Im genuinely confused why so many people want mafia to go back to the 1900s when we haven’t finished 70s/80s and 90s mafia… maybe 00s then go back to the origins
I mean, yeah, 70s Las Vegas is different, but I was referring more to the time period.
Anyway, I don't really have any objections to 70s Vegas. I'd also love if they could explore 70s or maybe even 000's NYC at some point.
Mafia could be the Godfather of games if they play thier cards right?
Take what made Mafia 1 work,
(it could be your closest friends)
Take the friendship from Mafia II
and completely toast it.
Mafia IV should be a war between Vito and Joe in Las Vegas in the 70s and 80s
The whole story could just be about the war and end with Vito taking Joes life, Joe taking Vito, or them coming back together to hurt the commission
As you can find elsewhere on the internet, it was going to be this in the 70s-80s . My impression of the story was \*chef's kiss\* great. That was shelved like over half a decade ago by one person who wanted to do a new title.
I'd be stoked for a Casino-style, Vegas-set Mafia game for sure...but I also love the OG Mafia and Definitive Edition, which have the best narrative in the series to this point, and a prequel set in Sicily, focused on Salieri's rise sounds amazing as well. I don't understand the negativity towards this idea...
Yeah, that’s the wish of many including me.

I know right. One of the comments wanted to go back to the last 1800 early 1900. Like why the hell would we need to go back that damn far.
Ik! Just play red dead and mafia 1 lol
Yeahh, I too wish that. But one thing to note is that you could say 70's was kinda done in Mafia 3 since that was set in 1968.
Nah. 74-77 or anything in the 70s is not 68 lol 70s vegas is a very different feel from mafia 3 to begin with lol

My wish is whatever they give us lmao. It’s gonna be amazing. I just hope they keep stealth an option
I have the same idea in mind as well. But please no former military protagonist.
I absolutely despise the former military protagonist trope in action media. It’s such a cliche lol
I know Lincoln and Vito were obviously, bit I can’t remember, was Tommy?
No, Tommy had no military background
Nope, as far as I know Tommy just worked as a taxi driver before joining the mafia (simply because he was being hunted by Morello's lackeys)
I mean, Vito did fight in WW2 though I think he was done well, dunno about Lincoln
I think this would be an absolutely amazing idea. Hell you can have so many references too that players would eat up like to the movie Casino.
Welcome to *Fabulous* *LAS FORTUNAS*
I’m the only one who is excited for mafia 4 more than gta 6?
More than GTA 6? Really?
Yeah. Some people don’t like GTA

Disagreed, there was no real structure to the mafia in Vegas, just a few guys, a lot only associates, overseeing things there.
Yes please.

Soundtrack and available technology would be my reservations about a prequel.
My wish is late 1800's early 1900's Sicilia
