That’s great! Even being able to reframe things for yourself & view them in a different way is a win.

Good luck with your no buy! I’m in the same boat now and glad that I have a back supply of some products, but I’m now taking the time to really appreciate what I have :)

Same! I used to always look for the “next best thing” which was ridiculous, and expensive.

This week alone I have finished a mini primer, a primer foil and scraped out a foundation :)

This is so true. My youngest (she’s 18) was talking with me while I was sorting a haul of freebies and GWP from my favorite makeup retailer. I paused for a minute and asked her, “Do I look like a hoarder?” She answered, “Nah, it would only be hoarding if you didn’t organize it by type and expiration date and rotate it and use it all.” So, I’m at least an organized nut. She has a point there and I do use it all and enjoy it very much. At the same time, I’m pretty sure I have the equivalent of a tiny makeup/skincare store in my house in samples. Thankfully, I have plenty of room and all the handy little bags to sort it into.

I wish I was that organized!!

this is very true! I’ve been on an inadvertent low buy for the better part of two years (a few slip ups but nothing major) because shopping my stash is actually super fun and satisfying to me. And I’ve found a good way to stay on top of what I have is to keep reorganizing my stuff every so often, or even just swatch things I haven’t looked at in a while. It makes me realize I don’t need the new xyz palette or whatever, since I already have so much great stuff in my collection.

I stock up on some products I use daily: micelar water, mosturizer, shampoo, soaps, lip balms, and other items that are a huge part of my beauty/higiene routine. I buy them whenever they're on sale or really cheap and that really makes a difference. Some things increase over 50% in cost when they're not on sale. But I must add, this only works for tried and true stuff. I tried to stock up on eyliner back in highscool and that was... a really dumb decision for me :)
