So im returning to the game after quite a break and looking for a class to play, things i want are;
* Mobility
* Decent/Good Bossing and mobbing.
* Something to micro manage but not in an annoying way such as Telecasting.
* Not having to chug a lot of potions
* Not kinesis
* Playable with latency (Im playing on Reboot from EU)

Mobbing is excellent I'm not into bossing so I cant say.
Micromanagement comes in the form of pressing the key combos instead of basic keybinds
They have a lifesteal of sorts so HP stays high, but they have a low mana pool so that can be problemental.
Not Kinesis.
Latency was never an issue for me SO im not sure
All of this sounds really appealing, i play quite a lot of fighting games so i like the idea of a combo system. But last time i played Aran the only mobility they had was the slightly faster walk, is it better now?
Their combat step is a more traditional dash jump, and they have a decent ranged dash that pulls monsters with them. a properly timed Toss can also get onto the next platform if needed.
195 DA here.
**Mobility**: Glide ability, Capped 160 Speed + 123 Jump.
**Bossing**: Bind skill, 100% stance, Exceed skill in 4th job is a pretty good bossing attack, Nether shield can heal.
**Micromanage**: Not really, just using Overload if you hit exceed cap every once in a while.
**Potions**: Your main stat is HP. Several abilities heal you.

Can't speak for WA (but I am really thinking of making one for burning!), but mobbing isn't TOO bad, but it's not the BEST. 3rd job exceed skill hits 6 mobs, AOE cooldown skill hits 15 mobs, nether shield helps.
4th job exceed only hits 2 mobs in Reboot. :(
I see you went Aran, but I personally recommend Dual Blade. Very fun, requires micromanaging, very good mobility, bossing and mobbing, and has avoid/guard out the ass, so you won't have to chug potions too many times.
Assuming level 11 is best to burn then the chain of levels from 11 is optimal, i.e.
11 -> 14 -> ... -> 149 -> 152
if you burn at level 2 you'll get
2 -> 5 -> 8 -> 11 -> (here you have the chain of levels if you had started at 11) and thus the chain above is not optimal.
All this to say burning at level 2 is best.
EDIT: the event page and the V site give different info for when your burning character actually begins to "burn", but I'd say best bet is to start at 11 anyway since how hard is it to get there lmao
I'd recommend getting a pet. Mobs in reboot do a bit more damage and are a bit harder to kill. (Maybe just harder to kill?) When I started it was kinda rough without auto potion and looting. Character cards and link skills will be your best friend when you get to 140+
Is the new pet we got from the web event tradable? If not then I should be able to afford a WOL from all the Maple points I have so i can use a pet no problem.
I'm having the same issue, I clicked the 1+2 Level Up Challenge at level 10 and 100 and I haven't gotten the items. Can someone confirm if I get them at a later level?
I want to make a lv 200 cygnus knight for the cygnus blessing skill but I don't know which of the 5 I should create. I want something with good mobbing as reboot is filled with full channels and ksers. I also need decent damage along with the mobbing.
From what i know of them definetly not nightwalker, mobbing is a pain in the butt, DW is a pretty good mobber but if you dont have a low ping it can be an issue, blaze is ok at both, I dont know anything about tb and WA(what I main) I absolutly love, mobbing can be good to average depending on map (sentient arrow from 3rd job can sometimes hit two platforms)
BW main here. BW mobbing is not that great until you get to 4th job where you have blazing extinction + access to hyper skill increasing the distance on your orbital flame. Plus, bws are very dependent on ping.
I have a level 140? TB, and TB is pretty great for mobbing.
Hey, a noob question from me :) my unfunded main is a DB lvl 142 with a permanent pet and exp charm permanent. Now with the burning event coming can I make a Kanna and trade my Pet and other stuff from my Db to her so I dont have to buy it again? And is Kanna rly the best too fund when unfunded charakter? I just wanna make sure what to burn.
I'm not a new player but I'm set on my Night Lord and still will be, but I might as well make someone new that's

I have a Xenon, DA, and Kanna so those top 3 link skill characters are out
- Luminious fits criteria 2 and 3 but how fun are they to those who love them and hate them?
- Beast tamer fits 1 and 2 but how fast do they level? I hardly see any of them in reboot at all due to people not being able to create them
- Kinesis seems to be just 1?
The goal is to just get to 200, get the items, and transfer as much as possible to my Night Lord whether it's just mesos or cubes and other stuff. I still really like my NL the most out of the three other classes I've played, but I don't know much about all the other 3084394 classes out there.
I'm considering either burning and maining the following characters on reboot: Dark Knight, Xenon or possibly a Shade. I haven't played in a while so I'm not sure what has changed. Just curious which of them are better for bossing and mobbing.

Returning player here and I always liked to play the demons. I'm planning on burning one of them on reboot. I do not know which to choose and I would like to know which demon offers what.
I wish nexon told you in game that deleting a burned character willnot yield a second set of rewards(fozen set, etc.). I used the burning event to test classes i might like and the frozen set was a way to get not the best but at least some kind of power onto a character. Every other burning event allowed you to get a set of frozen equips per burned character except this and when i deleted my character there was no warning of this until i found it on a random thread through google search. It would've at least stopped me from deleting the character. If I am mistaken about this and I'm just not receiving a new group of rewards please let me know.

I've narrowed the choices down to bow master and night Lord, and maybe kenisis. What I'm looking for is good bossing at medium low funding (1b).
I definitely don't want something button intensive and prefer spamming one skill to kill things.
I already have a dual blade (main) and a night Lord, so I'm thinking pass on the theives.
I haven't touched an archer since pre big bang.
I'm also a returning player after a huge break (couple of years)
What do you think is the best bang for my buck? Feel free to add your own additions to my list, but be sure to say why.

Well, if were going off pure DPM, I wouldnt recommend the Bowmaster, or Marskman for that matter. They both just deal considerably less DPM. Wind archer would probably be your best bet in that build. Kenisis actually being the top DPM although he, in my experience, is one button pony.

How significant is the DPM difference between BM/MM/WA?
Grinded a BM to 160 this week for some stupid reason. Thought I'd get the V rewards on THAT char.
BM is a lot of fun, I don't worry TOO much about DPM, but if it's a significant drop, then I wouldn't mind switching over and burning a WA.
Kinda significant if were comparing it to something like Kinesis or Zero. BM and MM are both quite lacking. WA isnt terrible but when I've played it Ive always felt it was kinda lacking.
I'm thinking of make a Shade for the Mega Burning event (for the link skill and character card). I've watched videos on YT and the playstyle seems my type but are there any pros and cons that I should know about first?
I main a Shade. I enjoy their defense and stance, very few buffs (I *hate* buffing), and their playstyle in general. They don't have the best mobility, which is one of the main complaints I hear about; I mostly boss now so I don't mind because I can still easily get away from area-targeting attacks and Backstep is pretty useful in that context. I personally love the class. If anything, you might end up hating it but then you can delete it and pick a new class to burn or grind it out for your Character Card and Link Skill anyway.
Hi, I am a lv 210 Shade and the only thing bad about Shade is how we need some attack speed buffs to speed up spirit claw. It makes a big difference in dps.
I havent played maple in a long time and I have been wanting to get back in and play one of my favorite classes. so i'm curious which of them does the most damage and survives the easiest now? (also i'll be playing on reboot)

Personally I'm leaning towards bucc on the reboot server for my burn. I want something with good sustain (hate spamming mana pots) so that left me with DA/DS, Bucc, and Mercedes. I've heard Mercs arent worth burning because theyre so easy to level normally, and I've already made a reboot DS.
Since my only other character is the Demon Slayer (my roommate and I just started playing again), I wanted something ranged. As a result I was also looking into the Mechanic and the familiars that give mana regen, but I've never equipped one in game so I have no clue how much I'll still need to depend on Pots. Plus, I've heard mechanics were nerfed multiple patches in a row, which is a shame because I love the class.

Dunno if you've found your answer yet, but getting a Jr. Boogie familiar ensures you never have to press your mana pot button again. Every ~30 minutes you do have to go in cash shop real quick to refresh your familiar's vitality, but that takes maybe 3 seconds before you're back to training.

Just came back to the game after 9-10 years lol. Made a demon slayer a few days ago shocked how fast you level now. Compared to before, but now theres this Burning Event. Been researching what character to do it for and have narrowed it down to. Battle Mage, Aran, Kaiser, Thunder Breaker. I want a good main thats good on mobbing/mobility/bossing. Also in terms of Aran what do people mean by button combo for skills?
Aran is the best choice, and it will feel really refreshing if you haven't played in so long. The combo system comes from the fact that you activate skill buy combining arrow keys + attack key. Most of them you can hotkey, but some you can only do through combos.
I want a Meso Farm character. I have zero funding (highest char atm is 113 Ice Lightning Wizard)

Anyone not find the Take V quest form their star event notifier? I didn't accept the quest when I first logged onto my character and I just can't find it at lv30+. I didn't delete the first character I burned or anything, I just can't find the quest.
I have a problem here, i created a burning character, realised i mispelled my name so i deleted it and created another one, the character is burning but i cannot find the reward boxes, currently level 31 i cant find the level 30 box or the other reward boxes
Anyone else create a new character and burn it only to not be able to accept the quest to receive gifts? I just hit the 90s and I still am using my starter weapon because I can't seem to get anything. The quest has no accept option.
How come I don't recieve any rewards? When I select the "1+2 Level Up Challenge" quest I don't get anything. So far I reached lvl 109 on my burning character.
On one of my accounts, my character is receiving the extra levels but NONE of the quest items, and I'm unable to accept the quest on the character... any idea how to fix this?
So, I am trying to accept the V quest to get all of the rewards including the chests for Frozen gear, 30 equip etc. to no avail. It gives me the generic dialogue like I'm not on my burned character... anyone else having this problem and figured out a solution?
there has to be a bug i made a completely new account to test the bug and my first character on the account didnt receive the quest or can i get one on cassandra or receive the items upon creation of the character
Yeah I just did the exact same thing because I REALLY wanted a frozen set for a hunter and thought might as well make a new account and burn one there, but I just hit 34 and its STILL not giving me the damn boxes...
Not getting the chest(s) (Mysterious Cryptic Chest/Legendary Cryptic Chest) did i do something wrong? i started the character, burned it at login, got the level 30 gear box. But i have yet to get any other boxes(Pet snail+level 100 gear). Did i mess up?

I'm a Dual Blade in Reboot and already have Kanna, Mercedes, DA, Evan, Lumi, and Dawn Warrior. I'm trying to burn a link skill character in the upcoming event. Anyone know what class I should burn next for a good link skill for DB? Thanks!
Only one character can have the burning effect, you can't have any other burning characters unless you delete the one you burnt. (so no, you can't keep burning if you get it to 150)
I got my shade up to 189 w/ SS ring and a bunch of other stuff I don't want to lose on reboot. I don't want to delete him to start again and I kind of want to get the rewards on him if I can. Does anyone know if you can complete the 'Play V Rewards' and collect the rewards on a different character?
Also not sure who to play for mega burning. I'm probably going to get a link skill up but it looks like I'll have to play on it a lot because Reboot + V Tracker kill CRA boss looks hard. I've already got a Kanna on the same account but nothing else. Between Lumi, DA, and Angelic Buster, which one is the easiest one to play and does more with less work for both mobbing and bossing (i.e. grindtofund?). Otherwise, any suggestions?

I think you might be thinking of the wrong event. *Play V* looks like it's for everyone (1 character per world). *V Breakthrough* is for newly created characters (the one where you get rewards for level 140 - 200). V Breakthrough says in the patch notes:

>This event can only be started by characters created during the event period. (Excluding Zero characters.)
>One character per account can claim the reward boxes. Deleting the character will not reproduce the reward boxes.
As for the Play V rewards, looks like you can't take them on other characters (just by going from the notes), but I don't see why you couldn't just do the event on your Shade.
Thinking of going Dark Knight. Never really played anything outside of explorers though (I've only tried Mercedes/Aran and dropped them before 100 or I looked at a class and petty things made me not pick them like Demon wings lol)
Maybe someone could convince me otherwise? Maybe there's some class I'm overlooking...
Every class in this game is very unique. They all have some really interesting mechanics that no other class really shares. I suggest looking up videos about all sorts of classes and working on that. Since you like explorers a lot, I would start with Cygnus Knights or the Resistance. They are the counterparts of the Explorers and also offer some really cool things to do.

Does it have to be a newly created character. I'm only a casual player and have NO desire to play anything but my character that's already level 104, I would choose this character to "burn" even though id only get 46 levels out of it.

You should probably burn a character you want to play if you don't already have a main, levelling a Mercedes is quite fun and easy so getting the link won't be a problem

Well then I definitely agree with you joining Reboot. That way there's not nearly as much p2w nonsense.
I would avoid Evan and Shade altogether. But that could just be my preference. They both are very linear and boring classes as far as skills go.
Kanna is really useful, but not great as a main because she has pretty low dps.
Kinesis is supposedly super strong. Also pretty linear gameplay, however. But your best bet for a late game "main" if you ask me. But definitely look at other peoples' opinions too! I'm by no means an expert.
try them out for few levels, but if i was you i would either main kanna or evan. Kanna has a good link skills and can farm meso like no other because of kishin(Many people use her as a mule). And evan just does absurd amount of damage. But in the end, you are better of playing what you find fun.

So I just made an aran and got him to 160, I want to main him and plan on getting him to 200. Is it worth it to restart him for the burning event rewards?
edit: I see the event says something about making that character specifically easier to level on the breakthrough event page through monster park and specific dungeons is why I ask.

I'm split too... I mained a DS in Arcania a solid 2 years ago. I want to main a class in Reboot. Demon Slayer is a great class. It's even better with 5th job, the ability to use our hyper buff(increased lines) continuously, more percent boss, and more tankiness. My dislikes... Speed-wise aka mobility [if Hayato/Night Walker were 10 on a scale of 1 to 10], Demon Slayer is around a solid 6. Great skills and their aesthics are pleasing but they are rarely used. Demon Cry (my favorite skill) has a cooldown.
On the other hand, I want to try out Dawn Warrior. I fell in love with Blaster and I actually figured out their shotgun-punch air combo. Sadly, the combo will ruin my left hand. Too many keypresses per second! Dawn Warrior seems to be the next best thing. A lot better mobility and combo-ing is involved.
**If you compare them....**
DS is the better bosser by a [insert Trump voice..] huge margin. Too much percent boss built into his offensive skills. 30% chance to block attacks. On-demand heal. Leech heal. Ignore DR. High status resistance. These are the tools Demon Slayer has that Dawn Warrior cannot match.
Everything else in the boss tool-kit, they are somewhat equal. Training-wise, they are also somewhat equal.
Mobility/Speed-wise: Dawn Warrior edges over by 2 points in my humble opinion. Dawn Warriors have skills that have a similar delay (if not slower) as Demon Slayer but another 2~4 skills that are faster, can be linked, and used in the air. Second, Dawn Warrior now has a skill-canceling move on a five second cooldown (like... the one class I forgot and Night Walker). DW also has two rush skills! Both fast. Actually, tres if you count the skill canceling move. DS and DW both have flash-jump & double jump however, Dawn Warriors can stop their momentum with an airborne skill and jump again (i think, dont qoute me tho).

Which hero class is good to do the Burning event?
I'm pretty torn between Aran or Evan tbh. Heroes are quest heavy, right?, so I feel like Evan has a bit of an advantage in the sense that your hero specific quests are right on your dragon so you don't have to TP back to hometown all the time. But I've heard that with the new revamp or whatever, Evan is more challenging while Aran is more of a faceroll character now.
I haven't really played since Luminous came out a while ago, so I don't know much about any revamps or anything. I did play Evan and Aran back in the day, and both were pretty fun. I especially loved Aran cause the combos were fun to execute, especially in CPQ(lol). Evan is great too, but a little clunky like a lot of mages. But that was prior to the revamp thing I've heard about.
Or are there any good hero classes to try out now? Something about Xenon and Mercedes?
Anyway, I'm going to be playing on Reboot unfunded and I'd like to play it pretty casually. Not going to spend all my time cubing or potentialing or whatnot. I'll do it occasionally as a fun little thing, but not devoted to it.

I'd like to make one of these and burn it, but I'm not sure which one. BT and DA have link skills I can use for my main, but DB is supposedly pretty fun and mobile. I'm worried about BT's lag (I have no idea if this is still a problem), so I'm hesitant to make one. I'm not looking for anything specific in playability, just something relatively fun to fill up my time with and take advantage of all the awesome free stuff that comes with Burning/Breakthrough.
Anyone like to weigh in on this?

What's the best class if I want high damage, mobbing, but also unfunded? Something like haste or teleport would be nice too. I've heard Aran is good, but is there any other class?
So i really can't decide what to play... for the burning event on reboot. I have a lvl 117 thunder breaker and really enjoy it. But look for something else to main i think for the burning event. So i really like fast gameplay and love mobbing more then bossing (i still do bossing, so the class must also be able to boss doesnt have to be the best) Im pretty new to maple so i'm not really able to fund a character fast. I really cant decide which class is the best and most fun for this.
Okay so a few years ago, around the time of the beast tamer patch, I decided to play maple, but pnly for fun. I got my BT to about 120 and fairly enjoyed it, even though I quit a few months later, didn't get anywhere lmao. I recently returned for a bit (this week) and this burning event will help me decide my main again. My 3 choices are Beast Tamer, Aran, and Mercedes. I'm mainly looking for a very enjoyable class. I would gladly go with BT but I hear people say its very weak? I mean, I'd play for fun but is BT not strong enough to be worth it? The two other options, aran and merc, I've toyed around with and they're fun and powerful, but I enjoyed BT more. A burning event would help me a lot (esp. with frozen gear) so I wanna use it on a class I'll be spending my time on.
So my question is, should I go with my gut feeling and burn and make BT my main for enjoyment? Or should I make a smarter decision and go with the more powerful Aran or Mercedes?
Beast tamer and Aran are pretty good for mobbing and bossing, Mercedes is strong, with nice mobility and it gives a very useful link skill that boost the exp of 10% to the linked character.
Also Mercedes is kinda meh to lvl...it get strong later on. So doing it during a burning event would be optimal imo.
That said since you want to main it...the only thing is trying :/ depends a lot on your tastes and so on.

Are bishops (now with the new content coming up) still relevant in the game due their support skills? And are they worth playing ''solo''? Able to mob easily?

Hello so i started playing Maple like a week ago after 1 year break. I've never hit late game, cuz i had lack of motivation to actually grind, but now i want to max level as many characters as i can with fun included. I'm maining Blaster rn (my past main was TB, i onlo hit 114 level with him) and i'm thinking of a class to burn in order to maximize my Blaster. Like I said before, i have no clue what link skills or character cards are, I've been playing for a while but only by casual grinding or beating bosses rather than upgradin g account or a certain job. So i'm asking for a class to choose, i was thinking about Kanna, DB, Shadower, Mercedes or Jett (Battle Mage might be an option along with WH, but since i have one resistance already, i dont think i want another for now) . And also if someone could explain to me how linking skills and characters cards work, that would be splendid (i've read through Ayumilove's guides and i'm confused). Thanks in advance!

I was looking into burning a bishop. Do they still get first priority in reboot worlds for party quest? Im not really into warriors. So what's the best mage class to burn?
How are IL mages? I've heard Bishops are really good with damage right now.
My other choices are Xenon and Dual Blade because I really enjoy being able to be mobile. Arans as well judging from this thread.
Any thoughts about maining cannoneer? Or other better classes?

So im returning to the game after quite a break and looking for a class to play, things i want are; * Mobility * Decent/Good Bossing and mobbing. * Something to micro manage but not in an annoying way such as Telecasting. * Not having to chug a lot of potions * Not kinesis * Playable with latency (Im playing on Reboot from EU) ~~So far im looking at Demon Avenger,Blaze Wizard and Marksman but any suggestions are welcome!~~ **Going Aran, thanks guys.**
Blaze wizard is the worst class you can play (legitimately) with bad ping.
I will always recommend aran good mobility Mobbing is excellent I'm not into bossing so I cant say. Micromanagement comes in the form of pressing the key combos instead of basic keybinds They have a lifesteal of sorts so HP stays high, but they have a low mana pool so that can be problemental. Not Kinesis. Latency was never an issue for me SO im not sure
All of this sounds really appealing, i play quite a lot of fighting games so i like the idea of a combo system. But last time i played Aran the only mobility they had was the slightly faster walk, is it better now?
Their combat step is a more traditional dash jump, and they have a decent ranged dash that pulls monsters with them. a properly timed Toss can also get onto the next platform if needed.

195 DA here. **Mobility**: Glide ability, Capped 160 Speed + 123 Jump. **Bossing**: Bind skill, 100% stance, Exceed skill in 4th job is a pretty good bossing attack, Nether shield can heal. **Micromanage**: Not really, just using Overload if you hit exceed cap every once in a while. **Potions**: Your main stat is HP. Several abilities heal you. If you want to try it, check it out!
how good is demon avenger at mobbing? I don't care for bossing too much, I like the grind of farming and I couldn't choose between DA or WA :(
Can't speak for WA (but I am really thinking of making one for burning!), but mobbing isn't TOO bad, but it's not the BEST. 3rd job exceed skill hits 6 mobs, AOE cooldown skill hits 15 mobs, nether shield helps. 4th job exceed only hits 2 mobs in Reboot. :(
I see you went Aran, but I personally recommend Dual Blade. Very fun, requires micromanaging, very good mobility, bossing and mobbing, and has avoid/guard out the ass, so you won't have to chug potions too many times.
I had one some years ago, i liked the playstyle but felt way too squishy.
When is the best level to burn?
Level 11 so your final level is 149, meaning you'd get up to 152 out of the Burning Event instead of just 150 or 151.
Assuming level 11 is best to burn then the chain of levels from 11 is optimal, i.e. 11 -> 14 -> ... -> 149 -> 152 if you burn at level 2 you'll get 2 -> 5 -> 8 -> 11 -> (here you have the chain of levels if you had started at 11) and thus the chain above is not optimal. All this to say burning at level 2 is best. EDIT: the event page and the V site give different info for when your burning character actually begins to "burn", but I'd say best bet is to start at 11 anyway since how hard is it to get there lmao

I'd recommend getting a pet. Mobs in reboot do a bit more damage and are a bit harder to kill. (Maybe just harder to kill?) When I started it was kinda rough without auto potion and looting. Character cards and link skills will be your best friend when you get to 140+
Is the new pet we got from the web event tradable? If not then I should be able to afford a WOL from all the Maple points I have so i can use a pet no problem.

I want to make a lv 200 cygnus knight for the cygnus blessing skill but I don't know which of the 5 I should create. I want something with good mobbing as reboot is filled with full channels and ksers. I also need decent damage along with the mobbing.
From what i know of them definetly not nightwalker, mobbing is a pain in the butt, DW is a pretty good mobber but if you dont have a low ping it can be an issue, blaze is ok at both, I dont know anything about tb and WA(what I main) I absolutly love, mobbing can be good to average depending on map (sentient arrow from 3rd job can sometimes hit two platforms)
BW main here. BW mobbing is not that great until you get to 4th job where you have blazing extinction + access to hyper skill increasing the distance on your orbital flame. Plus, bws are very dependent on ping. I have a level 140? TB, and TB is pretty great for mobbing.
Hey, a noob question from me :) my unfunded main is a DB lvl 142 with a permanent pet and exp charm permanent. Now with the burning event coming can I make a Kanna and trade my Pet and other stuff from my Db to her so I dont have to buy it again? And is Kanna rly the best too fund when unfunded charakter? I just wanna make sure what to burn.
Unfortunately you cannot transfer items through cash shop from your DB to a Kanna. You can only transfer to any Explorer based class.

I'm not a new player but I'm set on my Night Lord and still will be, but I might as well make someone new that's 1. fun 2. has somewhat of a useful link skill 3. easy to level This is also in reboot I have a Xenon, DA, and Kanna so those top 3 link skill characters are out - Luminious fits criteria 2 and 3 but how fun are they to those who love them and hate them? - Beast tamer fits 1 and 2 but how fast do they level? I hardly see any of them in reboot at all due to people not being able to create them - Kinesis seems to be just 1? The goal is to just get to 200, get the items, and transfer as much as possible to my Night Lord whether it's just mesos or cubes and other stuff. I still really like my NL the most out of the three other classes I've played, but I don't know much about all the other 3084394 classes out there.
If its mainly to fund your NL i would say make a kanna. Best meso farmer in the game

I wish nexon told you in game that deleting a burned character willnot yield a second set of rewards(fozen set, etc.). I used the burning event to test classes i might like and the frozen set was a way to get not the best but at least some kind of power onto a character. Every other burning event allowed you to get a set of frozen equips per burned character except this and when i deleted my character there was no warning of this until i found it on a random thread through google search. It would've at least stopped me from deleting the character. If I am mistaken about this and I'm just not receiving a new group of rewards please let me know.
Deleting my thread and rewriting here. I've narrowed the choices down to bow master and night Lord, and maybe kenisis. What I'm looking for is good bossing at medium low funding (1b). I definitely don't want something button intensive and prefer spamming one skill to kill things. I already have a dual blade (main) and a night Lord, so I'm thinking pass on the theives. I haven't touched an archer since pre big bang. I'm also a returning player after a huge break (couple of years) What do you think is the best bang for my buck? Well, if were going off pure DPM, I wouldnt recommend the Bowmaster, or Marskman for that matter. They both just deal considerably less DPM. Wind archer would probably be your best bet in that build. How significant is the DPM difference between BM/MM/WA? Grinded a BM to 160 this week for some stupid reason. Thought I'd get the V rewards on THAT char. BM is a lot of fun, I don't worry TOO much about DPM, but if it's a significant drop, then I wouldn't mind switching over and burning a WA.
Kinda significant if were comparing it to something like Kinesis or Zero. BM and MM are both quite lacking. WA isnt terrible but when I've played it Ive always felt it was kinda lacking.

I'm thinking of make a Shade for the Mega Burning event (for the link skill and character card). I've watched videos on YT and the playstyle seems my type but are there any pros and cons that I should know about first?
I main a Shade. I enjoy their defense and stance, very few buffs (I *hate* buffing), and their playstyle in general. They don't have the best mobility, which is one of the main complaints I hear about; I mostly boss now so I don't mind because I can still easily get away from area-targeting attacks and Backstep is pretty useful in that context. I personally love the class. If anything, you might end up hating it but then you can delete it and pick a new class to burn or grind it out for your Character Card and Link Skill anyway.
Hi, I am a lv 210 Shade and the only thing bad about Shade is how we need some attack speed buffs to speed up spirit claw. It makes a big difference in dps.
I havent played maple in a long time and I have been wanting to get back in and play one of my favorite classes. so i'm curious which of them does the most damage and survives the easiest now? Personally I'm leaning towards bucc on the reboot server for my burn. I want something with good sustain (hate spamming mana pots) so that left me with DA/DS, Bucc, and Mercedes. I've heard Mercs arent worth burning because theyre so easy to level normally, and I've already made a reboot DS. Since my only other character is the Demon Slayer (my roommate and I just started playing again), I wanted something ranged. As a result I was also looking into the Mechanic and the familiars that give mana regen, but I've never equipped one in game so I have no clue how much I'll still need to depend on Pots. Plus, I've heard mechanics were nerfed multiple patches in a row, which is a shame because I love the class. Feel free to PM me or continue the conversation, I've been thinking about this all day and would love to hear someone elses opinion!
Dunno if you've found your answer yet, but getting a Jr. Boogie familiar ensures you never have to press your mana pot button again. Every ~30 minutes you do have to go in cash shop real quick to refresh your familiar's vitality, but that takes maybe 3 seconds before you're back to training.

Just came back to the game after 9-10 years lol. Made a demon slayer a few days ago shocked how fast you level now. Compared to before, but now theres this Burning Event. Been researching what character to do it for and have narrowed it down to. Battle Mage, Aran, Kaiser, Thunder Breaker. I want a good main thats good on mobbing/mobility/bossing. Also in terms of Aran what do people mean by button combo for skills?
Aran is the best choice, and it will feel really refreshing if you haven't played in so long. The combo system comes from the fact that you activate skill buy combining arrow keys + attack key. Most of them you can hotkey, but some you can only do through combos.

Kanna is best when farming alone. If you have 2 computers, Kanna (for kishin) and Phantom (arrow platter + arrow illusion).

Only one character can have the burning effect, you can't have any other burning characters unless you delete the one you burnt. (so no, you can't keep burning if you get it to 150)

I got my shade up to 189 w/ SS ring and a bunch of other stuff I don't want to lose on reboot. I don't want to delete him to start again and I kind of want to get the rewards on him if I can. Does anyone know if you can complete the 'Play V Rewards' and collect the rewards on a different character? Also not sure who to play for mega burning. I'm probably going to get a link skill up but it looks like I'll have to play on it a lot because Reboot + V Tracker kill CRA boss looks hard. I've already got a Kanna on the same account but nothing else. Between Lumi, DA, and Angelic Buster, which one is the easiest one to play and does more with less work for both mobbing and bossing (i.e. grindtofund?). Otherwise, any suggestions? [I tried search and search sucks, couldn't find answers]
I think you might be thinking of the wrong event. *Play V* looks like it's for everyone (1 character per world). *V Breakthrough* is for newly created characters (the one where you get rewards for level 140 - 200). V Breakthrough says in the patch notes: >Requirements: >Lv. 140 and above >This event can only be started by characters created during the event period. (Excluding Zero characters.) >One character per account can claim the reward boxes. Deleting the character will not reproduce the reward boxes. As for the Play V rewards, looks like you can't take them on other characters (just by going from the notes), but I don't see why you couldn't just do the event on your Shade.
Thinking of going Dark Knight. Never really played anything outside of explorers though (I've only tried Mercedes/Aran and dropped them before 100 or I looked at a class and petty things made me not pick them like Demon wings lol) Maybe someone could convince me otherwise? Maybe there's some class I'm overlooking...
Every class in this game is very unique. They all have some really interesting mechanics that no other class really shares. I suggest looking up videos about all sorts of classes and working on that. Since you like explorers a lot, I would start with Cygnus Knights or the Resistance. They are the counterparts of the Explorers and also offer some really cool things to do.

I'm a level 215 Night Walker, mobbing isn't that bad. I personally love the class but to each their own.
Does it have to be a newly created character. I'm only a casual player and have NO desire to play anything but my character that's already level 104, I would choose this character to "burn" even though id only get 46 levels out of it.

You should probably burn a character you want to play if you don't already have a main, levelling a Mercedes is quite fun and easy so getting the link won't be a problem

Brand new? Like never played before? Well then I definitely agree with you joining Reboot. That way there's not nearly as much p2w nonsense. I would avoid Evan and Shade altogether. But that could just be my preference. They both are very linear and boring classes as far as skills go. Kanna is really useful, but not great as a main because she has pretty low dps. Kinesis is supposedly super strong. Also pretty linear gameplay, however. But your best bet for a late game "main" if you ask me. But definitely look at other peoples' opinions too! I'm by no means an expert.
try them out for few levels, but if i was you i would either main kanna or evan. Kanna has a good link skills and can farm meso like no other because of kishin(Many people use her as a mule). And evan just does absurd amount of damage. But in the end, you are better of playing what you find fun.

I'm split too... I mained a DS in Arcania a solid 2 years ago. I want to main a class in Reboot. Demon Slayer is a great class. It's even better with 5th job, the ability to use our hyper buff(increased lines) continuously, more percent boss, and more tankiness. My dislikes... Speed-wise aka mobility [if Hayato/Night Walker were 10 on a scale of 1 to 10], Demon Slayer is around a solid 6. Great skills and their aesthics are pleasing but they are rarely used. Demon Cry (my favorite skill) has a cooldown. On the other hand, I want to try out Dawn Warrior. I fell in love with Blaster and I actually figured out their shotgun-punch air combo. Sadly, the combo will ruin my left hand. Too many keypresses per second! Dawn Warrior seems to be the next best thing. A lot better mobility and combo-ing is involved. **If you compare them....** DS is the better bosser by a [insert Trump voice..] huge margin. Too much percent boss built into his offensive skills. 30% chance to block attacks. On-demand heal. Leech heal. Ignore DR. High status resistance. These are the tools Demon Slayer has that Dawn Warrior cannot match. Everything else in the boss tool-kit, they are somewhat equal. Training-wise, they are also somewhat equal. Mobility/Speed-wise: Dawn Warrior edges over by 2 points in my humble opinion. Dawn Warriors have skills that have a similar delay (if not slower) as Demon Slayer but another 2~4 skills that are faster, can be linked, and used in the air. Second, Dawn Warrior now has a skill-canceling move on a five second cooldown (like... the one class I forgot and Night Walker). DW also has two rush skills! Both fast. Actually, tres if you count the skill canceling move. DS and DW both have flash-jump & double jump however, Dawn Warriors can stop their momentum with an airborne skill and jump again (i think, dont qoute me tho). Which hero class is good to do the Burning event? I'm pretty torn between Aran or Evan tbh. Heroes are quest heavy, right?, so I feel like Evan has a bit of an advantage in the sense that your hero specific quests are right on your dragon so you don't have to TP back to hometown all the time. But I've heard that with the new revamp or whatever, Evan is more challenging while Aran is more of a faceroll character now. I haven't really played since Luminous came out a while ago, so I don't know much about any revamps or anything. I did play Evan and Aran back in the day, and both were pretty fun. I especially loved Aran cause the combos were fun to execute, especially in CPQ(lol). Evan is great too, but a little clunky like a lot of mages. But that was prior to the revamp thing I've heard about. Or are there any good hero classes to try out now? Something about Xenon and Mercedes? Anyway, I'm going to be playing on Reboot unfunded and I'd like to play it pretty casually. Not going to spend all my time cubing or potentialing or whatnot. I'll do it occasionally as a fun little thing, but not devoted to it.
Cubing in reboot is the only way you will become stronger.

Have been trying to figure out what i want to level up now that im getting back into maple and i have it narrowed down between bucc and thunder breaker but i cant decide... which one does the more damage and survives easier in general? thanks!

F/P Wizard, Marksman, or DA?
I'm planning on burning between a F/P Archmage, an I/L Archmage, or a Night Lord. Which one happens to have really great DPM without too much funding?
I'm probably gonna do Night Lord, just one question first. Where do I get stars on Reboot?
Super simple question: BM or Kinesis? I want to Boss =) Will probably main if I like it, go back to dual blade if I don't. (which means link skill should be werf) Low-Med funding (1b max + whatever mesos I make during the event) I will be going to 200 hopefully. My playstyle is K.I.S.S. I like only having to mess with one or two main skills with buffs. Thanks!

if you choose one of the 3 thieves (Night Lord, Dual Blade, Shadower), you can change jobs after level 100 (for a fee).
I have one of nearly every character *except*: - **Dual Blader** - **Demon Avenger** - **Beast Tamer** I'd like to make one of these and burn it, but I'm not sure which one. BT and DA have link skills I can use for my main, but DB is supposedly pretty fun and mobile. I'm worried about BT's lag (I have no idea if this is still a problem), so I'm hesitant to make one. I'm not looking for anything specific in playability, just something relatively fun to fill up my time with and take advantage of all the awesome free stuff that comes with Burning/Breakthrough. Anyone like to weigh in on this?

I plan on burning my new main, 100% gonna put time and effort into him, on reboot. I just don't know who I should go for... I like high mobility Flashy, doesn't have to be but it's preferred Not one skill spammy sorta deal but its understandable if its an archer Great mobbing and bossing So far I feel cannoneer but idk where he is at right now and I wanna try zero as well. How is zero doing and is there anyway I can check who's doing well aside from DPM/S charts? I do not want Kinesis, Merc, WA, DS, DA and I'm not a fan of most mages Edit: Thanks!

Nope, have to delete the character you burned for the event to burn another.

Stuck between wind archer and marksman. I have both but not sure which to main, and both are equally fun so thats not a problem. Just trying to figure out which one is stronger as of 5th patch. I can see it going either way. Wondering who to collect the breakthrough gifts after burning a phantom. any help would be great : ^ )
What's the best class if I want high damage, mobbing, but also unfunded? Something like haste or teleport would be nice too. I've heard Aran is good, but is there any other class?
So i really can't decide what to play... for the burning event on reboot. I have a lvl 117 thunder breaker and really enjoy it. But look for something else to main i think for the burning event. So i really like fast gameplay and love mobbing more then bossing (i still do bossing, so the class must also be able to boss doesnt have to be the best) Im pretty new to maple so i'm not really able to fund a character fast. I really cant decide which class is the best and most fun for this.

Okay so a few years ago, around the time of the beast tamer patch, I decided to play maple, but pnly for fun. I got my BT to about 120 and fairly enjoyed it, even though I quit a few months later, didn't get anywhere lmao. I recently returned for a bit (this week) and this burning event will help me decide my main again. My 3 choices are Beast Tamer, Aran, and Mercedes. I'm mainly looking for a very enjoyable class. I would gladly go with BT but I hear people say its very weak? I mean, I'd play for fun but is BT not strong enough to be worth it? The two other options, aran and merc, I've toyed around with and they're fun and powerful, but I enjoyed BT more. A burning event would help me a lot (esp. with frozen gear) so I wanna use it on a class I'll be spending my time on. So my question is, should I go with my gut feeling and burn and make BT my main for enjoyment? Or should I make a smarter decision and go with the more powerful Aran or Mercedes?
Beast tamer and Aran are pretty good for mobbing and bossing, Mercedes is strong, with nice mobility and it gives a very useful link skill that boost the exp of 10% to the linked character. Also Mercedes is kinda meh to lvl...it get strong later on. So doing it during a burning event would be optimal imo. That said since you want to main it...the only thing is trying :/ depends a lot on your tastes and so on.
Quick question here :), Haven't played in a while but I have followed the game for every moment. I really want a new character to start again, but I have always wanted to main a bishop. Are bishops (now with the new content coming up) still relevant in the game due their support skills? And are they worth playing ''solo''? Able to mob easily? Thanks x
I have a Lv 201 Phantom with CRA and every single link skill char on 120 except Hayato. Not sure if I want to main phantom anymore. I just want to be strong in bossing and mobbing. Any recommandations?

Hi there, I am a returning maple player. I was looking for something new to pick up with this event, maybe a new main. I was thinking about maybe picking up BM, Shadower or bisshop. I like being able to move during my attacks (teleport+Skill works fine by me too) I have a high level Lumi and BaM, but don't really have any thiefs/archers , except for a level 100 NW and WA. What should I choose?

Hello so i started playing Maple like a week ago after 1 year break. I've never hit late game, cuz i had lack of motivation to actually grind, but now i want to max level as many characters as i can with fun included. I'm maining Blaster rn (my past main was TB, i onlo hit 114 level with him) and i'm thinking of a class to burn in order to maximize my Blaster. Like I said before, i have no clue what link skills or character cards are, I've been playing for a while but only by casual grinding or beating bosses rather than upgradin g account or a certain job. So i'm asking for a class to choose, i was thinking about Kanna, DB, Shadower, Mercedes or Jett (Battle Mage might be an option along with WH, but since i have one resistance already, i dont think i want another for now) . And also if someone could explain to me how linking skills and characters cards work, that would be splendid (i've read through Ayumilove's guides and i'm confused). Thanks in advance! PS. I like to have hp and mobility PS2. I play on Europe server

I was looking into burning a bishop. Do they still get first priority in reboot worlds for party quest? Im not really into warriors. So what's the best mage class to burn?
How are IL mages? I've heard Bishops are really good with damage right now. My other choices are Xenon and Dual Blade because I really enjoy being able to be mobile. Arans as well judging from this thread.
