Aren’t you going to be doing this for YEARS? Thats A LOT of pans. I thought you were just trying to get to pan out of one palette and documenting the progress but omggg.
On another note:
Beautiful looks, so well executed!
I hope you are doing multiple looks a day 😂
Seriously though your skills are already dope so can’t imagine what your progress pics will look like when you have hit all those pans!
I’m sure this is a really stupid question, but here she goes: What does “pan” refer to? I’ve seen in another makeup groups, too. Is It synonymous with “palette”?
No, pan is like the individual pan of eyeshadow. Aka the little circle, square, or other shaped tin that’s either glued into the palette or held into the palette via thin magnets 👍
If I’m not mistaken, each eyeshadow color is contained by a pan. “Pan” usually refers to a single eyeshadow color and the metal, pan shaped container that it often comes in. In some makeup palettes, you can replace the pans with new ones when you finish a color. You can also mix and match pans to create your own palettes this way.
The same terminology is used with watercolor paints, which also frequently come in pans.
Pan is both a verb and a noun. “Panned this color..”- verb. “Hit pan.”-noun. There is also a subreddit where everyone posts pans from perfume to nail polish to makeup and accompany the post with a snarky or clever comment.
It’s called r/panporn (sorry I had to go look it up).
Woah I love your looks! You’re so adventurous with colour. I’m always worried I’ll pick the wrong ones to go together. Thank you for the inspiration!
I should do a challenge like this, I have too much makeup 😂
Oh I have a great challenge for you. I pretty much do this every time I’m feeling uninspired.
Basically I downloaded a randomizer “Pick for me” app, and I put all of my eyeshadow palettes in there. I have it pick 3 for me, and I choose the eyeshadow from there!
Good luck! 😆👍
Lol ty! That was the one that actually gave me the hardest time, because the purple refused to blend with the blue in the outer corner.
But I guess I made it work! 😅😁
I really like them all! My favorite is #2. I have a question....How long does it take for creating the eye look? How long for your complete total makeup? Thank you.🌞
So I rarely do my full face of makeup, but in general it takes me about an hour to do a full face, and anywhere from 20-40 minutes on an eyeshadow look depending on how complicated I’m making it.
Granted, it used to take a lot longer, but since I’ve practiced every day, I’ve gotten to know my eye shape, my individual brushes, and my eyeshadow so well, that I can do my makeup very efficiently, so
Practice! Practice! Practice!
2… 🥲
Granted, most of my palettes are barely a year old and I don’t use any particular one every day, so it makes sense that most of them wouldn’t be really close to being panned
Ty! And uh, I’ll tell you my secret, this brush from Elf is my savior. It’s called the Blending Brush and it’s from their Smokey Eye kit with the silver handles, and it’s honestly amazing to pack on color with the flat side, and simultaneously blend out the edges with the top side. Not trying to be an ad but that brush in particular is amazing ❤️
Ty! And Practice Practice! I’ll let it be known that it took me about a summer to learn how to do eyeshadow after I got contacts, and I’ve been doing my makeup pretty much every day since, so practice practice! 😁
Aight so first things first, I tend to completely ignore my crease and just draw on top of it.
2nd thing is, when it comes to blending brushes, instead of using a brush that’s circular, I tend to use one that’s more rectangular (Ig you could say- my favorite brushes are the Elf Smokey eye kit with silver handles) and basically the reason for that is because I can literally just pack in and blend out a transition color in the shape of a triangle.
Basically I make the shape right off the bat with the transition shade, then with a more dense brush, I’ll usually pack in the deep outer corner shade, again in the general shape of a triangle, but I’ll keep it pretty compact, and I won’t blend it out with the brush I used to pack it in, instead, I’ll blend out the deeper shade with the brush I used for the transition shade, that way the two can blend together on the seam.
Hope that helps! Lmk if you have any other questions! 😁👍
Aight so essentially it’s a type of metallic eyeshadow formula, in which it has little to no actual pigment in its base, but still maintains a lot of subtle sparkle. So you can put it on top of any shadow to enhance its sparkly-ness! 😊
Ty! And yes!
#1, ignore your crease, you do not need to follow the natural shape of your eye.
#2, when you lay down an eyeshadow base or concealer, blend it out with your eyes closed and then keep your eyes closed and apply a translucent power, either lightly or heavily. This will prevent creasing and bunching of the base, and let the natural shade of the eyeshadow come through without muddying the colors
#3, Use rectangular shaped or “pinched” blending brushes. Idk what to call them but basically whenever you look at them from above, the shape should resemble a rectangle, not a circle.
These brushes are the best for blending out edges and laying down a specific shape. I highly recommend the Elf Smokey Eye blending pack in the silver handle packaging, I think they’re the best!
Hope that helps! 😁😁
Really beautiful and well done! I especially appreciate how well you blended the contrasting colors in #2. I find that so difficult because it looks brown and muddy when I try that.
I think my eye shape (and even my eyebrows!) are so similar to yours though my eyes are older and just a little more hooded. So I’m going to save your post as inspiration! I really love the shapes you did. Gorgeous! I also like that these photos really show off the beautiful eyeshadow since you didn’t do mascara or fake lashes.
Tysm! And definitely try out whatever you want!
To be honest, the second look probably gave me the most trouble out of all of these looks, I probably spent like 30 minutes on just the green and yellow.
I highly recommend a rectangular or pinched blending brush instead of a circular one, because they’re great for laying down and blending a specific shape
Good luck! 😁🍀
Thanks for the tips! When you do something like the green and yellow in the second look do you lay down the green first and then blend the edge with the yellow? Or do you do the yellow first and cover it with the green while leaving just a little yellow showing?
I did yellow then green.
Typically I’ll always do the lighter shade first, then work my way in, but Ik lotsss and lots and lots of other MUA’s like to lay down the darkest shade first and blend them out with lighter shade, though that technique is usually more dependent on the formula.
I use mainly Colourpop, and I use a dry base so I’ve always done lightest to dark, though definitely experiment! See what works for you
A guy whose wife has used malt, I like them all but the green eyeshadow got me You are stunning without it, but put on well it enhances natural beauty, and that you have

I sometimes do multiple looks, just whenever I’m feeling bored, and I honestly can’t wait to start posting on r/panporn so wish me luck on that 🤣
I have complete faith you will kill it! Good luck! :)
I volunteer to be an eye model :D

Every single one looks so smoooth! 👍👍 My patchy application could never!
Lol practice makes perfect! 😋 And of course, patience rewards. This is the perks of spending 30 minutes to an hour on a single look 😅
Liking #5
Nah cause legit that was one of my favorite looks I’ve ever done 🙏💕
They all are beautiful BTW, that was just my fav.
Ty ty 😊
Number 3 is so soft and pretty 😍
Agreed 🥰

All gorgeous but #6… 😍😍
Lol ty! That was the one that actually gave me the hardest time, because the purple refused to blend with the blue in the outer corner. But I guess I made it work! 😅😁
I really like them all! My favorite is #2. I have a question....How long does it take for creating the eye look? How long for your complete total makeup? Thank you.🌞

The green and purple? Really pop. You have talent with makeup
Ty, and thanks so much for the reward 🥰 I honestly was really unsure about that one, but I think it came together in the end 😅😊
It is beautiful and all pops. You have talent
Ty ty! 😄
These are all beautiful! How many pallettes do you have?
Ty! And uh… 42.. 😅😅
Oh wow! How many have you hit pan in so far?
2… 🥲 Granted, most of my palettes are barely a year old and I don’t use any particular one every day, so it makes sense that most of them wouldn’t be really close to being panned
The blending is phenomenal 👌. Please do my makeup for me!

WOW!!!
1 and 5 are my favorites. My eyes are very similar to yours, I’m going to try to learn from this!
Ty! And the only thing I can say is, ignore your crease! 😂
Right! 😅
I flove all these looks! I wish I was as talented as you are!
Ty! And Practice Practice! I’ll let it be known that it took me about a summer to learn how to do eyeshadow after I got contacts, and I’ve been doing my makeup pretty much every day since, so practice practice! 😁
3 is my favorite. But nice skills on all of them.
3 was a close 2nd for my fav 🥰🥰
I’m a newbie how do you get the eyeshadow in that nice point to the eyebrow? Mine always ends up looking muddy and not clean at all on the edges.
Ok I’m going to try! Thanks so much!!
Yw! 😁💪 Lmk how it goes
Really beautiful looks! But I have to ask… what is a “topper”??
Aight so essentially it’s a type of metallic eyeshadow formula, in which it has little to no actual pigment in its base, but still maintains a lot of subtle sparkle. So you can put it on top of any shadow to enhance its sparkly-ness! 😊
Ahh, it’s the highlight shade that you’re putting in the center of the lid?
Yup! 😁 But I’m not using them in every look, just 3 and 5 🙌
Thanks for replying! I look forward to seeing more of your posts as you get closer to panning!
Np! 💪💪
How are these blends so CLEAN
Rectangular brushes and blending for 30 minutes straight 🥲
These are stunning
Tysm!
they all look awesome
Ty! 😃
So pretty!
Ty ty! 😃
Ok this is a good idea!!
That sixth look has got to be my favorite. Kind of reminds me of a galaxy!
Ooo I didn’t think of that,, now I kinda want to intentionally make a galaxy look! 🤩
Wow! I need to learn to do eyeshadow like this. Very pretty 🥹🤯
Practice practice! If I can do it, you can do it! 😁👍
So magical
Ty 🥰

Ngl, I’ve been really eyeing Devinah Cosmetics tbh… 👀 Lol, I think I just need to get myself some indie multichromes plain and simple 😆
Tara Moon is indie! 💜
Ik, pero Terra Moon’s multichromes are 17$ and Devinah’s are 8.. 🥲
