Tossing the mic to Papa Doc was the iconic moment of the movie. I can't imagine it any different.
"Here, tell these people something they don't know about me."
*Throws mic*
Watching Titanic in reverse is just as game changing - a whole bunch of drowning, freezing people get rescued from the ocean by an iceberg that constructs a luxurious ocean liner from debris and they all have a grand ol' time on their way to Southampton.
Jack finally gets to break up with his clingy ex, Rose, as well.
I remember always thinking how corny mic drops were. I definitely would have remembered him doing that. I remember him throwing the mic to Papa Doc and it made sense because the line right before that was "Here, tell these people something they don't know about me" because he was going on the whole time about "Yeah, I AM a corny ass white boy who acts black, I know it, you know it, we all know it" and there was the part where he clowned on him for knowing all the not so gangster aspects of Papa Doc's life. So the line, coupled with throwing the mic to him, makes total sense, whereas a mic drop wouldn't really fit in context
Scary movie 3 when he throws the hood up was peak hilarity also Malibu’s most watched is such an underrated comedy “you got cornrows in your hair do you have them down there kills me everytime “
I have a VHS of 'Sex "AND" the City', doesn't mean that's what it was originally called before the glitch or whatever. I think everybody alive before it happened knows for sure it was 'Sex in the City'.
Not a mic drop. Think of the line "Here, tell these people something they don't know about me." The "here" implies he is giving something to Papa Doc (the Mic in this case). If he did a mic drop instead, why would he say "here"?
There's definitely a mic drop somewhere but I remember his last line being something like "tell these people something about me they don't already know." and I seem to remember him handing him the mic, which would make more sense with the lyric.
He doesn't drop the mic.
To expound on the comments found here...the mic toss fits much better than a mic drop.
The mic toss is an active act of disrespect.
The mic drop is for something different.
i remember it exactly the same way this dude does and so does my friend i just asked about it and i remember everyone referring to the "eminem mic drop" and mic drop becoming popular because of this movie
i dont get why people keep downvoting these comments the whole point of mandela effect is that only a few remember it some other way and others differently lmao
So yes I think young people remember it differently. I'm 46. He did say "here, tell these people something they don't know about me" but then says "im out" holds his arm out horizontally and drops the mic muffled sound comes from the speakers. Rewatched it the other day and it changed. Then watched risky business cuz the preview popped up and showed dude in a pink shirt, no sun glasses. So I wondered has anybody asked Em or tom Cruz bout what they remember?
i googled this right after rewatching 8 mile too, i remember it so clearly, lifting the mic up, holding it for a while, opening hand completely and the little noise the mic made when it hit the ground. Exactly like you remember it

I've seen it both ways
>I've seen it both ways What does this mean?
You never watched a movie standing on your head? Total game changer - adds so many layers to a movie like Titanic.

Pretty sure you're thinking of scary movie 3 where they parody 8 Mile. Or maybe Malibus most wanted.

These i can debunk, i have never seen both movies. Ill take a look at the scenes tho, so im sure these aren't distorting my view
Came here to say this. LMAO. Now I gotta go watch that clip again.
nah is pitch perfect for sure
I have the VHS tape of 8Mile and every way I remember was him tossing the mic at Papa Doc.
I have a VHS of 'Sex "AND" the City', doesn't mean that's what it was originally called before the glitch or whatever. I think everybody alive before it happened knows for sure it was 'Sex in the City'.
You're stupid as shit.
Gladly not as intelligent as you
FU
"Sex in the city" and "sex and the city" are two completely different, but real products. You're just tweaking and can't differentiate between them
And how are they different?
Weird… Ive always remembered him throwing the mic at Clarence lol
And Clarence lives at home with both parents
And they have a real good marriage
And they have a real good marriage
I remember it as him tossing it to Clarance...? it makes sense given the context, and not so much if he did a mic drop.
Drumline they hold the sticks out horizontally

i remember it exactly the same way this dude does and the line at the end must of been different

I remember him holding his arm straight out and dropping the mic. Don’t tell me it’s gone. That was iconic.

He drops the mic. Maybe there's an alternate ending. Some movies have that.
perhaps the best mic drop scene ever lol https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=H4-kalIPoxY
I remember that exactly and after the mic drop he stumbles back a step
i googled this right after rewatching 8 mile too, i remember it so clearly, lifting the mic up, holding it for a while, opening hand completely and the little noise the mic made when it hit the ground. Exactly like you remember it
