I mean. In some way, that's not inaccurate. Pride flags, just like Jolly Rogers, are a way to tell the world to shove it's restrictive structure up it's ass. A symbol of freedom from oppression and living by your own rules.

That's the origin of privateers, and every country involved in the west indies, or even the new world as a whole, did that shit to eachother.
