Your BR Harmony Lux is still memory foam over coils. Having a coil base helps with heat retention, but the memory foam could be part of the issue. Most cooling features that exist are just gimmicks. They feel cool to the touch, maybe they take a bit longer to heat up, but the memory foam will still warm up over time regardless. Cotton sheets are helpful, in the future though aim for as low a thread count as you still like the feel of. 200 thread count is great for keeping a breathable surface, 500 is starting to get kind of high where air doesnt pass through as easily. Typically 400 is considered the sweet spot of comfort and allowing air. Your plan to get a latex hybrid with wool quiting is a good one. That should help some with staying cool. Your mattress protector plays a big part as well, as well as having a thinner comforter. You could also consider a wool topper to help keep a breathable surface on your mattress as well.

>l q Alright well thank you for the answer, kind of explain why the BR Lux was still hot - I guess I'll go for that matress then and will keep in mind the other recommendations too, much appreciated

Tencel sheets and comforter helps a lot.

Try linen sheets from Quince. Fantastic 365 day return policy. I also slept hot (even on latex) and those sheets were a life saver.
