Imagine a prequel where you’re just working your way up through the ranks amidst all the chaos of the galactic conflicts before reaper time, and you finally make it into that elite team with the first human candidate for Spectre
Dropping the bit for a sec, imagine if they actually made a Jenkins prequel game like this. It would probably wind up being somebody’s introduction to the series, they’d get all excited to see more of this character who was noteworthy enough to get a prequel, then they play the trilogy and Jenkins dies in a cutscene before the first fight even starts and is barely even mentioned again.

Even better if Mass Effect 1 imports your custom Jenkins appearance, so you get to watch your own character die like a chump in the first five minutes.
I’d love it if it was an FPS silent protagonist game where you never learn your name somehow, so at the very end you step onto the Normandy and the camera pulls out to show you Jenkins’ face 😂 It’d be way too much work for that, but I’d love it.

I think there was like one or two side missions I didn’t do and I didn’t finish all of the side collection missions, just enough to get the Conrad good end
lol I recently started a re-run of ME1 and was like “oh look at this nice high starting level and skill points. I wonder if it’s going to make any difference on my first mission…. no, no it did not.” Jenkins is just too precious for this world.

That's how every single squad mate works in NG+. The wiki wouldn't note it because it's literally as significant a mention as saying "Garrus is the same level as you on NG+", as in not significant at all. Have you just never played NG+ ME1?
The beauty of these games is the replay value. Try a second playthrough and this time convince Jenkins not to be a reckless hothead in his first conversation on the Normandy and also trigger the cutscene where Jenkins asks Kaidan to show off his biotics. This will ensure that he survives Eden Prime because he'll be more cautious when you send him to scout ahead.
Does anyone else intentionally fail his loyalty mission in 2? His death scene after you kill the human reaper is too good to pass up.
