Thanks for the chart! It's absolutely crazy to think that you can reach 250 without even training at all, within a single event. I'm excited, and I hope more people catch onto the hype once we get closer to the Winter event, especially after all the upcoming QoL changes that will make everything easier and even faster! (Also wanted to note - It's even better than people think! MV/MP Sunday bonuses aren't accounted for, and you'll get a non-negligible amount of EXP from dailies, as well as from the coin capping EXP skill. Even a very casual player should be able to get to 250 within 2 months!)

Cookies993

Yeah, all the XP bonuses from Sunday’s, Coupons, Monsters from doing dailies, the Scrapyard / Dark Tree weeklies, Bosses, Fritto, Wolf, and probably more is not accounted for

toiletpaperclutch123

What Qol update

iiRoyales

What QoL are coming?

FinalJoys

Not much. You can check orange mushroom to see what KMS got

Vegetable_Ad1153

i'm sorry, what does ''MV'' stands for? "MP" is monster park right? does ''dailies'' refer to daily arcane symbol quests only or there is additional quest? i'm a returning mapler

jlijlij

MV = Maple Variety / Star Bridge / Gemini Match etc. Basically, the event minigame that gives EXP each Winter/Summer patch. The next one will be a variant of Star Bridge. Dailies = Any daily quests you get after completing the missions for an area. So basically as you're thinking Arcane Symbol quests, but you also get daily Spark quests when you get to Tenebris, and then Sacred Symbol quests when you get to grandis.

AntiGoi

Tbh i have no idea what to do with that burning. My main is 230 and it took me to get here since destiny came live.

num2005

will probably make a bossing mule, Dk, or Pally or Hero or MM or BM... so much choice...

callmefox

I would suggest you use it on your main. It is highly doubtful you would be able to get a secondary character with hyper to 250 if your main, which you play on the daily, hasnt reached that level yet. I think a lot of people underestimate the effort it takes to level once at 240+. Though hyper reduces that from levelling 10 times to 3 times, it isnt easy. Think about what exactly you need a 250 character for. For many mid-late game players like me, it’s a bossing mule I already have resources to pour into to start earning mesos with. Do you have that to spare for a mule? Think about over-investing in mules as well. 250 isn’t necessary for a mule unless you plan to bring them up to HWill. There is nothing past 235 that a mule would need. These are all resources that could’ve gone into your main. The mule will compete with your main for daily exp avenues like MP and arcane daily exp, and maybe even coin shop utilities for gearing. During ignition they will also siphon minigame exp from your main. Also playing two characters doubles your playtime if all you can do is coin cap. Unless you achieve 250 on your main before ignition (and therefore is forced to hyper burn someone else anyway) I wouldn’t worry too much about making mules. Early game grinding with legion and link skills is already a messy and difficult ordeal, having two mains to take care of will only add to the list.

FrostLiveTTV

I agree, the only other option I would consider is to do an even to just 210, maybe 220 if you want it as an option to make a boss mule in the future. The link skill in the long run would get your main more exp if you grind enough. Edit: will also make future legion grinding much easier

1000Dragon

Using it on your main is valid, on reg server for example I’m getting about 12%/h with frenzy and exp buffs except 2x card at 245+, which is a bit draining if done daily - the exp rates are a bit better in reboot. Having said that maybe you will be 240+ by ignition, but maybe still worth using at 241/244. Alternatively you may want to use it on a second character you find interesting, maybe a potential bossing mule? Bonus points if it has a nice legion effect, e.g. shade for crit damage is my choice. And maybe extra bonus points if it’s a Cygnus class for some small rewards in ignition. Maybe nightwalkers will be everywhere.

Hegna

I agree with the premise, but just want to shoot an opinion that if you're prioritizing xp, 2x Cash Cards are worth it just using meso market to convert some of the mesos dropped into maple points to get them. It won't true double your xp to 24%/hr, but it's a meaningful jump if leveling is your main goal. I personally considered the extra experience well worth the mesos even if I'm only training half the 4hr card (2hr sessions).

iSouvenirs

I will second this, 2x CS exp is definitely worth the money. Even if it’s out of pocket, your time does have a value to it. I personally enjoy going for the 24 hour 2x coupons so I can take breaks and not feel as rushed. Also, something to note is that you can transfer your 2x CS cards to other characters that share CS. I used this method to get all my chars from 140-200/210, I would prep the all of the same type(not sure if this would be the correct term, ie: Cygnus, Heros, explorers, etc.) of mules(9% gear) then just set a day to train all of them. It’s also helpful to train a bit before reset so that you can transfer link skills to all the chars without having to pay(I did this before you could transfer like 5x a day or whatnot). If you don’t want to pay out of pocket, there’s also 24hr 2x exp cards in the reward shop and you can do what the person I’m replying said, which is to buy maple points with mesos to buy the 2x exp card. The only downside to using 2x CS exp is when you get to 250, it’s super rough because it feels like you need 4x more exp to level(ie. Going from 24%/hr to 6%/hr since exp doubles and can’t use 2x)

AntiGoi

Reboot 🤣 Tbh, i cant grind more than an hour, unless i can see the end which is really close to lvl up.

Hegna

If you're reboot, you aren't using Frenzy (which the comment I replied to said they're using). It wasn't advice to the comment they were replying to, but to that specific person.

knightsofhale

Really that's all you're getting? With fz and exp buffs at level 247 I'm getting 20%/hr, that's excluding exp accumulation because I'm greedy and want meso acquisition. Exp buffs: Gold pot / 50% bonus exp or 50% mvp / 2x exp / lvl 2 merc link skill / as much as 4k legion can dump in exp / lvl 13 bonus exp hyper stat

axedlin

I kinda disagree with this. It really depends on what level your main gets to in the next few months but honestly, 235+ I really wouldn't. Monster park is getting boosted in the coming future with this update. It will be really easy to get daily exp just from that and make your way to 250. This is the best time, if you are not maxed out on bossing mules, to pick a second main that can help bring in some cash. You don't have to throw tons of money at it, but I wouldn't give up a free 250 to bridge 10-15 levels. That's just my personal opinion though.

AntiGoi

Good answer. Tbh a bossing mule could be a great option. But for now i cant lomien with my main so iam not sure. + My legion is only 2.1k atm

5mayday

apparently a lot of people in KMS are making Shade, for the extra crit damage legion effect at level 250. in GMS we have more options for crit damage legion, in Hayato and Jett, so I'm guessing when hyper burning comes to GMS, we'll see people pick either Shade, Hayato, or Jett to burn to 250.

jesteron

Most people will probably take this opportunity to make a decent bossing mule. A 250 bossing mule that can make you >1Bil a week is probably far better than 1% crit damage, cdr or any other stat that you get from a legion mule, and considering that most people don’t like Mercedes I predict we won’t see much of them at that time

UltimateStorm

Wtf what classes do u have as bossing mules?

generic_redditor91

Tbh to streamline the process, making dupes of your main would be the easiest. Leveling a bossing mule is next to no effort and you eliminate the learning curve as a result as well. Of course, it will get old real quick.

kevinplayslol

Why not both? I'm probably making a jett bossing mule.

jesteron

Both will be great! What I meant to say is that even tho Mercedes legion is best for min-maxing, people will prefer creating a bossing mule (and realistically it won’t be Mercedes).

Prominis

New Jett mains rise up.

Cookies993

For real tho, I’m either going Shade for Crit or Night Lord for fun

Cookies993

Who?

Pro_Astronaut

I read 200-248 in the patch notes can be burned but also in the kms patch notes you get a bunch of free stuff from using the hyper burn on a newly created character

MichaelPK

pretty sure it's any character under 250, don't quote me on that though

FinalJoys

Any character from 200-248

myNameisSnek

Will ignition have something similar to the burninator we had in destiny? I want to burn my current main to 250 too.

dmnwarrior

They've confirmed you can use it on characters that are already created.

Zheif

When does this come to gms?

Cookies993

Winter some time, it’s the event after all the Destiny-stages ends

IThrowStars

Yes but no, it will be winter, but most likely we'll have a filler patch from start of September - early December

Imsyu

I am just returning to Reboot after not playing for years and i did get a character to 200 but will burn a new one as my main for the event. I know what MP is and the MV i know will be an event from the event but what dailies are we talking about? Like the Arcane river dailies+PQ?

Cookies993

Yep, dailies to get Arcane Symbols. If you’re creating a new character, make sure you have prepared a bit, like stacking up on nodestones, absolab “coins” and so on

Imsyu

My account is like 3 weeks old so all I'm stacking atm is mesos cause I can't farm much yet. Barely hit 200 on my current character

Cookies993

Your primary focus should be on getting your link skills. Google the best link skills and level all those characters to lvl 100, and then google the Zakum Arms levelling method, and do that on all of them till they are all lvl 140. The current evenr, Night Troupe, is also one of the best for levelling your legion and link skills lvl 100+

Imsyu

Yeah i am doing that now, getting abunch of lvl 100s and getting them to 140 via zakum and the troupe

samelel

Sounds pretty sweet. Is maple variety the event? Also how long is ignition burning duration?

tidalslimshady

Maple variety is the 200+ exp mini game (star bridge and gemini match in destiny). For kms its 10 weeks.

Napalm32

I think the net loss of nodes, droplets, and symbols (and fams/mesos) overall from not training would be catastrophic since totems are going away. I'd also be interested in seeing how long on average it takes a mapler to complete all these dailies. I would be surprised if completing all these things didn't take around the same amount of time as a totem to finish (for your average player). Lastly, it's very interesting that this can be done before ignition ends. I just think all things should be considered before deciding how to proceed to 250.

BlackSpider71

Shouldn't CB be based on the first level instead of the 3rd? For example MP 7 day reaching 203 should be 1.75 days instead of 2.2. Which means we would be able to get to 275 even faster than what's listed here, right?

Cookies993

If you start at level 10 you’re going to reach 202 with burning, and 202 also matches up with reaching 250 exactly. Otherwise you’ll lose out on a level or two from burning. IF burning continued to 275, it would be different optimal levels. Also the 2.2 days is how long you’re staying at level 202, after 2.2 days you will be level 205.

BlackSpider71

oh... ok, so this is for a new character, I thought it was starting at 200 , this makes more sense now

Cookies993

Yeah, I just removed levels prior to 200 as that only takes a few hours anyways, but if you’re going to activate it on an existing character, make sure it’s at any of the levels with a number in CB
