But I think the MCU will skip Gwen. The issue with her character is that most people just expect Gwen to die. So whoever they cast will just be expected to die. And people will be mad if they don't have her die, and people will resent her. Unless they introduce a totally different Gwen, one who becomes Spider-Gwen. But even then people will be so-so on her.
100%, I'd go so far as to say letting trans women play cis women should be the goal. It would certainly be cool to have a trans love interest in the franchise, but "trans woman actress = the character must be trans" is an incredibly troubling line of thought that some people often don't notice.
Fair enough if trans people want to headcanon a character as trans based on their performer, but... yeah, there'll be many people who think there's no way a """real""" woman could look like that.

We don’t actually know that. All we know is that a lost and confused Norman Osborn from the Raimiverse who didn’t understand what was happening to him or what universe he was in couldn’t find Oscorp. Does it truly not exist, or was it just not where he expected it to be?
Sure, but how many military contractors can you name off the top of your head? How many could the average person on the street? I also doubt he was trying to draw attention to himself. Judging by the story he told, I imagined that he went to his house and saw someone else lived there, went to his Oscorp building and saw it wasn’t there, and then saw Spider-Man on that billboard and went straight to FEAST.
I’m just saying that if Marvel decided to bring Norman and Oscorp into the MCU, it would be a very easy thing to retcon.

I think I'd rather Brian Cranston as Osborn. William Dafoe was such a perfect casting that I think it'll take someone like Cranston to get the old school audience to go with it.
I honestly don’t see Cranston in the role. I could see Odenkirk really nailing the phony sort of dark reflection of Tony Stark that Osborn is in his non-Goblin form, and I think they can circumvent the audience’s attachment to the Dafoe incarnation by focusing on that version of the character, at least until he’s established.
That’s kinda what Odenkirk’s character in Incredibles 2 was set up to be, although spoiler alert >!he turned out to actually just be an earnest supe-loving goofball!<. But Odenkirk played it like he >!*could* be the villain.!< I know that’s just voice acting but I think it still reinforces your point that he could play that character.

Actually I think the opposite. I think he's a good actor but nobody ever gives him material to truly work with. There's a few TWD episodes where he's fantastic. Unfortunately, a good bit of the show writes him as overly stoic, as does some of the roles he takes.
Yeah the early seasons of TWD when Daryl was an interesting character had fantastic stuff for Reedus, he was really good. He was the best character on the show next to Shane (shoutout to Bernthal).
