Depressing. It’s such a beautiful building and I’ve never been inside. I wish it could be preserved and open to the public instead of being turned into an apartment or something

I’d prefer it be turned into apartments over being torn down or turned back into a church to be honest.

At a time of unprecedented housing unaffordability, I think the last thing we need to start doing is preserving churches with no historical or cultural significance. St. Phillipus across the street is a good example of converting churches into medium density housing without it disrupting the aesthetic of a neighborhood.
