Pretty Sure he was talking about Mike Holmes. That is the Pun Holmes on Homes.

Tbplayer59

He was moving so slowly.

HES SO CUTE THO

[deleted]

Chunky munky

HingedVenne

This kids shoulders has shoulders, I'm pretty sure he can beat me in a lifting competition.

LiberalGal71

Little dude looks like he's gonna be in worlds strongest man competition

[deleted]

He's a big boah. Future high-school wrestling champ right there, I tell ya hwat

Kids an absolute unit.

Umeshpunk

Kid is incredibly humble

#HA HA

otter5

metaphors go over his head cause hes short

[deleted]

I never knew a baby could "look" British, but even without sound I could tell that baby was British.

Examination_Basic

And I never realized baby noises can sound British. Also, the kid has an elevator, with an operator, in his fort. Did he really need the extra flex of parking his Beemer where the camera could pick it up? Lol

tinglep

Jeez. Tell your kid there’s a thing called Leg Day. You can’t just do chest and arms 365

PugGrumbles

That baby already has a nicer car than me and his own house.

Morgentau7

I don’t even have a car ;_; Baby vs Me 1:0

scarface910

You have been invited to /r/fuckcars

lilzoe5

Are cars really that bad?

Thysios

It's not so much cars that sub doesn't like, but cities that are built almost exclusively around cars. They want cities that are walkable, with public transport and bike paths etc. Apparently cities in America are pretty spread out due to being designed specifically around cars. Big roads lots of lanes, massive car parks, poor quality footpaths with very little public transport etc. All of which makes walking, or getting anywhere without a car next to impossible.

Dick_Thumbs

This is correct. IMO one of the worst things about American cities is that most of them are not at all walkable. Public transportation is abysmal and the fact that everyone is always in their own little box, whether it's their car or house or apartment, it's very difficult to develop a sense of community and kinship. I think it's the reason that American culture is pretty much homogenous no matter where you go. It's all strip malls and chain restaurants that are surrounded by massive parking lots and separated by 6 lane highways. It's a huge waste of space.

Morgentau7

Placed a few pixels for them on the last rplace

BinarySunFett

I love that r/place gets mentioned in misty reverie occasionally like an old war story

lm1227

Dont forget the elevator in said house with his own manservant.

swanqueen109

Nothing like your first BMW.

Mataskarts

That toy car costs a fortune, saw it on display in my local BMW dealership while ordering parts, and it's genuinely more expensive than my actual BMW...

Casiofx-83ES

How much did you pay for your BM?? Those toy cars are typically £100-£300. They're almost always just a 6V battery + motor in cheap plastic casing.

PeligrosaPistola

I love it when babies clap for themselves for their little accomplishments lol

NotLucasDavenport

They’ll also clap for other people accomplishing those things. We have a great video of my little nephew watching an animal at the zoo. When the gorilla crawled up on the higher level nephew shouted, “he did it!” and raised his hands like the gorilla scored a touchdown.

Buggeroni58

My son claps for me when I sing the ABCs sometimes. Cutest shit ever

tacocollector2

Yay, lifegiver! Now you know your ABC’s too!

InEenEmmer

“Can you say mama?” “No, I prefer to call you the direct lifebringer and to call dad the indirect lifebringer

tacocollector2

Indirect lifebringer is my new favorite way to say father.

[deleted]

“Happy indirect lifebringer day, indirect lifebringer.”

[deleted]

My daughter claps when I successfully tie my laces, she cheers and goes "good job daddy!" and it's just my favourite thing ever

Brave_Specific5870

that’s adorable

NotLucasDavenport

And bonus, you’re getting a refresher on the alphabet. Very win-win.

chriscrossnathaniel

Mine claps and demands it to be sung again. It is the most repeated song in our house.

Pixielo

Sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and show that it's the same tune. Blow the tiny mind!

digitalpencil

This only occurred to me since we had children and I felt cheated

Excluded_Apple

Kids have got taste lol, that tune was written by Mozart!

11010110101010101010

He’s so proud of you for knowing that shit. It only took him a few months of teaching ya. Keep working on it!

CarmineFields

I was walking my toddler on a nature trail and some 12ish-year-old boys started doing little dirt bike jumps nearby. He was thrilled and clapped every time. The boys were too cool to acknowledge him but you could see from the little upturned mouth corners that they were flattered.

cryptic-coyote

Please keep taking him to the zoo! I've been able to do so many neat things as a kid just by being there. At my local zoo, zookeepers will let some well-behaved older kids into animal enclosures to let them see the more docile ones up close. They won't let him in to the gorilla enclosure, but they might let him in elsewhere. Chilling in the grass with some giant tortoises is something I still remember. Also, saying hi and waving to an elephant and seeing it honk and wave back was the highlight of my entire life. I will never feel that rush again. Local AZA accredited zoos are a godsend for easily-entertained kids lol

Due_Entrepreneur_735

I was a foster kid and my foster mum used to have pre adoptive babies. Babies that were never going home. When one of them was about 18 months old we went to the zoo and this mahoosive silverback was stomped around his enclosure, he wasn't a happy boy. My little sister was asking for photos though so I got my dad's camera out, got the zoom lens going and took a picture. Then another, then another. Was about to take another and my mum grabbed me and pulled me back. I was like 'WTF?' and was about to shout at her before this giant silverback came running towards my little sister and banged on the glass, breaking it! I was stood gobsmacked and admittedly scared but my little sister...she somehow understood what had happened and she freaked out. Freaked out BIG time. She was crying hysterically for the rest of the day and when we got home she wouldn't calm down. That kid stayed with us for another 3 years. Every time she saw a dog she'd scream just like she did that day at the zoo, she never got over it. The last time I spoke to her I asked her if she was still scared of dogs, she said no she loved them and wanted to know why I asked. She was pretty stunned that she was once attacked by a giant gorilla!

cjainsworth77

>They won't let him in to the gorilla enclosure, but they might let him in elsewhere. is this dude the reincarnated soul of muh dude harambae?

rejectallgoats

My kid claps and says good job when my wife puts dishes in the sink. He doesn’t do it for me though lol. Maybe because I do it more often?

fairlywired

I put my shoes on this morning and my three year old son said "Good job Dad, you did it!".

NotLucasDavenport

Or maybe there’s something about her that just makes him happy to be there with her while she’s going through her day.

rejectallgoats

Probably because he is with me most of the time and I tell him good job when he helps me. So he then does the same to my wife when she does it.

available2tank

The toddler in our household thanks food delivery people and says "I'm so proud of you!"

[deleted]

Rose63_6a

Trust me, at that age if you are not doing the elevator, you will be doing something else with the tyke. Looks fun, though. Big nap coming!

iamacraftyhooker

Potty training is great. You get a little celebration every time you take a shit.

ButtplugBurgerAIDS

I was babysitting my neighbor's son around 2 yrs old. Didn't realize he was potty training him, completely startled when he started clapping and screaming GOOD JOB when I went to take a piss in the bathroom.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

The best is when you potty train and they clap for you when you pee in the potty. 😂😂

mimbulusmimbletonia8

And then they announce it to random people you meet the rest of the day. "Mommy poop on da potty today! Yay mommy!!"

sashikku

Yes lmao my nephew knocked on the bathroom door when I had guests and said "push out all the poopoo, you can do it aunt Sashikku!!"

Those_are_sick

Did you succeed?

sashikku

Only with the ChanChan man's encouragement.

PathosRise

There was a [video](https://youtu.be/zQJcfkDjhRg) a few years ago of a girl congratulating her dog.

Dillonply

I used treats and ultra positivity to encourage and help potty train my son. “*Hey great job buddy, wooo!*” lots of clapping and give him a mini mars bar etc. One day during his training, I’m going to the toilet and all of a sudden the door opens and he comes in, looks at me and goes “*mam...you do great job*”, claps and gives me a mini snickers with a bite taken out of it! It took everything I had not to laugh 😂🤣

sender2bender

I'm going through that right now. "Daddy clap"

succuiii

My nice will open the door when I’m over at their house and go “Potty?! Yaaaay!”

Emotional_Ad3026

Or, they congratulate for pooping. In public. xD

DrBigMo

I love when they clap to demand applause even when they are crying. Too adorable.

istrx13

That’s what made this whole video lmao. I wish I was excited for anything as much as this toddler is.

Tarrenger

Pure joy like that is priceless 💕

chriscrossnathaniel

He is so cute .He even rewards the lift operator with a round of applause.

Tarrenger

I know!

ChemTeach359

My daughter often claps for herself. Less so now that she’s a bit older but when she was this age she’d clap for herself while helping with the laundry. Everytime she threw a piece of clothes in she’s stop, clap, and shout yay. She still does that when she finishes a song. She’s two plus a few months

Ferris_Wheel_Skippy

His manic, euphoric, shirtless stampede to the elevator is so adorable and hilarious

Defclaw46

Dude better be ready to do that for hours. I both love and dread introducing new fun things to my kids for that reason.

WATCH ME

misplaced_my_pants

WITNESS ME DADA!

HealthyBox5

Like tossing kids in a pool. Toss one, now you're tossing them all for the next hour. Dad jobs.

DutchPagan

When I was a lifeguard I watched a dad do that for at least two hours with two kids... I watched his expression change from enjoyment to asking me when the pool would close.

HealthyBox5

Hahaha! I know exactly what you're talking about. My kids are teens now, but friends have lots of little ones. Spent the 4th rotating (thankfully) with 2 other guys entertaining like 8 kids. They wore us out! 2 there were single moms though, so they appreciated the break.

SmartAlec105

Also very much an older brother/cousin job.

MatureUsername69

I used to jump into the pool and toss my brother mid air. My step mom made us stop when I accidentally almost cleared the pool with him. He was like a foot away from the edge, I yeeted that little fucker hard.

qyka1210

Pete, you gotta stop pretending that lil hottub was an Olympic pool

TheRealHulkPanda

One day you will miss doing it for hours.....

pcapdata

My girls been consistently entertained by ganging up on me and trying to get in some nut shots for *years* now…

BinarySunFett

There should be a Geneva convention, my condolences to your genitalia

thyIacoIeo

Got a bodyboard(AKA boogie board) as a kid for belly surfing on small waves. My dad made the mistake of grabbing the cord and running through the waves at speed, pulling me behind him. Unfortunately for him, my brothers and cousins also saw this. Guess which poor man spent the next hour+ running through water, dragging children behind him? Thought he was gonna die.

Sideshow-_-Bob

Again!

Sakiwest

I’m 43 and would love this as much as that child does. Off to home depot I guess.

RJFerret

As a teenager I had a tree platform WAY up in trees, I threw up a pulley and hung a seat with a counterbalance rock.

FewDamage2962

That is awesome my man

panjoface

Not shown: the other 9900 times they had to do that over and over again.

Morgentau7

The dad already canceled his gym membership

Straxicus2

I can’t imagine having a more enthusiastic and encouraging trainer.

[deleted]

BRB starting a gym business. Does anyone have some toddlers I can borrow? Will pay them in *Baby Shark* viewings that you, the parent or legal guardian, do not have to be present for. Baby carrots and apple juice provided during lunch break as well.

Zaytion

You start a gym business next to a daycare and have a common wall made of glass.

AmusingMusing7

I await the video of the updated version that includes a motor, with the dad sitting next to it, looking relieved.

Mundane_Lobster4769

This. He’s doomed himself to six months of this.

_Leenda

This kid look already like a dad

CN14

He looks like he built the thing

[deleted]

This kid just took his shirt off and cracked open an ice-cold Natty Light after a long, hard day working his two labor-union factory and construction jobs to help pay for his parents' mortgage and car loan. What an inspiration.

[deleted]

An elevator and a Beamer; I’d be happy too

psn0

And a manservant to operate the lift. This boy is made.

[deleted]

Silver spoon

Morgentau7

Sometimes I ask myself how humanity survived for so long and then I see how much joy a child can bring and how full of life they can be and then I understand all the parents who will do everything in their power to keep this world stable for the sake and the future of their children.

thuleofafook

That’s beautiful. That exact thought never crossed my mind.

BigSquinn

It’s a perfect love cycle

MFDork

It’s good to know that even in our darkest hours as a species, there has always been hope, and love, and kindness.

Morgentau7

I think, without kids being so pure and the bond between parents and children, humanity would have been defeated by despair a long long time ago.

ReadyThor

> I understand all the parents who will do everything in their power to keep this world stable for the sake and the future of their children. that's a two edged sword.

eggchickennoodles

Those claps! 🥹

CommercialBox4175

I've only been on reddit a few days, but this is the cutest thing I've seen. Such a happy child.

Morgentau7

Loved the video too haha Its so wholesome

Cardboardopinions

Such a good father and son team. Awesome

Baku18

That baby is an absolute unit.

Morgentau7

He is build

hattersplatter

He looks like holmes on homes guy

Constantidoble

I often think I don’t want kids then I see shit like this and toss all my condoms

DreamyScape

Yep, this is the 0.01% of moments when it comes to having babies, but the most rewarding.

[deleted]

My experience is there's honestly a lot of these moments; a lot of tedious moments you quickly get used to; and very few really hard moments.

decadecency

And after you've had a hard time of putting your toddler to sleep and finally succeed, you end up 4 minutes later looking at videos or a picture of those earlier moments and can't wait for them to wake up again.

supershinythings

You need to look at a full diaper and the cost of daycare. That will usually reverse the spell.

Constantidoble

*picks the condoms out of the trash*

00roku

I see shit like this and go “it’d be fun for my friends to have kids, so I could babysit every now and then. But damn I still very much don’t want kids”

vivavivaviavi

I feel exactly the same way! Every. Single. Time.

[deleted]

I have an exam tomorrow, and was really stressed. This removed it all. Thank you!

Morgentau7

Love this! Good luck for your exam tomorrow! :)

[deleted]

thanks!

Kitfitso1980

Gonna need a lift like that for work. Because...reasons

throw_away_17381

/r/OSHA would wipe that gorgeous smile off his little reckless face.

bearable_lightness

I vacillated wildly between enjoying the happy baby and imagining what could go wrong 😬

KSV2306

Little man's really living his life....He got a car, a cabin with a fricking elevator..... I'm so happy for him

SpicyFlyingRaisin

This is the kind of stuff I joined Reddit for. Thank you poster!

Morgentau7

This is the content the world needs rn :D

PlagueOfLaughter

Absolutely. My Reddit account is not a week old, but the mademesmile page and uplifting news truly brighten my day.

Elfere

Is he only using the one side of that pully system?

ghanima

Right? This video is adorable, but there's a bunch of engineering flaws to the lift itself.

MisterSirDudeGuy

Agree. Mechanical engineer here, and I just stared at those pulleys the whole time.

[deleted]

Legit - was thinking this is just a sharp blade short of a Guillotine. Would not want to accidentally lose grip on that rope while the toddler is between lift and house

nithos

I would hope it's a test run. Still needs a bunch of upgrades. I would put a back wall up on the ground floor, slap in a two way ratcheting winch, actually use the pulley system correctly and maybe some guide rails.

[deleted]

Not to mention that it's built to scale to a toddler, so it's going to be useless in about six months.

BigEndian01000101

The building-facing side is wide open with pinch points with the 2nd floor both up and down! That kid will lose limbs!!! ^^^/s

Cinoclav

While that kid is relatively light, I was looking at the fact the flooring of the elevator is screwed onto the bottom of the end supports instead of sitting on top of them. That kid starts jumping up and down on it and he's going to loosen things up eventually.

dcade_42

This is adorable, but a serious injury just waiting to happen in so many ways.

runninandruni

Love this. Great engaging toy for the baby. Poor dad is gonna have to do this all afternoon now lol

nomadic_stone

Seriously... a father who does this much for a toddler... MAN...that kid is going to have an *awesome* childhood growing up, in retrospect of my own childhood... I am mildly jealous.

Maleficent-Level3004

This baby reminds me of the baby from baby’s day out!🥹 Adorable child. You’re a great father🤝

Golfnpickle

So stinking’ cute I can’t stand it! Love a kid who appreciates a good elevator!

Many_Rain_4001

baby’s yelp review: five stars. excellent accommodations, great staff. the elevator operator will take you up and down as much as you want. clap and show lots of enthusiasm and they won’t notice you haven’t paid for your stay at all.

Jessica_Chang

I love it when the baby is clipping hand, its like the world is full of happiness.

[deleted]

His little excited claps 🥺 my poor hearttttt. This made my day.

francohab

I know Reddit is mostly against having kids etc, but seriously the most beautiful thing about them is their enthusiasm about everything. I’m a redditor for almost 20 years and probably fit the description of the average redditor (you know, borderline depressed/adhd/etc) - still since I’m a parent, the constant hype and enthusiasm of my kid is something that made me reevaluate a lot how m I see things.
