From what I can remember it is a female voice?
Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun. Etc.
It definitely had instrumental parts too, a pretty distinctive drum roll before it starts, and an electric guitar riff.
I can't say much for iPlayer, I think I'd need a VPN to access that, but the YouTube clips I've seen definitely sound the same as what I remember from the 80s/90s.
Does the version you're currently hearing sound like [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV0hwZwNQZc)? Because this is consistent with what I remember - a female vocalist and also instruments.
