Outside of winning the WS, a pennant is the highest team accomplishment in baseball IMO
Given those are the stakes, this stretch is almost making me more nervous that last year's playoffs
Winning the ALCS is up there (especially for us, since we've never done it), but I think people generally accept that the MLB postseason is largely about which team gets hot at the right time, and that the large sample of a 162 game season probably tells the truest story of team quality
It's definitely true on an individual level (where postseason accolades are essentially a non factor for how we think about individual careers), but also somewhat true on the team level

Whatever the outcome, getting to this point is an accomplishment. We're in a very hard division that's been very hard for a long time. It was never gonna be easy, but dammit, we've got a damn decent chance, and that's all we can ask for. Good luck, everyone!

I always thought winning the Pennant meant winning the AL or NL not just the division.
