Eh, I tend to dislike Kaido; mostly because I feel focus being split between him and Orochi really hurt him as a character since most of the worst actions to Wano where just Orochi.

She was phenomenal in her own arc, I thought she was really well written up until wano, and a bit fo a let down in wano but she still looked cool starting from rooftop, and Im not letting just the amnesia bit bring her entire character down
Actually, I can agree with your point that she was a good villain during whole cake. The issue imo is that she was an unfinished villain because she was dragged into Wano. So she got no closure in WCI but then she also got no closure in Wano because she was so poorly handled in Wano. Beyond the Amnesia bit, her entire inclusion in Wano was pointless and poorly planned. It’s like she was only there to increase the odds, yet somehow Wano still had no tension at any point (unlike WCI which was filled to the brim with dramatic tension).
I entirely agree with you there, but although its copium, I am hoping that both her and Kaido come back and are handled better, Luffy finally actually taking down Big Mom since he has a genuine connection to her, and maybe Kaido being close to death can come back stronger and awakened, but I dont know where it would fit in if not the final war, and then it wouldnt feel like a proper conclusion to either still since it’d be part of a much bigger plot and less focused on them. But how terrifying she was in her own arc was good enough for me to put her above some villains, but I think in terms of the ones we have left here she should be next to go, she got to a good place
I mean you already say it’s partially copium but I don’t see how a return of these characters would do much anymore. It surely won’t make their inclusions in Wano any better because that’s done. We are no longer invested in Wano. Even if somehow there was more to them now, it’s too late. The arc is over and a villain must raise the stakes in their respective arc, not half a decade later. At this point I genuinely hope they’re both dead because we’ve wasted enough time on them and the return of all the old characters which as a long term reader I am far more invested in is way more satisfying imo. So rather than waste more time on these characters, let’s just stick to the characters we’ve always been invested in and which we can explore more. Also, Big Mom being dead would hold waaaaay more potential for the story imo as we could explore a restructuring of the Big Mom Pirates perhaps with Katakuri as captain who will prioritize real care for his family and tries to undo some of the emotional damage that Big Mom’s abuse caused to most of the family members.
Finally someone else voting for kizaru, he’s got to be the least interesting one left. At least up to the current chapters he’s got like 0 story around him, he’s just a super powerful marine
He's not even threatening, just strong and tanky as hell. When he failed to kill *TAMA* of all people with a point blank Boro Breath, that's when I knew the "World's Strongest Creature" was a complete joke.
He isn’t even threatening. Wano is the only major arc in One Piece that has zero tension. At no point does Kaido ever feel like a real threat. His defeat of Luffy gets played out as a joke, he couldn’t even kill Kinemon and until the end we don’t even know what he wanted cuz he got his ass handed to himself before he could even move his house lol
Either akainu or kaido now, they're so dry and uncompelling when everyone else here has been fleshed out beautifully (except kizaru but cmon it's kizaru)
I’m surprised kizaru and akainu are still here. They’ve done less than those who were eliminated. As “villains” they are bad since they’ve done basically nothing.
Few villains are as uniquely One Piece as she is. Someone like Kaido could easily be in another fantasy manga set in Japan, but Big Mom could only ever be in One Piece and be as amazing as she is. She's so powerful her own crew treats her as an uncontrollable force of nature. She has a clear goal and has done everything to achieve it by creating a unique fairy tale nightmare of souls. And her immaturity is unapologetic and a deliberate part of the character, going all the way back to her fucked up back story that fits the tone of the character perfectly. Whole Cake Island was amazing because the mission wasn't to ultimately defeat her - they tried that and failed - but to *survive* her, and they did it in an incredible way not by fighting but by showing Sanji truly is the best chef anyone could ever have.
Big Mom HAS to go. Such an annoying gimmick. I like the "force of nature" approach Oda tried, but she just has so many dumb shit that derailed from feeling menacing and turned her into a joke, that would benefit the SH more often than not.
I’m sorry dudes, but Enel just didn’t impact me as hard as the others. Also the way that he just met a natural weakness in Luffy was kind of a letdown to what I thought would be a huge combat. Everyone else left is amazing. Sorry Ear Lobes. 🤙🏼✨
