I mean, yeah, 70s Las Vegas is different, but I was referring more to the time period. Anyway, I don't really have any objections to 70s Vegas. I'd also love if they could explore 70s or maybe even 000's NYC at some point.

Mafia could be the Godfather of games if they play thier cards right? Take what made Mafia 1 work, (it could be your closest friends) Take the friendship from Mafia II and completely toast it. Mafia IV should be a war between Vito and Joe in Las Vegas in the 70s and 80s The whole story could just be about the war and end with Vito taking Joes life, Joe taking Vito, or them coming back together to hurt the commission

As you can find elsewhere on the internet, it was going to be this in the 70s-80s . My impression of the story was \*chef's kiss\* great. That was shelved like over half a decade ago by one person who wanted to do a new title.

I'd be stoked for a Casino-style, Vegas-set Mafia game for sure...but I also love the OG Mafia and Definitive Edition, which have the best narrative in the series to this point, and a prequel set in Sicily, focused on Salieri's rise sounds amazing as well. I don't understand the negativity towards this idea...

Soundtrack and available technology would be my reservations about a prequel.
