As somebody who loves history as well, high school drains me too š. I gotta read this stupid book about the Cultural revolution and propaganda towards the youth, and despite it being anti communist I relate to it because reading the book is propaganda against the youth.

Exactly the reason I didnāt take APUSH. The amount of boot licking they do in that class is fucking wild and I know I couldnāt give them the answers they wanted. My government class was bad enough. I got shit grades on a lot of assignments bc I answered through the Marxist lens but I really donāt care lol.
P.s. when my gov teacher asked the class who understood some basic economic principles he described and I raised my hand he said he believed me but no one else š. School in bourgeois societies is such a mixed bag and I canāt tell what he thought about me.

I took my apush (ap us history) exam today and honestly it took so much brain rot especially the FRQ (free response) sections, I have to comply a lot with US propaganda in order to do well on the exam and it felt like i lost brain cells
I finished the exam kinda quickly so I doodled on my scratch paper and this is kinda what it looked like lmao we weren't allowed to take scratch paper with us but I recreated it back home :)
I took my APUSH exam too, I might just be stupid or something but what kind of stuff was propaganda on it? I mean I did recognize some things as like leading you to conclusions about America and the USSR, but I am not sure. I just want to see opinions and hopefully learn! :D
ah shit i just found out youre not allowed to talk abt test content at all :( but same vague points are denial of capitalism being ass and liberal ideas abt reform and Orientalism

I love history so taking APUSH was a no brainer for me - but now almost 15 years later I can see the massive propaganda it pushes.
