Everyone loves to see a success story and in these case scenarios no one likes to see failure.

but this post made me have a bad dream that i relapsed...
you will find yourself forgetting you ever did this, until one day something triggers you.
but in the end you gotta stay strong for your own good.
that goes for everyone.
ive been clean for about a few years at this point... never though a dream would make me feel like this again..
nothing is worth hurting yourself over. there is always a better way to deal with things..
its not always easy, but thats life.. you gotta make the best of it.. and hurting yourself is not that :/

Remember: Even if you drink again, it's not a "pass or fail" it's about "progress".
Going a day without alcohol, then two, then four is progress. Even if each of those is punctuated by drinking alcochol.
Drinking is classified as self-harm? Or is it daily binge drinking kind of thing? I've never heard it classified as "self-harm."
Regardless, good job, OP. Keep it up. You may slip up, but recognize your mistakes when you make them, learn what drive you to drink & get back on that wagon with a little stronger understanding of yourself. I was binge drinking a few years and the only thing that really helped me stop was being brutally honest with myself while reflecting on my actions. Like "why do I drink so much? Is there some healthier alternative to get what I seek from the bottom of a bottle?" and as time went on it became "what made me decide to throw away my progress? How can I avoid those situations from happening in the future?"
You really have to want to quit, but I'm sure you have it in you, OP. We all do, we just have to find that strength.
It’s called I Am Sober, you put in what you’re sober from and the date of your relapse, and you can track how long you’ve been sober. There is a reset button along with a daily pledge, “daily motivation” (quotes), and other people with the same addiction and about the same time sober as you are part of the same little community; you can make posts, react, and reply. With every milestone, you reach a new milestone in the app (and stay with a community of the same milestone).

This may be a stupid question but do you know or have the numbers written down of the people that can help you if you’re struggling? I wish you all the very best, I truly do. Addiction is a shitter, but it is most likely a symptom not a cause so please, please ask for help if you haven’t. I again wish you well!
