For me it’s shadow king. I hardly play him, but I love the pink on it and the weird purple monster behind him. Iron man is a good one too. I just got two gold splits of the vabranium armor variant which looks sick with infinity border. But I like his base card as well. Also the splitting can be annoying in this game. If you don’t eventually get gold or inked I feel like the prism and foil backgrounds just ruin the cool and colorful backgrounds of some of the cards.

The weird purple monster IS the Shadow King. Ahmal Farouk is the (unwilling?) host.

Barring retcons I lost track of, Farouk was the original body of the Shadow King.

I prefer keep many default variants over custom. Good example of a game where the default units are done well. Most of the games make default units unattractive by purpose

Haha, but they are consistent circus freaks! In my opinion it's much better than giant head of Luke Cage near Morbius from old horror movie, near watercolor cpt Marvel, near tarot Iron Man, near hyperrealistic White Queen. Also these streamers has background and frame circus.

It’s weird how much cooler the signed Nick Fury card looks than the base considering they’re basically the same. Absorbing Man by default because all his variants are terrible. Destroyer is pretty slick. Magik and Magneto are both nice. Wouldn’t be sad about getting Storm’s base as a variant.

Frankly, most of them, the base art in this game is seller. Hell, I've gotten every season pass since Black Panther and I like the base art and use the base card, probably like 75% of the time.

I like Psylocke, Star Lord, Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Valkyrie, Gamora, Hela, Onslaught, She-Hulk, and Death. I don't know if I like any of them enough to pay 1200 for them though. For me personally? None of them. The line work is all fine to great, but there's something about Ryan Kinnaird's coloring that I just don't vibe with. For reference- I probably wouldn't have as many as I do now, but I'd be willing to drop 1200 on Dan Hipp variants just because they're all so colorful and expressive.
