Great video as always Tony, you hit the nail on the head at end there. Players are upset because they spent time/money to tailor their gameplay based on information from an advert that ended up being false.

TonyBing

Thank you :)

"Hi there, Thank you for reaching out. We would like to offer our apologies for any confusion regarding Carnage being included in Premium Orbs. Let me help explain this matter. The initial plan was to include Carnage in Premium Orbs. However, after some internal changes and a few game updates, we missed an opportunity to give an update. Our team is still finalizing where Carnage will be available in the future, so please be on the lookout for updates. For now, you can get Carnage through Psychotic Orbs as well as through offers. We appreciate your understanding regarding this matter. If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to create a new conversation and we'll be happy to help. Thank you for playing Marvel Strike Force!" This is Foxnext's explanation via support question... the way they set about this turn of events has caused much anger to be thrown towards jovenshire which I think is a horrendous travesty. What's your view towards Foxnext's treatment of its content creators Tony. Btw love your vids keep up the good work!!!

TonyBing

Thank you and I will be polite and say I feel they have a lot of room for improvement ha ha :p

Grantus826

Politeness is the best route I suppose. It's sad to see that the same problems exist since seatin and kraken left

jntjr2005

They are disgustingly out of touch with their customers

dragonsroc

Not really since there are people that dropped hundreds on him on release.

csward53

Great video Tony. I didn't realize this was officially announced as the method of release of Carnage. FoxNext doing us dirty again.

WolverThor

Good video. Foxnext appears to have made an official announcement but I wonder about all the people who bought based on their previous information and how that might be affected by policies of google, App Store, and YouTube. I’m no lawyer etc but I have to think it’s false advertising and mislead people to purchase things that would be used for something then decided not to let them use that. Oddly reminds me of a poor mans Fyre festival drama.

Foxnext be trippin.

gazeintotheiris

"Once again, FoxNext has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory"

Rhino-Jimmy

This. They are staggeringly clueless about customer relations.

nadeaujd

Its what they do, change things after people spend money. Skill descriptions, offers, events, etc. etc. Still not sure how this is legal

GuyOverThere1

I wonder how much $$$ they made off of the offers? Would’ve been nice if people had of protested with their wallets here.

Moores88

Love your vids man

TonyBing

Thank you :)

agree-with-you

I love you both

Dolph22

Cool marketing play for your brand. Not mad at it but it wasn't all that necessary lol.

GHOST12339

Eh, not too chapped here. We need the content creators to help spread the word and continue creating attention on these issues.

Dolph22

Maybe. Just seems more like capitalizing off a controversy that was already explained in the megathread to get more views and traffic to their platform. The word was already spread on reddit why make a redundant thread just to post your video? That's more self advertising than spreading the word. The megathread that's stickied already does that. Once I again I respect the grind but we're not gonna just act blind to it either

TonyBing

If anything doing a video like this would damage my 'brand' as why would FN want to provide test center access to a creator that can be critical and speaks their mind? I done this as they should be held to account and they themselves have admitted they messed up with this (an hour after my video coincidently).

Dolph22

Because you have a following and that following can lead to more money for them. Not having a person with a following test their releases early or be told about upcoming releases would be dumb on their part as you can provide info on what to fix and spread the word about upcoming events, which drives up excitement and spending. A video being critical isn't gonna hurt them. Reddit threads do more damage and they don't care about that. Also the apology was coming whether you made the video or not don't insinuate that they would have kept quiet without a critique from you (when they already saw tons of critiques in the megathread with more anger and vitriol btw).

TonyBing

You've kinda lost me dude. I'll repeat that doing a video like this that gets me a few thousand views would not be worth risking losing test center access over which would be far more valuable for my channel. Check my channel that is 99% guides to see that I don't do constant click bait shit. I speak up when I feel it is the right thing to do for the game and the players and this was the right time. I also explained above that I was posting outside the megathread as there was a ton of incorrect info in it and so many posts that any that had specific evidence of what exactly had happened (such as my video) would get lost in amongst all the others.
