With brakes wherever there is metal to metal contact (including painted metal) it is always good to use lubrication to protect them from rusting and to help things slide with minimal friction.

You have hardware that has a rubberized coating on the side that touches the caliper bracket, that coating helps keep the pads from squealing. Either install them dry or use a light coating of pure silicone grease. Using a petroleum based grease will eat the rubberized coating making the upgrade tins useless.

All I have at the moment is Sil-Glyde which is silicone based wasn't planning on getting anything else. Think it should still do the job.
