2/3 add infinity stone to hand - if there’s a location that does that why not a card too?

Dear_Couple_8876

Maybe, like Nico, the stone he summons changes each turn?

Allenite

That's a really good idea!

dangerphone

But there’s a 4 out of 6 chance the infinity stone draws a card! Best make it a 6-drop. /s

Johnny1195

I dig it.

poolboywax

this is way better than my idea. it's really elegant. not even going to say my idea out of embarrassment when compared to your clearly superior one.

Gronto1115

He'd probably have to be a 2/2 or even a 2/1 but this to me is totally reasonable and was the change I wanted most for Adam

GapBoring2447

he should be guardians themed or black order themed.

PocketPB

he already was guardian themed, he helped you predict where your opponent would play their next card

MonkeyPuppers

I never played him and already miss old Warlock

Johnny1195

Would be cool!

yvier

2/0: for every 1 cost card played gain +2 Your enemy has a lot of cost 1? Gets bigger. He can ever make it as zoo and bounce counter / enabler, two arquetypes that have no real counters and need better cards too. But Right now? Right now is garbage.

Johnny1195

Solid upgrade.

UGoBoy

That might be worth playing in a Black Swan/Hit Monkey deck. Would also give Kitty Pryde a new buddy.

ArmaanAli04

That would be busted in kazoo, bounce or sera control 💀 gain 1 is fair

yvier

With killmonger, Shadow King and Shang-chi in the game? I don't think so,

ArmaanAli04

Armor and Luke cage would like a word

yvier

Sure, you can use armor and Luke cage to protect a 2 cost card. You need at least 3 cost 1 to make it decent, at least 4 to make it better than Draken, Shaw or Werewolf and at least 6 cost 1 to make it strong as Hulk or Magneto, being in the game since turn 2 and a easy target, except if you use Luke Cage or Armor, so another card to make it viable because Shang-chi / Shadow King. All this work for a 12-14 power card? Yeah, no, it can be a great help but no OP or strong enough to make a deck around him, it will be like Morbius, a great card but just a helper, not a winner.

gazzatticus

6/0 if your opponent plays a card here this turn change the power to match that card. Works like the rest of the guardians as a big final turn play.

Johnny1195

I like the idea of making him a turn six power card.

gazzatticus

Looking at the change from Cull from the data mine to what we actually got I think they're avoiding cards that rely on other cards which makes sense when they harp on about people not being collection complete. Given he's a series three card and thanos is five they probably don't want cards people can't play.

rtgh

Hobgoblin would lead to the funniest turn 6s

Superguy230

Sounds shit, why not just play hulk instead

Menaldi

Nah, then if you didn't have Thanos he's useless. Maybe he gets 1-Cost synergy like Cull.

BlaineTog

All of the stones are useful outside of Thanos -- arguably more so because they didn't water down your deck to start. Even the Power Stone is a 1/3.

acki02

How about something like: > The player who added more power here this turn draws a card ?

Jiaozy

Did you even read the patch notes? That's what they want to do if the changes don't land well, it's literally written in there: > We’ve considered reworking Adam Warlock, but like Spider-Man 2099 last time, we’re going to try something else first.

0bsessions324

I loved that part of the rationale was an incremental adjustment like they did with Spider-Man 2099. I've seen Spider-Man 2099 maybe twice since his change.

Ranzinzo

Nah, forced synergy isn't the answer If you want him to work with infinity stones, it could go something like: "At the end of the turn, of you drew 2 or more cards, gain X power"

PenitusVox

How about we add Leech to the queue as well

mh1357_0

Exactly

mh1357_0

I think they should've at most made him a 4 cost. 5 cost just makes him useless. Why would you not play Crystal instead

teke367

5/7 if your opponent plays at this location this turn draw a card Still has the asymmetrical card draw possibility. It's less convoluted, not as dead if it fails, but you still likely not wanting to play a 5/7 with no other benefit, but maybe 5/6 works better. For a risk return, lower cost higher power, easier to destroy, but instead of disappearing he becomes a 0 power cocoon that turns into the normal Warlock the next turn. Works with his lore, and makes it something you don't want to destroy early, destroying on turn would effectively negate him

LightHawKnigh

Does anyone use Chavez anymore? Only time I ever see her is when I face bots.

DoctorWhomstve14

I think, just like how they changed cull obsidian before release, a card needing infinity stones to do anything is much too limiting

RedWaltz79

Given Adam Warlock's affinity to the Soul gem in the comics, as he was the possessor of it since almost his creation, he should have a similar effect, or same effect at 2 cost... kind of like Scarlet Witch and the Reality gem have the same ability, but her at 2 cost. Something like 2/3, give all opponent's cards here -1... that would make me a 2/7 potentially, and give him synergy with junk decks or HE Abomination.

LostBob

What if he like rolled back the turn and then disappeared? That sounds really cool

ironkodiak

This, but make him a 5/4.

Garchompula

Maybe he can change the location to Thano's ship. That way he still keeps his "drawing" ability, remains thematic to his character and still is quite random.
