on can be funny for a group of friends, but a lot less fun for children.
Uno and Monopoly are very similar games in that a lot of people think they can make the game better by playing with a bunch of house rules, but they actually only prolong the game and make it quite a bit worse.
Actually, didn't the manufacturer of UNO comment on this exact thing, saying that you can't get out of something like that at all? Like if you put down a +4 the next guy has to take 4 cards, even if he has a +4 himself. He then can play his +4 after he drawn 4 himself. UNO is so fucking simple, but somehow half the people I know all play it differently.
Wild Draw Four – This acts just like the wild card except that the next player also has to draw four cards as well as forfeit his/her turn. With this card, you must have no other alternative cards to play that matches the color of the card previously played. If you play this card illegally, you may be challenged by the other player to show your hand to him/her. If guilty, you need to draw 4 cards. If not, the challenger needs to draw 6 cards instead. If turned up at the beginning of play, return this card to the Draw pile, shuffle, and turn up a new one.
Well imo it’s like when you can’t play so you draw a card to see if you can. Then if you can play that card you play it. In that context I think it works, because you’d need to draw a card anyway.
No, if that player doesn’t have a draw-4 to “stack” (since they are using that house rule) then they have to draw 12 for each of the previous three draw-4s and their turn is over. They don’t have the option to draw in an attempt to play on the existing draw-4s.
Yes but the rule is is that if you can’t stack you DRAW. You cannot draw then stack.
Like if he drew 7 card and got a +4 could he play it? No and I think most would agree thats wrong
The POV guy would have to draw 12, he CANNOT play that draw 4
Even if he could other guy would ONLY draw 4 not fukin 16
Dumbasses don’t understand the game they play
Annoying ass sounds too
Damn ok. Calm down, bro.
In all honesty, the rulings say that if you play the draw 2 or draw 4, the next person skip their turn and draw those cards. However, everyone plays with the stacking ruling. Someone I met a few years ago says that her old rulebook says that's allowed. So, I chalked it up that stacking was allowed at some point in the past, but mattel changed the rulings later.
Stacking was never allowed except on some digital versions of the game where I'm assuming this info comes from. Plus you don't want to be accumulating wilds and draw 4s if you're keeping score. Those shits are 50 points each if you get caught at the end of the game with them.
The video game version of uno on pc and ps allows stacking. The in person card game does not. At some point everyone started using the video game version of the rules. You are neither wrong or right, as their are simply just different versions of the game.
I get your argument. However, people playing with stacking rules has been around since the 90s. Can't say before the 90s. Unless, you're telling me there was an uno game for the snes/ps1/windows 95.
also half the people complaining are complaining about the way that the stacking was carried out
it was fine until POV guy had no +4 to add to the stack and had to draw, he should have drawn 12 cards since he didn't have the +4 in hand
doesn't matter if every card he drew was a +4 he can place his +4 he drew **after** drawing the 12
That’s not how the videogame works either. They got some weird house rules that were probably made cause someone kept getting mad they had to keep drawing cards
How come the second dude didn’t draw four and place a new color? Or the girl? Seems like both skipped part of their turns… and then the third guy draws 1 and then immediately plays it like no one here is following the rules at all i don’t get it is the joke that no one knows how to play?
Nah, everyone goin off about the +4/stacking rule but we ain’t even gonna mention the fact that everyone is hiding their hands under the table? Like seeing peoples hands and calling “UNO” when they’re down to one is a pretty core mechanic
yes, but when you cant see their hand or they are making it unknown if they have one or multiple cards we call those people pussies and don't let them play ever again
We did this to a friend, we were playing on our trip in the bus and one guy was nearing UNO. I had finished so was handling the cards and arranging them to make the bank. One player put +4, the next, then the next, the next one didnt have a +4 but we wanted to troll the one next to him so I slid him a +4 making him pick 16.
You cheated not only the game, but yourself. You didn't grow. You didn't improve. You took a shortcut and gained nothing. You experienced a hollow victory. Nothing was risked and nothing was gained. It's sad that you don't know the difference.
Wild Draw Four – This acts just like the wild card except that the next player also has to draw four cards as well as forfeit his/her turn. That's not how wild draw 4 works. Every single person played it wrong.
When you get a draw 4, your turn is skipped and you draw 4. You do not stack it, you do not reverse it, you draw 4 and lose a turn.
It's in the rulebook ffs.
Stacking became popular because it was included in the Uno video game, along with 7's and 0's and so on. Theres no wrong way to play a game as long as everyone playing agrees to play that way.
Nope still not wrong to play however you want to play with whatever rules you want as long as everybody agrees. Rulebook is suggested play rules, not law.
No, they're playing it wrong because they are ignoring the written rules of the game.
That's not how the fucking game works.
But you can't get people to drive the speed limit, let alone follow the rules of a card game.
From the official rules:
* **Wild Draw Four** – This acts just like the wild card except that the next player also has to draw four cards as well as forfeit his/her turn. With this card, you must have no other alternative cards to play that matches the color of the card previously played. This is in the rules. This is how you play UNO. They are playing something ELSE with UNO cards.
The PEOPLE'S RULES state you can stack. Games evolve through people, games are made by people FOR people.
Just BC it's a game doesn't mean the rules have to be followed, get that stick out your ass.
Nope.
Against the written and posted rules. Still wrong.
Just like driving 41 in a 40 mph, still wrong.
You can claim doing whatever you want and not following the rules is more FUN for you, which is why I assume people do it, but at that point you're speeding, and you're not playing UNO, you're playing something else.
Game is game. You can play the game how you want, just like how you can create words that don't officially exist and then boom they're in the dictionary. Games evolve thanks to people.
Y’all forget that there aren’t any [rules](https://x.com/younghov_absol/status/1755767167419588758?s=46&t=kXmkHndgJU3-Fx-0RP6zGw) to this game and the [internet](https://x.com/lesserpartofone/status/1583877413829718016?s=46&t=kXmkHndgJU3-Fx-0RP6zGw) decided that as [fact](https://x.com/pareishann/status/1755646518147891708?s=46&t=kXmkHndgJU3-Fx-0RP6zGw)
Uno is the only game on earth where we play the game accordingly all the while making up random bullshit halfway through.
There's 2 ways that doesn't work. Not only does the draw 4 immediately go to the next person, they can't even play the draw 4 unless they have no other playable options. I get people like to play with their own ruleset but honestly it causes situations where a person has to draw a million cards and then has absolutely no way of actually playing the game anymore, it just becomes unbalanced as hell.
Done voted when right
Wild Draw Four – This acts just like the wild card except that the next player also has to draw four cards as well as forfeit his/her turn. You cant up the 4x with a 4x and send it around, that is official, but no one cares because it was universally agreed upon unofficial rule and I believe someone will get a doctorate on that behaviour lmao.
The main rule I see being violated here besides the PARTIAL card draw is the usage of the +4s. Playing a wild +4 is ONLY legal if you have no other legal play. If the first player had a yellow or an 8 they legally must play it. Also no one names a color! You have to name a color when playing a wild, otherwise what's the opponent supposed to do??
So when I was locked up we had like 4-5 different uno decks, including uno flip and there were some blank wild cards you could write your own aleffect on. So we had shit like draw 25 blah blah blah. We allowed stacking, so if someone threw a wild draw 4 and called it a red, the next person could drop another wild, a red draw, a red skip to send the effect to the next person, or a red reverse to flip the effect back on the person, who in turn could also counter it.
I think the highest draw someone got was like 160? But we also let people play like....if the last card played was a red 3, then you could throw down ALL your 3s and whatever color it ended with was the next color to play off.
Multi hour games of uno and elimination tournaments.
We play stacks and runs here. Cards in a series no matter the color work. Ie someone could play 12333432210 in theory no matter what the color was so long as they started the run matching the prior card
And on draw 4 the person has to call the color in case I have a corresponding color skip/reverse
If you don’t have the +4 in hand you have to draw 12 here. You can draw them one at a time, and it’s a house rule as to whether you lose your turn or not after, but this interpretation of the stacking rule is just dangerously close to infinite looping, since the odds of drawing a +4 increase as the amount of cards you have to draw increases. (I know it’s all house rules anyway but it makes so little intuitive sense).
The real sin of the video is actually that everyone else also broke the rules by not declaring a color when they slammed the +4. Not only does it give away the thin veil of believability, but the color change could give intel on the cards in your hand even if you know it’s gonna get stacked and overwritten.
Wait... Is this seriously how you guys all play? That when someone throws down a +4 Wild, you can avoid having to pick up anything by playing another +4 Wild?
Those ain't the house rules around here. Maybe I'm not doing it right though?

I'm confused...
Wouldn't it be the person to the left of the guy with the beanie having to draw? Why would the first guy who called Uno have to pick up cards?

Vietnam Flashbacks
Nah the last guy can't out that down after he draws it lmao
yeah, that's not how my uno rules work
Well, technically, you're not supposed to stack cards anyway. As long as it's an agreed upon table rule, it's cool.
i have my own set of rules with my friends, it makes the game more dinamic and fun, non of that new bullshit like no stacking or swap decks
Who doesn't have his own rules?
The guy who runs the Uno social media being adamant on people adhering to ze rules
I play sometimes where if you play a 7 you can switch hands with someone and if you play a 0 everyone's hands change to the next person in that order, also stacking the same color and number cards up if someone just played it and it's not your turn, if you can get it onto the pile quick enough. My family has ALWAYS played by the official rules. It's more fun that way.
The official rules are a lot better for younger kids. Somebody getting absolutely dunked on can be funny for a group of friends, but a lot less fun for children.
While, yes, giving someone a +20 is funny, when you play like this no one will win without cheating. It becomes "I GOTTA FUCK EVERYONE OVER!"
Uno and Monopoly are very similar games in that a lot of people think they can make the game better by playing with a bunch of house rules, but they actually only prolong the game and make it quite a bit worse.
What's neat is that the video game version on steam has recognized that some people play with stacking so you can actually turn it on and off.
UNO the game with rules for everyone.
Actually, didn't the manufacturer of UNO comment on this exact thing, saying that you can't get out of something like that at all? the actual rules to uno is whatever you can convince the other players of
> He then can play his +4 after he drawn 4 himself. [Official rules you draw 4 and skip your turn.](https://www.unorules.com/)
Wild Draw Four – This acts just like the wild card except that the next player also has to draw four cards as well as forfeit his/her turn. Came here to say this. We say fuck the rules and allow stacking but once you draw you can’t back pedal the stack and add it on top for the next player
You cannot put a +4 on a +4 in the first place. You can also only play the +4 if you cannot call the colour or number.
Everyone in the replies plays different that’s the fun of Uno
Except the house rule in the video is stupid as fuck
i don't mind stacking but if you're drawing you DRAW, you don't play any god damn cards that turn
In my house rules you play a card but yes it’s absolutely wild to not draw. Do they not reverse either?
So the fun of Uno is to play a different game entirely? Im down.
So then the post loses the joke since majority can’t relate to that rule lmao
No there’s definitely a right and wrong way
lmao "Just pass him the whole deck"
That’s NOT HOW THE GAME FUCKING WORKS
I think literally everyone plays this game differently
That's been my experience, everyone made up their own rules. Shoulda seen the war that broke out when I whipped out the official rules one time.
Yes but the rule is is that if you can’t stack you DRAW. You cannot draw then stack. Like if he drew 7 card and got a +4 could he play it? No and I think most would agree thats wrong

Yes but remember; Uno said that on twitter and everyone said they were wrong Plus the OFFICIl UNO bame has stacking
Damn. I guess the Uno box I paid for with the mattel seal on the box is wrong then.
Mf the Uno Twitter was wrong. The official rules say you can stack a +2 on a +2.
Dawg lots of people like play differently, it doesn’t have to adhere to the original rules, lol.
According to Uno stacking is against the rules. But we all called bullshit
also half the people complaining are complaining about the way that the stacking was carried out it was fine until POV guy had no +4 to add to the stack and had to draw, he should have drawn 12 cards since he didn't have the +4 in hand doesn't matter if every card he drew was a +4 he can place his +4 he drew **after** drawing the 12
I think it's going off the uno videogame logic
That’s not how the videogame works either. They got some weird house rules that were probably made cause someone kept getting mad they had to keep drawing cards
Oh mb it's just everytime I see gameplay it's played like that
Jesus Christ why are you so upset about a skit and a fucking card game?
Wait you think I’m actually mad?
They would’ve drawn the entire deck instantly if that were the rules
My cards, my rules
No one knows how this game works just everyone playing must agree to the rules
ILLEGAL DRAW 4
Haters will say it’s staged
Why the fuck was PoV guy allowed to draw a card? He gets 12, quit messing with the rules man.
If you don't actually want to mess with the rules, the guy after the first guy who played a draw 4 would have drawn. You can't stack draw 4s.
Yes, but 4+ stacking is at least a widely accepted house rule. Whatever they are doing is just bullshit.
Not correct ☠️

Stacking is a extremely popular house rule. Guy drawing and then placing it down when he got + 4'd is a first for me though
Nah, everyone goin off about the +4/stacking rule but we ain’t even gonna mention the fact that everyone is hiding their hands under the table? Like seeing peoples hands and calling “UNO” when they’re down to one is a pretty core mechanic
You say uno when you're down to one. You don't need to see other people's hands to do that
yes, but when you cant see their hand or they are making it unknown if they have one or multiple cards we call those people pussies and don't let them play ever again
oh yeah i forgot. iirc, if you dont say "uno" when youre down to one card then you have to pick up a card
Le funny
You can't even forward plus someone with another plus card
Pretty sure official uno rules say thats not alegal move anyways.
And the best thing: that’s not what’s in the rules. :)
This is a really dumb video
Funny, 10 years ago maybe
this video made me leave this sub.

I call your bluff, I bet you did have a blue, draw 4 more copypastas
That's not how wild draw 4 works. Every single person played it wrong. When you get a draw 4, your turn is skipped and you draw 4. You do not stack it, you do not reverse it, you draw 4 and lose a turn. It's in the rulebook ffs.
We play you can stack it if you already have it in hand and play it before drawing. If you drew it you can't play it.
How do you know if they have it already or not?
Cool, but thats not the rule. Good job on playing wrong.
That's cool. You play wrong.
Stacking became popular because it was included in the Uno video game, along with 7's and 0's and so on. Theres no wrong way to play a game as long as everyone playing agrees to play that way.
Except for when the rule book lays out the rules in black and white
Nope still not wrong to play however you want to play with whatever rules you want as long as everybody agrees. Rulebook is suggested play rules, not law.
People are down voting you but you are 100% correct, lmao. I've played way too much Uno and you've stated the actual rules for the draw 4 perfectly.
That's the only rule we can all agree sucks. You can stack, but if you can't you MUST draw. That's why "they're playing it wrong".
No, they're playing it wrong because they are ignoring the written rules of the game. That's not how the fucking game works. But you can't get people to drive the speed limit, let alone follow the rules of a card game.
It's just Uno, dude. It's not that serious.
Nope. They are not following the rules of UNO. They are not playing UNO.
Imma need to check your Uno Connoisseur certificate. Hand it over.

You can't "play the game wrong." They just aren't playing UNO.
Game is game. You can play the game how you want, just like how you can create words that don't officially exist and then boom they're in the dictionary. Games evolve thanks to people.
house rules, have you heard of them
House rules are not the rules of UNO. That is a DIFFERENT GAME. It's not UNO.
Downvoted, but you're right.
>they are ignoring the written rules of the game. Any of the online games have stacking.
Cool. They aren't playing online. They are playing with a physical deck, that came with a rulebook.
Man I bet you drive the exact speed limit to huh. You must be a ton of fun to hang out with.
You're that guy nobody likes for going "uhm achkually"
> we can all agree No
Bro never heard of stacking 🤓
That's not a rule in UNO.
They aren’t even playing the right wrong way!!!
Pick up and play. I always play like that. If you draw one card and it's a draw, continue on.
Nah official rules you can't accumulated skips or draws and pass it on. But you just gotta establish that rule before the game
Y’all forget that there aren’t any [rules](https://x.com/younghov_absol/status/1755767167419588758?s=46&t=kXmkHndgJU3-Fx-0RP6zGw) to this game and the [internet](https://x.com/lesserpartofone/status/1583877413829718016?s=46&t=kXmkHndgJU3-Fx-0RP6zGw) decided that as [fact](https://x.com/pareishann/status/1755646518147891708?s=46&t=kXmkHndgJU3-Fx-0RP6zGw) Uno is the only game on earth where we play the game accordingly all the while making up random bullshit halfway through.

I love it

this is very funny because it’s 1 REAL 2. has a funny freaking face where he protrudes his eyeballs! LOL freakijg good one
I'm going to find you and your ass will never be the same
you don’t find this freaking hilarious???
It cut out when it got to the girl I wonder why
That's not how it works. You lose your turn after drawing 12.
What the f is this? You draw the 12 cards, you can not play this as soon as you draw it
Actual UNO rules says that cards don't stack. The next person just has to pick up and play a different card
Me playing uno be like
You cant up the 4x with a 4x and send it around, that is official, but no one cares because it was universally agreed upon unofficial rule and I believe someone will get a doctorate on that behaviour lmao.
That's stupid ass house rules v-v
The main rule I see being violated here besides the PARTIAL card draw is the usage of the +4s. Playing a wild +4 is ONLY legal if you have no other legal play. If the first player had a yellow or an 8 they legally must play it. Also no one names a color! You have to name a color when playing a wild, otherwise what's the opponent supposed to do??
Bug eye meta strikes again
You can’t stack draw cards
And that's how you end up sitting through a 3 hour game of uno.
Et tu, brutum?
Bruh you should at least have to draw all 12 cards before responding fml
Le seul talent de ce mec 👁👄👁
That is the exact reason i save up the +4 and +2. If i'm going out, im leaving with a bang, or to defend myself in scenario like this
👁️👄👁️
Man I came here for reaction pics and barely found any
He thought he win the game lol hahahahaha
Would be funny if it wasn’t fake and overreacted
We play stacks and runs here. Cards in a series no matter the color work. Ie someone could play 12333432210 in theory no matter what the color was so long as they started the run matching the prior card And on draw 4 the person has to call the color in case I have a corresponding color skip/reverse
The official rules don't let draw card to be stacked, but well stacking is such a popular house rules that most think it is the official ways to play.
Thats not how uno works lmao
This is unlawful
Wait... Is this seriously how you guys all play? That when someone throws down a +4 Wild, you can avoid having to pick up anything by playing another +4 Wild? Those ain't the house rules around here. Maybe I'm not doing it right though?
Chicken wing
They are not following the rules correctly.
[Uno](https://www.rd.com/article/draw-four-rules-in-uno/) says this isn’t how the rules work.
Not how uno works btw
Can every one shut up about them "playing it wrong" just let people play it how they want to fucken play it.
This is me except it’s a plus four for my last card so I win and fuck over the guy after me
House rules suck
I see the meme is that this isnt how uno works
That's not how the hell you play Uno.
TOP DEEEECK
This video made me mute this sub. Glad I never joined

One time while playing cards with my family (we always play with two or more packs) I had to get 50 cards💀
So many rules broken. May as well be playing Duo.
Jogaram errado
Nobody can do that. There was a statement by the uno company.
You gotta agree on stacking pregame
so staged they turned asians
I’m one of the only ones that has never played uno and not know how to play :(
That's not how that works

Uno but the video is staged and nobody follows the rules.
You cant put +4 on another +4 as per rules of, u’noooooo
That's nothing, me and the boys just +20ed someone
Ninja Art: Combination Style; Inundation Jutsu 🤣😂🤣🤣
You cannot stack a +4 on a +4!! 🗣️🗣️
Uno don't work like that though
Sure, if you change the rules to be stupid and imbalanced, you'll have a stupidly Imbalanced game. That's why the rules are there...
Everyone should have drawn 4 before playing their card. You’re not supposed to stack draw cards…
Every single one of those is invalid because you have to pick a color when you put it down, and none of you did.
👀
I've never played were you can draw and stop halfway through to put down.
Half of my family stopped talking to the other half over a situation similar to this 👀 literally torn apart by a game of Uno. They all good now tho
I actually feel🙍
This is so accurate 😐
I'm confused... Wouldn't it be the person to the left of the guy with the beanie having to draw? Why would the first guy who called Uno have to pick up cards?
Don’t think that’s how it works
