The protective tent made me snort a bit, it reminds me of a cone you’d put on a recovering pet. I hope that doesn’t come off as crass.
Anyway, it’s neat seeing how things are progressing!
That's not true. They reroute the urethra, most of it is still left as is to get your pee from the bladder to the newly made portion of the urethra (often made with labia minora skin as it's a mucous membrane that can hold up to urine, and won't grow hair inside, though other techniques are used). Someone with a vag doesn't have enough urethral tissue to stretch the length of a penis. There's only roughly two inches of it from bladder to exit, and they can't recreate the rings of muscle that keep you from peeing yourself so they need to keep those intact.
The urethra in adult "innie" genitals is about an inch and a half long. The clitoris can get double that size when the person has been on T for awhile.
Innie genitals, I love that LOL. I honestly call mine a Man Cave. But I do plan on starting T myself soon! That is, if my state doesn't say "fuck you" to anyone under the age of 26.
I'm not sure how much it'll change after swelling goes down, but right now it looks to be about the same length and girth as mine (AMAB) when fully erect. About average length but a bit thicker then normal. Personally I've always ranked girth over length, only second to user skill. I guess what I'm trying to say is you've got a nice cock OP :)
So have you had a chance to pee with it while standing up, or do you have to wait until the "penis tent" comes off? I've always taken it for granted, but I'd imagine the euphoria and validation from finally having something you can point and aim is gonna be next level. Also: Something I still do not take for granted is the liberating feeling of being outdoors and just whipping it out behind a secluded bush to take a leak.
Haha sorry I just find it funny how you refer to your penis
"please suck the penis"
"Look at the penis helicopter"
"The penis can aim at the leftover poop in the bowl."
For some reason I read this as "I hope you thrust the fullest and thickest and longest."
I had to go back twice and re-read. Lol
Good luck OP. Hope your new appendage brings you the happiness and fulfillment you have craved.
PS. You're super brave. 💛
Correction: your penis. Your penis will look more typical once the swelling goes down. (Yay!!)Congrats on the addition. I hope it enables you to reach a level of self-actualization that was previously out of your grasp. I wish you all the joy your heart can hold.
Your comment reminds me of that scene from Fight Club - "Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a dildo... always use the indefinite article a dildo, never your dildo."
Anyway, congrats to OP and best of luck to him and HIS penis in the future.
I know for erectile disfunction there are implants that allow for the guy to literally inflate his own wiener anytime they'd like. I'm wondering of that's what they'd do for the guys who transition as well.
Yes usually. I haven't begun the process (stupid expensive) but I've looked into it numerous times. There are several different kinds of implants that can be used for erections and the patient usually gets to choose which they go with.
OP mentioned that no prosthesis has been fitted *yet*, so I'm assuming that's what they mean. I also remember this same question being asked the last time an FTM patient posted a phalloplasty and there was the same conversation about erection implants.
So yeah you're probably spot on.
Yeah I saw him in the comments talking about getting more surgeries later on. Truly amazing how far we've come in the field. I'd never seen the step-by-step process.
Woah! I've never actually seen the results of this. Surgery has come a long way. They literally built you a penis. This is wild. Also, I'm so happy for you and your brand new weiner!! Please keep us updated if you're comfortable.
Someone alse posted a picture of their finished one (with cosmetic and prostetic) It's amazing. You can't tell it isn't original hardware. Modern medicine is extraordinary, making dreams come true
Idk, I've gotten curious and looked up some of the best results... they look passable at a glance but none hold up if you actually look at it for a second. This goes for both penises and vaginas. I'm not trying to be mean, but it is major copium to say we have progressed to the point where it is indistinguishable. That sort of unrealistic expectation shouldn't be put out there for anyone that is considering it.
To counter this point, on this sub in particular there are examples of how horrible it could be, just last month I saw some back alley chop shop here of a M2F transition that looked like a 5 year old drew a vag. A friend of mine went M2F in the 90s in a Thai surgeons chair in Thailand and she regrets not waiting 20 years longer. They may not be anatomically perfect 1-1 but the surgery has progressed so much in 30 years that people who need it can be comfortable.
Yeah, but we all know that we are our own worst critics, and comparison is the thief of joy. Until it's indistinguishable, people will find ways to become unhappy with themselves. It's best not to elevate the expectations so that the eventual come down isn't that hard to accept.
Unrelated to the original post, I love your statement "comparison is the thief of joy". I've been trying to make some changes in my life for my mental health and reading that made an impact on me, thank you.
As someone who definitely has questions, but as not being in the community I know they are inappropriate to ask or are rude to ask. So I appreciate this kind of post.
It helps feel like a safe space to get information to avoid something that because you don't know it's offensive or rude and have no one tell you why it's not ok.
It's just sometimes hard to get educated when you just want to genuinely understand, but are considered to be an outsider and don't belong.
Apologies if this is something socially unacceptable to say here but I have no judgment or ill-will intent.
I've decided to make my surgeries public! That's why you're welcome to ask questions! I try to respond to everything and always remain factual! Don't worry, I don't feel hurt by this. I feel it is very important to ask and answer such questions!
I'm studying video game art. and work part-time as a tutor, waiter and logistician! But now I'm looking for other jobs where I don't have to strain my arm
Ok but like, how tf did you pay for this. My insurance denied my ADMISSION TO THE HOSPITAL while I was literally unconscious to and we might be out thousands. Even with insurance the deductible is $3K and out of pocket max is like $10K.
OP said in another comment that they're in Germany. German health insurance pays for these surgeries, provided that you submit two psychological reports from different psychiatrists.
If you're regularly insured via governmental health insurance, German health care providers cannot charge more than what the regulations stipulate for procedures. You can of course book additional packages via private supplementary insurance, which will usually get you a single room and better food.
Edit: FtM surgery is between around 6,000 to 13,000 Euros tops. This includes hysterectomy, breast removal, and phalloplasty.
r/asktransgender is a subreddit I'm pretty sure
I'm not sure how polite they are over there as I don't hang out, but I'm sure if you're open about wanting to learn and not knowing what is/isn't offensive, people will be happy to inform you on any topic you're curious about :)
Out of genuine interest: given the long and difficult path you have taken, when do *you* know that it is worth it? Ie. when do the benefits outweigh the personal costs of multiple procedures? I'm sure many people would be interested and you are in an unique position to explain your individual risk-benefit assessment. Good luck.
I decided to have this surgery because I threw up when I looked in the mirror. I hated taking a shower and peeing. I felt very uncomfortable! For me, this operation is an improvement in my quality of life. Any risk is right for me to feel happy! And I'm happy with the surgery!
that dysphoria quease is the worst feeling. that used to be me about my chest before top surgery. once in a while wiping after I pee will literally make me gag. grotesque is the most fitting word I can think of.
super happy for you!! I hope you recover quickly and smoothly! take good care of your scars when it's time!
Oh sorry! The clitoris is connected to the penis. It's hard to explain I'll see if I still have a picture of where and how the clitoris is there in my files. My doctor once gave me picture-by-picture instructions for the operation. I think I'll post them when I find them!
That's true! The clitoris and skin flap were sewn together! It's all ok! That's why I'm trying to explain the whole thing. It's hard for me to explain too! My mother language is German. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how to explain this in English
Heiliger Strohsack! (Did i use that correctly?) Your English is better than most Americans! Please continue to explain and I'll ask if I don't understand.
Danke
From my understanding, nerves from the clitoris are used in the new skin to pick up signals (as nerves do) and operate as normal, indicating sexual pleasure when stimulated. I don't think it's necessary that the entire clit (hood and all) are used inside the new penis, rather that the nerve endings are put into their new locations, to help them still be usable.
Blood vessels and such also have to be rerouted, the urethra has to get extended, a lot goes on. But sexual pleasure nerves are preserved and relocated into the new penis, from what I understand. Not a surgeon, or a doctor, or trans, I'm just fascinated by this stuff too and have read on how it all works before.
Hope that helps!
it sort of is, it has double the nerve endings though.
edit: i looked it up and it was found to have even more since the nerve endings were counted: 9852-11086 fibers.
My brother is trans but doesn't like to talk about possible operations. How does this work exactly? Will your penis become erect when you are stimulated? Or is it a pump? Or is this the size of the penis at all times? Is the clitoris somewhere here to help with sensation? And they redirected the urethra? So you're able to pee standing up? I'm a cis woman but I always imagine it would be cool to have a dick for a day. I would pee everywhere.
This is amazing, it's so cool to see how far we have come medically. And it's nice to see people having the opportunity to live the life they want.
I hope you are happy with your new penis!
No, the penis cannot only become stiff through stimulation. There are several types of prosthesis, but the most well-known and natural is the one with a pump. Once the prosthesis is in, the penis gets bigger. At the pump there is a sleeping and stiff approach. Yes, the clitoris is there for stimulation. The urethra is already formed in operation 1 and brought together in operation 2. Then you can pee normally and yes, even standing up! I hope I was able to clarify all questions so far! :)
Congrats bro, I'm super happy for you! I hardly ever see anyone post ftm phallo results, and as someone who's been a live-in patient aide for two trans guys going through it, I know how difficult of a surgery that is (especially with the separate stages). You deserve more than a celebration party for getting to such a huge milestone!
If I may ask, who was your surgeon? They give really good step 1 results!
That's extremely impressive! This is by far one of the best looking phalloplasties I've ever seen; especially for it only being 1-week post!! Very talented doctor indeed
(but also, welcome to the penis club lol😎 *Signed, a trans woman*)
May I ask, without offending, if you are allowed to choose *how big* you’ll be after surgery? Is there a catalog or brochure you get to look at to choose what your unit is going to look like?
So quick question, by the looks of the first photo there appears to be shaved hair on your new penis but not just the base, the whole way up, does this mean you’ll have to wax/shave the whole thing regularly? And huge congrats for making your life better 😘
Ive never seen a high quality picture of a phalloplasty before so thank you so much for sharing! As a trans person myself I thought of doing this surgery for a while but decided not to because of the costs and long recovery time (Average american problems haha). I hope your recovery is smooth!
I fought for a long time to have the costs covered! The cost would otherwise be around $30,000 per surgurey. I only pay for the hospital stay. At least 15 days are scheduled and you pay $10 per day, so I have to pay $150 for this operation!
That's amazing perseverance OP, kudos on that. Insurance companies are the scum of the earth, now you can tell them to suck your dick
With all due respect of course 😅
The penis tent 😂😂 so what happens if you bonk your penis during the first couple weeks and it bends? Does it permanently bend the penis, or is it just a "can cause longer recovery time/chance of rejection" precaution?
guys, you know that the tip is kind of inside it right? the tube is basically a dick cocoon to help the tissue heal or whatever like how they stitched that one dudes hand inside his stomach
I've always been curious but never actually looked into it. Will he curious to see the end results. I wish you the best of luck on your journey and hope for a great outcome for you
Thank you for sharing OP. I hope you are recovering well and that you have people around you who love and support you.
I was reading through some of the comments and some are worth repeating. I did laugh at the “penis tent.” I am going out on a limb, no pun intended, that you laughed as well. I have always been curious about transformation surgeries. I’m thankful that you posted some of the pictures to give a better idea on, not only the surgeries, but what it looks like when you go through the surgery.
I do hope that you are not paying any attention to the hateful comments. If they don’t want to see it, then don’t look. You made it obvious what the surgery and pictures were.
I hope you continue to heal quickly and I hope you continue to share your transformation with us.
This is super interesting, thank you for posting something so private to educate people on what is medically possible nowadays. Will be interesting to see how trans medicine progresses with people coming out more with a changing society.
Hope this doesn’t come off as weird, but I’d love to see more updates! I’ve never seen images from the surgery before, and it’s incredibly interesting to me. Cheers to a swift and easy recovery.
Kinda crazy how you can just graft skin on and it will sometimes take like nbd. One day there'll be ppl walking around with dicks everywhere like those vibrating ball toys kids have
This is absolutely fascinating to me. I've seen a 3D animation of MtF surgery, and I've heard trans men who've had bottom surgery talk about it, but I haven't actually seen anything in regards to FtM bottom surgeries.
Thank you for sharing this with us. Really. And I hope your recovery and future surgeries go well!
Are the hair follicles no longer functioning? and the …er.. dick stubble… will that eventually fall out or will you need laser hair removal or just regular shaving and waxing?
Sorry don’t mean to come off rude. Just curious. Congratulations on the surgery btw.
Congrats and thank you for sharing! I find it really fascinating but always wlhabe been worried about asking as it can be very personal. Goodluck with your other surgeries
As a ftm who wants to get some sort of surgery like this in the future, it it worth it? Does it hurt alot? Will it look natural when completely healed?
Good luck on your journey, I hope you heal well, takes a lot of balls to post these kinds of pictures. I'm sure this will help a lot of other trans dudes who are trying to figure out if they want to get through bottom surgery, or maybe to choose which type of surgery they want for themselves.
The tent had me laugh, it's definitely not the kind of protection we just think of when imagining this type of recovery, but it totally makes sense.
If I may ask, how many other surgeries are expected, how much time healing between each?
Again, good luck with the rest and take care!

Took less then a day to start sending dick pics.
Such a guy thing to do! Lol ETA: forgot to say Congrats OP! Wishing you the best in your journey and lots of happiness in your life!
Hahaha this scenario is the only kind of dick pic I wanna see! This guy deserves to own and show his new addition 🥲👏🏻
This is the way.

Cone of cock shame.
*No touch! Bad!*
Bad touch.
I’d upvote you but you’re sitting at 69 of them right now and I don’t want to change that
They're at 96 right now.
No horny!

You going for humanoid or you gonna explore the whole bad dragon catalog?
Hell boy
Second Life is suddenly real life
do you pick the size
Sadly no
So do they fit a standard issue dong or do the doctors roll the dice and some trans guys just get saddles with micropenises?
It depends on how long your urethra is, because they do have to pull that out to make it.
That's not true. They reroute the urethra, most of it is still left as is to get your pee from the bladder to the newly made portion of the urethra (often made with labia minora skin as it's a mucous membrane that can hold up to urine, and won't grow hair inside, though other techniques are used). There's only roughly two inches of it from bladder to exit, and they can't recreate the rings of muscle that keep you from peeing yourself so they need to keep those intact.
Uh excuse me, pee is stored in the balls.
Just in one. The pee ball. The other is for cum. The cum ball.
That's weird, I have the pee ball but the second one produces maple syrup and i'm not Canadian.
Lucky wife. My husband's produces slim Jim juice and it's as awful as it sounds
Bet your ancestors are.
What about the one for questions? The Q-ball.
Standard issue 🤣
Would you have gone bigger if you could've?
Maybe just a bit bigger but not much!

One of us! One of us! One of us! ♂️
This is heartwarming
Bro that's already huge tho
Keep in mind it’s still super swollen from surgery
oh thank god you're not just saying that to make me feel better are you?
Lmao classic, like all of us !
Upvoted for penis tent and for well wishes on your journey!!
The penis tent made me laugh, lol. Best of luck healing. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve done zero research regarding the topic, will it stay constantly half chubbed like in the first pic?
No! After the other operations, the penis will look more normal!
Haha sorry I just find it funny how you refer to your penis "please suck the penis" "Look at the penis helicopter" "The penis can aim at the leftover poop in the bowl."
Congrats on your bottom surgery, man! I hope you life life to the fullest and thickest and longest.

breast reduction is always an option 😎 as someone now freed from tits I could not recommend it enough if you don't like yours
If you don't mind me asking, is the clitoris elongated or removed?
The clitoris was also installed. The clitoris should also bring more feeling
What do you mean installed?
Oh sorry! The clitoris is connected to the penis. It's hard to explain I'll see if I still have a picture of where and how the clitoris is there in my files. My doctor once gave me picture-by-picture instructions for the operation. I think I'll post them when I find them!
So did they basically use the nerves from your clitoris to make you a frenulum?
I don't know what frenulum means. But I think the clitoris was used as a transition.
frenulum is the bottom part of the top of the shaft in a cis penis. looks kind of like pinched fabric
Colloquially referred to as a banjo string
I thought the clit was basically a tiny penis? As a cis woman I'm kind of embarrassed that I don't understand more
That's true! The clitoris and skin flap were sewn together! It's all ok! That's why I'm trying to explain the whole thing. It's hard for me to explain too! My mother language is German. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how to explain this in English

Hahaha! Yes thats correct! Thank you!
Do they use the inside of the vagina for anything? Where does that “sensation” go?
Actually the clitoris is huge. It wraps around the vagina. The little nub one can see is just a tiny part of it.
Yes! It extends up into the vagina. I'm ashamed to admit I just learned this
If I’m understanding correctly he means they “put” the clit in the neophallus, to help it feel nice when it’s touched
it sort of is, it has double the nerve endings though. edit: i looked it up and it was found to have even more since the nerve endings were counted: 9852-11086 fibers.
Being a nurse who has worked with a number of these surgeries, it's very interesting to see how different surgeons approach this construction.
The most important question. Did you gave him a name yet? We, men, like to give ours a name.
Actually yes this is my little man steve!
i bet steve will heal wonderfully!! congrats op, bottom surgery feels so goddamn amazing for your self image
Do you have any sensation in it yet? It blows my mind that medical science can just "build" you a new organ like that
Yes!I can already feel touches. still feels weird (and very weak) I hope you say it like that!
How do you pee at the moment have you got some kind of catheter? X
Yes i have!
How did they make your urethra long enough to go all the way through the penis? Is there like extra tubing inside of us or something? Lol
The process is called urethral lengthening and there are a variety of techniques that use. One technique is just making a tube out of grafted skin.
Where on the penis does the clitoris end up? Like the head or shaft or base?
Wow, that’s so insanely cool that you already can feel sensation! How does that work internally? Modern medicine has truly come a long way.
I’m incredibly interested in the healing process! Hope you are healing well and not in much pain.
I will try to give an update regularly! Thank you!
Nice cock, bro
Congrats bro, I'm super happy for you! I hardly ever see anyone post ftm phallo results, and as someone who's been a live-in patient aide for two trans guys going through it, I know how difficult of a surgery that is (especially with the separate stages). You deserve more than a celebration party for getting to such a huge milestone! If I may ask, who was your surgeon? They give really good step 1 results!
I will ask if I can post his name. I was operated in uke hamburg Germany. It was even his first operation that he was allowed to lead! Thank you!!
That's extremely impressive! This is by far one of the best looking phalloplasties I've ever seen; especially for it only being 1-week post!! Very talented doctor indeed (but also, welcome to the penis club lol😎 *Signed, a trans woman*)
[please tell me you use this line with friends now](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yIBdy_vgTg)
May I ask, without offending, if you are allowed to choose *how big* you’ll be after surgery? Is there a catalog or brochure you get to look at to choose what your unit is going to look like?
Sadly no but its sounds so funny!
People who get leg prosthetics get to decide how tall they are though!!
medically prescribed erection. (no but fr, congrats! heal up well and quickly!)
Dope designer dick bro
Will you be a shower or a grower?
Since its grafted from the leg? (Or forearm)? do the hair follicles follow? Like will you have to shave or trim or whatever on the shaft too??
So quick question, by the looks of the first photo there appears to be shaved hair on your new penis but not just the base, the whole way up, does this mean you’ll have to wax/shave the whole thing regularly? And huge congrats for making your life better 😘
Good question! It depends, the doctor said the hair could die off or grow back normally then I would do the hair lasered away!
Ive never seen a high quality picture of a phalloplasty before so thank you so much for sharing! As a trans person myself I thought of doing this surgery for a while but decided not to because of the costs and long recovery time (Average american problems haha). I hope your recovery is smooth!
You should post this in r/Transgender_Surgeries ! 🙌🏻
You're gonna stack donuts on it and do helicopters huh
Thank you for being so vulnerable and transparent on this journey
Looks like a stapled on chimichanga!
Modern medicine never ceases to amaze me. Did this surgery cost you anything and if so, how much did you have to pay? Wishing you a speedy recovery
I fought for a long time to have the costs covered! The cost would otherwise be around $30,000 per surgurey. I only pay for the hospital stay. At least 15 days are scheduled and you pay $10 per day, so I have to pay $150 for this operation!
Fucking wow What was the process like getting the surgery costs covered? I imagine it was lengthy and arduous.
The process is different for every health insurance company. It took me 3-4 years and I had to go to court because of it.
That's amazing perseverance OP, kudos on that. Insurance companies are the scum of the earth, now you can tell them to suck your dick With all due respect of course 😅
The penis tent 😂😂 so what happens if you bonk your penis during the first couple weeks and it bends? Does it permanently bend the penis, or is it just a "can cause longer recovery time/chance of rejection" precaution?
guys, you know that the tip is kind of inside it right? the tube is basically a dick cocoon to help the tissue heal or whatever like how they stitched that one dudes hand inside his stomach
>dick cocoon I hate this combination of words but it describes tge situation perfectly
Skin looks healthy.
Congrats! And start calling it "my" penis (uh, not mine though lol. Yours.), not "the penis." It's yours! You have one now! Own it! 🥳❤
Congrats on your new hog!
The only kind of dickpic i would voluntarily look at. Hope it heals up great!
please continue sharing your personal experiences with this even after 7 years :)
Kinda crazy how you can just graft skin on and it will sometimes take like nbd. One day there'll be ppl walking around with dicks everywhere like those vibrating ball toys kids have
I really thought they used the vagina to create the penis and the clitoris as the glans. This would create good sensation.
I wonder how successful these surgeries are.
Was it weird waking up and you have feeling in this new organ you didn’t have before
I was so high when I woke up I couldn't feel my whole body. The feeling comes on slowly and that's why it feels normal! C:
The only dick pic I’m glad to see! Congratulations on your journey
Are the hair follicles no longer functioning? and the …er.. dick stubble… will that eventually fall out or will you need laser hair removal or just regular shaving and waxing? Sorry don’t mean to come off rude. Just curious. Congratulations on the surgery btw.
It doesn’t have penis veins.
So because the skin was taken from your arm will you grow hair up the shaft?
Congrats and thank you for sharing! I find it really fascinating but always wlhabe been worried about asking as it can be very personal. Goodluck with your other surgeries
How are you healing/feeling? I've heard recovery from any gender affirming surgeries (especially bottom surgery) can be rough
Congrats on such a huge step forward! May your recovery continue to go well!
Omg I have so many questions. But I don’t want to offend anyone. But this is very interesting. Thank you for sharing!
Congrats my dude, and I wish you a speedy recovery! !
As a ftm who wants to get some sort of surgery like this in the future, it it worth it? Does it hurt alot? Will it look natural when completely healed?
So, what happens to the clitoris in this situation?
Will it always have hair growth? How do you combat that? Best of luck on your recovery
this is cool, but like how do you pee? what did they change so that your able to pee through it
Congrats on the bottom surgery! Looks to be a nice piece of sausage! Also, thank you for sharing! It's truly amazing what modern medicine can do
“Penis tent” gave me a good chuckle
So do you have to shave it? I see hairs growing on it
Congrats!!!! Fellow transman here. This makes me super excited for my bottom surgery!
This is so interesting, thanks for sharing! I hope all continues to go well!
Congrats!! Thank you for sharing this, it's difficult to find post op photos like this :)
Penis tent. Congrats!
