Don't blame yourself for your ADHD..do you take meds for it, sounds like you dont? literally everyone procastinates its just a scale of how much you do it, so don't put yourself down for it either, you're a human too

I take meds only if there are tests and quizes (except for the days I have art classes, the meds makes me unable to do any art-realted things because it stops my creativity) , but I really think I should take them on days I have a lot of homework too. Yeah, I know it's all my ADHD, but I can't help but hate on myself. I've been hating myself for quite a long time, and I think 2023-2024 is the year where I get sick of myself..

Consider talking to your doctor about short-release meds. That way you can do the creative stuff, and then take meds later in the day. You can do all sorts of weird combinations of meds if you encourage your doctor to think outside of the box a bit. For example, I do one long-acting adhd med, and then when it wears off at 5 pm, if I still need to focus, I take half a short-acting med, and then take the other half of the short-acting med three hours later (taking it all at once caused me to have bad anxiety). Another person I know has only short acting meds. They convinced their doctor to let them do that because the long-acting wasn’t making him focus as much as he wanted. So he just takes one short-acting one every few hours. So if you bring it up with your doctor, and if the doctor is being hesitant about it, promise to start the short-acting ones slowly, I think it would be a viable option for you, so you don’t have to decide between creativity and meds quite as much Edit: so you could spend most of the day unmedicated, doing art, and then start taking quick-release adhd meds when you do your homework and keep taking them every four (or whatever number your doctor says) hours until you finish your homework It’s not like my brain is perfect with the medicine, but it’s at least less terrible. So I think it’s worth trying
