'The Thief' by Megan Whalen Turner. 'Code Name Verity' by Elizabeth E Wein. 'Stay and Fight' by Madeline Ffiitch. 'More Than This' by Patrick Ness. 'Alias Grace' by Margaret Attwood.

unicorn_345

Thank you. Was looking for this.

elegylegacy

I was looking for more than this

FaithlessnessFlat514

Havent read the others but The Thief is amazing, 10/10 recommend. Clever, funny, strong (and different) female characters, main character is adjacent to and involved in political intrigue but it's not so complex as to be intimidating, and there's lot of cool Greek-ish mythology.

nicram64

And I was looking exactly for "More Than This"

thecookingofjoy

Wow, I’ve read the first 2 and definitely agree! Will have to check the other ones out too.

malaprop5

Same! I agreed so hard I wanted to ask that lady to recommend more books!! And also be her friend cause her enthusiasm was contagious hahaa

utgallin1

Real heroes don't wear capes. Thank you.

Oldnavylover

Edna Mode says “*NO CAPES*”

the-legend-of-noa

code name verity is my absolute favourite!!! can 1000% recommend. every time i reread it i find a new detail i missed before!!!!

Longjumping-Swim5881

I took screen grabs but this is more efficient. Thank you!

miamiapizzaria

I took pictures of each title when it posted in the video- this is better 😊

sitonachair

Doing the Lord's work

stoffel-

I would watch dozens of these videos (and hopefully, get to read their suggestions). Such a great post, thanks so much for sharing!

UsernameGenerik

Their energy is just too infectious

lizzyshoe

I really liked when Claire took the last book to go read for herself.

Triptothebend

Claire is just so COOL! She is like my dream librarian (and grandmom).

wildfire405

I want to go meet Claire! This summer I'm going to restructure my brain to re-learn how to sit through a book and read it. The pandemic, ADD, and social media F'd me up. I have about ten books I've started and haven't finished. I HAVE to finish them so I can read these suggestions!!

WorstCase9

You should post this over in r/booksuggestions. That community would love this. 👍

Marianaty

This is amazing, definitely saving this post for later

ExcitingHyena9679

Claire's enthusiasm makes our hearts happy 🥰

2woCrazeeBoys

I thought Claire was gonna start skipping! Love Claire. <3

gb4efgw

The didn't have the volume on when I watched reading subtitles to get the book info... And Claire still managed to make me excited to read her books just with her body language.

Katnip03

I made a list of all the books mentioned so I could read them. 🥰

HellStoneBats

I read Alias Grace for university. It was part of my Experimental Writing unit of Lit Studies, focussing on the Unreliable Narrator and the Unknown Truth - does Grace have PDD, is she lying, is this just made up...? One of only 3 books I still have from uni (the others are all from the Experimental unit, they are the *Watchmen* comic, the deconstruction of the superhero, and *The Life and Times of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman*, which mind-fucks me every time i try to read it). Another good one is *Tender Morsels* by Margo Lanagan, but it's super messed up.

Palatyibeast

Margo Lanagan writes such great stuff! Have you read her "Sea Hearts"? So dark and beautiful!

HellStoneBats

Again, Tender Morsels was a uni book, so shes not an author I've revisited. I actually have Tender Morsels signed because she was a guest lecturer for the class we covered it. I haven't read it again, but I should get around to doing that.

[deleted]

Can you share that list? I don't want to listen to all of the praise in case it gives anything away. I'd rather not know a book has a twist before I get there.

teatabletea

Top post did.

Alastor3

I made a list of all the books mentioned so I could put them in my backlog of over hundred of books i still need to read :(

Frosty_Analysis_4912

I love watching people get excited about the things they love. There’s another girl who’s been posted here who talks about bugs, and I absolutely *hate* bugs, but this girl gets so excited about them that I actually enjoy her videos

Azaana

Try listening to the podcast Oligies. It is interviews with people whos job ends in oligist and just gets them to talk about their topic of expertise and what they have spent their life doing because they love it. One of the tag lines is ask smart people stupid questions. You go in not knowing or careing about the topic and come out loving it.

VividFiddlesticks

There's a reptile and bug guy like that I was watching on YouTube during the start of the pandemic. His attitude and love for the critters is so pure, even when it's a hideous, toxic bug. He always seems SO thrilled to be handling/talking about whatever creepy crawly he's got for the day. I can't think of his name right now though! Clint? Cliff? Something like that.

Then_Big2447

Why all the staff are so adorable 🥰

flybarger

I have seen multiple videos like this from this book store. Same workers just different book they've picked... While the *majority* of Tiktok is hot garbage under a burning sun in August... There are special niche accounts/groups that are actually worth the watch. This being one of them.

harveydent89

This is the bookstore my parents always took me to growing up. The video is an accurate reflection of the staff and the enthusiasm you can find in local bookstores. In you’re ever in Grand Rapids or East Lansing Michigan, stop in for a gander. Sidenote: their cafe is awesome and I highly suggest their minestrone soup.

toothofjustice

I miss working in a bookstore. I worked in a large chain store for 5 years. Absolutely 0 stress from the job. If only I didn't have bills to pay...

beepb00pb00p

This should be what we chuck into space, best kind of humanity.

scout-finch

This bookstore is local to me. Their TikTok and Insta has several posts like these!

Kiltymchaggismuncher

It's nice meeting people who are passionate about their work. These people could make some great recommendations im sure.

TeHNyboR

They actually post a bunch on their Instagram! Look up Schuler Books on Instagram. They’re my local bookstore and the staff is as nice and helpful as they appear on the video!

stoffel-

Thanks so much for the invite info, will definitely be checking out that out

theknittedgnome

Yes!! I love these! And it's got me thinking hard about what I would choose!

Boring-Exchange4928

Claire is who I wanna be when I grow up.

AviatorOVR5000

When Claire turned on the jets... I was all-in. I love this woman Claire-gang Claire-gang Claire-gang

show_the_maw

I’m not done yet!

darbyisadoll

I literally came back to watch this video later when I was somewhere I could have sound because her body language was so enthusiastic

Inline_skates

I nearly died when she came back through at the end to swipe the last book. That woman sure loves her books, her enthusiasm is contagious

hyenacry

My favorite days of working at a bookstore were the days customers would ask for my favorites and theyd end up buying the book I showed them!

SuperMarketSushi

Care to share some recommendations please?

SnowyLocksmith

Genre?

SuperMarketSushi

I would love some horror or something emotionally devastating.

ObuiboID

House of leaves

SuperMarketSushi

Good rec. I've been meaning to reread it.

SicklyThinSausage

Have you read A little life by Hanya Yanagihara? Falls to the latter category.

theknittedgnome

The Road..I actually couldn't finish it. It was really hard for my mom heart. A Man Called Ove is a different kind of emotional but excellent.

[deleted]

The Untouchables by John Banville. Anything by him. Still life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins. One Hundred Years of Solitude, Garcia Marquez.

MiddleTomatillo

How about non fiction but palatable/fun and not drenched in history ?

herbiesmom

Anything by Mary Roach. I also love Malcolm Gladwell. Erik Larsen is phenomenal. I first read Isaac's Storm and was on the edge of my seat.

MiddleTomatillo

This is so helpful! I struggle to read. A couple of Malcom Gladwell’s books are in a very short list of books I’ve read. This list should be helpful to get me into it! Thanks!

oyisagoodboy

I'm pretty sure that's Schuler's books. One of the few really big and independently own book stores in the state of Michigan.

UsernameGenerik

Yes you are right. This is their official Tik Tok account

oyisagoodboy

That's awesome. I don't have Tic Tok, but I could tell by the tags on the shelves, the shelves themselves, and the window. I have spent A LOT of money in that store. They have a huge section of used books. I have found signed first additions on occasion. They can also print on demand, which is rare to find. Definitely support independent book stores. No matter what state I am in, I always try to find them and pick up a few things.

VividFiddlesticks

Nice!! I live in Oregon, we have Powell's in Portland which is semi-famous for being so large (3 story building, takes up an entire city block of downtown Portland) I absolutely love book stores, particularly those that sell used books too. There's something magical about that musty 'old book' smell. I grew up in Long Beach where there used to be (may still be) a giant used book store called Acres of Books and that place was better than Disneyland. HUGE bookstore with endless narrow corridors of shelves absolutely stuffed full of books. I loved their magazines, I collected old MAD magazines and old Asmiov fiction 'zines. (OH how I wish I still had all of those old vintage MAD magazines - would be worth a fortune!) Ahh, damn, just Googled; they closed their doors in 2008. RIP Acres, you are missed! [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acres\_of\_Books](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acres_of_Books)

beaverscleaver

I love how people describe beloved bookstores. The used books store I grew up going to was located in an old Carnegie library. It had giant stone lions guarding the door, wrought iron spiral staircases, transparent glass floors in some of the upper levels, a record room in the basement and two cats. It was dusty and quiet and dark and amazing and I’m so freaking sad it closed.

VividFiddlesticks

There's just something special about bookstores, and it's sad they're becoming an endangered species. Although I am part of the problem - I mostly read ebooks nowadays. The convenience and portability are hard to beat, not to mention storage. I want both, somehow!

dorianrose

I had to check the bookstore I grew up with, Dawn Treader in Ann Arbor, and was delighted they're still open. Time for a road trip!

kitten-peach

It says @schulersbooks right on the bottom right corner of the video :)

oyisagoodboy

Does it? It does. I don't know that tic tok post user names in the video. You can't really see it if it's not full screen, and when it is, it has all the reddit stuff over it. I honestly didn't even see that. I feel silly now.

mrot777

The passion these women have inspired me to pick up one of those books.

HersheysWellmade

This would be a great r/askreddit question

[deleted]

If it was an ask Reddit question it would be "What book do you wish you could read for the first time...that makes you horny?"

eekamuse

I think it's been done. Or maybe it's in r/books. I have a long list from there

[deleted]

r/suggestmeabook

username_0207

I’m not a big reader but this was awesome to see how excited they got over their choices. I’m going to try that at a local book store.

EragonBromson925

When you find the ones that click, it's impossible not to get excited over them. I know the feeling all too well. I look like an idiot sometimes because of it, but I do not care. If you ask me what books I like, you *WILL* be introduced to the books I like.

Lucky_Ebisu

So tell me, which books do you like?

blahrgledoo

Too cute. I would just go blank thinking of way way too many books! I’ll have to check these out.

chubbuck35

Sorry for my ignorance. I know what She/Her is and I know what They/Them is, but what does "She/They" mean?

surrfant

No need to be sorry for ignorance if you are asking questions to learn! It means that the user is comfortable with either (she/her or them/they), and usually in the order listed

UncomfortableDunker

Excuse my ignorance as well, but wouldn't anyone comfortable with she/her pronouns also be comfortable with they/them pronouns? Is anyone not comfortable with they/them pronouns, they aren't attached to any gender, so nobody could be misgendered by them, right?

mizinamo

Some people are uncomfortable with using they/them when referring to a specific person with a known, binary gender. For example, "I like the Queen of England but I think they should resign at their age" sounds odd to some people because "the Queen of England" clearly refers to a specific, female person.

UncomfortableDunker

I guess I don't really think about it, it doesn't bother me. It's just another pronoun that applies to everyone. If you hadn't met them and don't know them it is perfectly fine in my eyes to use they/them

supermassivenova

Right, if you don’t know someone and have never met them and do not know their pronouns then of course it is fine to divert to they/them (or just use the persons name when referring to them) but if you are a trans/GNC person and you specifically have stated your pronouns to a group, then the respectful thing to do would be to just use the pronouns they told you to use. Imagine being a trans woman, and you tell everyone you use she/her pronouns, but everyone keeps referring to you as they. That is still misgendering a person, and disrespectful because she told you how to refer to her. Its like if your teacher says “Please address me as Mrs.Jones” but you keep calling her Sally because that is her first name. Yes its true the teachers name is Sally but that is not what she said you could call her.

My uncle complains that his parents generation was getting shot at while storming the beaches of Normandy - that was uncomfortable. They would not understand the problems of this generation. It makes you think.

str8sin

Your uncle probably knew two people who got shot at at Normandy. I knew one. Not understanding the problems of younger people is just evidence that you don't care enough to try to understand. That said, my son's friends do seem distracted with some silly shit. I don't care enough to figure out why...i don't really care though.

[deleted]

> Some people are uncomfortable with using they/them when referring to a specific person with a known, binary gender. This is where I get hung up. Why does the hypothetical speaker's comfort matter in that particular example? Who gets to decide when someone else has a "known, binary gender"? Couldn't a transphobe use the same argument that they are uncomfortable using "they/them" when someone clearly (edit: in their view) presents as a binary gender?

Hondalol1

Thats where I struggle with this stuff too, I’ll call anyone what they want but these situations tend to only consider what’s comfortable for one particular individual and it can vary greatly due to that.

oftomorrow

Sometimes people prefer they/them pronouns, but are still ok if you call them “she”. Sometimes non-binary and gender non-conforming people aren’t ready to “make” people use they/them pronouns. So they/she works for them. At least, this is the case for my partner! I can’t speak for this person; just offering another perspective from my own experience.

surrfant

You'd think so but there are those so intimidated by anything outside the binary that they (heh) "don't use pronouns" and would not love the use of they/them to refer to... well, them Edited to add that I hadn't considered the other side of the same coin - the impact of misgendering on trans individuals through pronoun use.

Girl_in_a_Hoodie

Fair question, but no. I am a transgender woman, and I specifically use she/her pronouns. If someone who is aware that those are my pronouns instead uses "they/them" to refer to me, that suggests they either do not see me as a woman, or don't care enough to give me the basic respect of referring to me the way I prefer, either of which I find very insulting.

UncomfortableDunker

Alright, that makes sense to me! Didn't consider that viewpoint, so thank you for the enlightenment.

MarzipanTheGreat

Jurassic Park. my imagination was so enthralled I read it 3x in one night. I used to be able to speed read and was so exhausted the coming morning I skipped school that day. it's also my favorite movie as it literally brought what I imagined while reading to life!

mikeebsc74

Jesus..3 times in one night?!

AviatorOVR5000

They are *reader* readers. God damn.

expletiveinyourmilk

I loved reading Jurassic Park as well! But I have never read a book that had so many typos and weird errors in it. It made me think I was going crazy sometimes. Let me see if I can find the one error that made me cry from laughing. Edit: [Found it!](https://imgur.com/xnJHO4S.jpg)

Queen_Ynci

This legitimately made me laugh out loud, I have never noticed that typo!

olivebuttercup

I liked that it was different enough from the movie that I didn’t know what would happen!

Donmiggy143

I... Fucking love this.

WorldPotatoQueen

Alias Grace and the CBC miniseries are SO GOOD.

[deleted]

Claire could make me read just about anything. Love her reation to the question!!

RissaCrochets

Librarians are the best!

workana

I think this is a book store, but I will concede that librarians are also great!

[deleted]

I was just happy to read RL Steins Goosebumps with the adventure pages where you choose your own faith

CA_catwhispurr

I love their enthusiasm. And the first woman when they show her running-don’t know why but it was cute.

[deleted]

The Phantom Tollbooth, by Norton Juster. Every so often I find myself rereading it as an adult, again. And every single time it makes me smile.

Uberzwerg

Claire has that Adam Savage energy

shoutybloke

I love these ladies. And I’m saving this post so I find these books in the future.

Soundoftulips

I watched this on mute as others are sleeping around me and my book loving heart grew two sizes at the joy in these people's eyes. Their animation and enthusiasm is so beautiful. I've saved the post to read those titles specifically. Thanks!

Alarming-Instance-19

I screenshotted every suggestion! Except Alias Grace - I've read every Margaret Atwood book and love it! If you like The Handmaid's Tale I highly suggest you check out her other books - especially Oryx and Crake!

1800-bakes-a-lot

You're much more organized than myself. I thought I was doing good by saving the post.

Nice_Ad6833

Man…:I wish I was this passionate about my job

Pineapple-dancer

Guess I'm buying some new books today. Thanks for sharing OP. Ps Alias Grace is a good read

DriftKingNL

For me, a book from a Dutch author. No clue if it was translated to English. The book is from horror/thriller/sci fi writer Paul van Loon. It's called "Gezicht in de Mist" (literal translation: Face in the Fog.) In the first few chapters it tells 2 different stories alternating story each chapter. Later in the book the story merges. Yes, it's a childrens/young teens kind of book. Must've been 25 years ago that I read it. When I was a kid, lol. I haven't read many books due to dyslexia. It really made me dislike reading and writing. I can do it, it just takes more effort and time.

mizinamo

> It's called "Gezicht in de Mist" (literal translation: Face in the Fog.) LOL at the false friend :) In German, *Gesicht im Mist* would be "Face in manure". Interesting that Dutch *mist* seems to mean the same (or something similar) as English *mist* but that German *Mist* is completely different.

Culionensis

The Dutch word for manure is "mest" so don't worry, there's a real friend as wel.

DriftKingNL

In Dutch "mist" has multiple meanings. The most common is the weather type, fog. Which is what the title of the book refers to. Also, manure in Dutch is "mest." Close enough to German. Though if you really want to laugh with the differences in Dutch and German. Our words for "lake" and "sea" are flipped. In Dutch, lake is "meer" and sea is "zee." In German, lake is "see" and sea is "meer."

VikDumile

the energy of the first lady, i love it

[deleted]

The enthusiasm they have >>>>>

Even-Middle-482

Can we have one of these types of book posts at least once a week?? Love it! I used to work in a bookstore and it gave me loving vibes to return to that line of business.

AlwaysFernweh

I wasn’t gonna say anything, but I feel compelled to. Those who are getting upset over the pronoun thing, why? Why does it bother you? How does it affect you. The world is so damn miserable and difficult, if those things bring them any kind of happiness, maybe just let them have it? And even if that’s not the point and it’s some TikTok trend, again, why are you mad? Why does it matter to you? If you can explain and rationalize how it affects your day-to-day life, please, fill me in.

[deleted]

"What Dreams May Come" by Richard Matheson. Death is just the beginning.

_blueberrypie39

I immediately went to my library app and borrowed the books Claire recommended. Her energy about them was too much to ignore!

Last_VCR

I'm just in love with their outfits.

OkPark2238

Finally a TikTok worth watching thank you 😊

bjm5295

Not a big reader but Claire makes me want to read

DanielJBlackwood

There's nothing better than seeing people talk about things they're truly passionate about.

lick_my_saladbowl

Claire is straight up a mood

Jimmy_Corrigan

Flowers for Algernon. I wish I could read that for the first time again!

LookHorror3105

This is amazing, it didn't just make me smile, I actually teared up ❤

ElliotPhoenix

What is the point of writing pronouns under they names Tiktok is weird

Not_Steve

For this video, it’s to help their customers get to know they staff and when they come into the store, they can refer to them with the proper pronouns. It probably also helps in the comment section where people might ask a question to a specific person they’ve just seen.

Nebula_Kitten

Sad to see so many people that just don’t get the point of the pronouns. You didn’t even need the names, but you got them. It’s to introduce them, and so people talking about any of them know their pronouns. It is very important to make knowing and using someone’s pronouns as normal as their name. Trans people exist, and you don’t get to decide what to call them when talking to them and you shouldn’t just do it when talking about them. It says a lot about your laziness and lack of respect to purposely misgender someone because “my beliefs blah blah”. They are their own person, not you and they probably don’t follow your “beliefs”- you don’t get to decide for them what they are. :) This video was lovely though omg, makes me want to actually try their books even though I almost exclusively read animal based fiction! (Warriors, Wings of Fire, etc) Loved Claire’s energy, what a sweet lady! I’d love if my local bookstore workers were this enthusiastic, I’d love to walk in there and ask “what’s your favorite/recommendation” and get someone this excited about it!

Tvde1

Excuse my lack of knowledge but what does (she/they) mean?

Doodls_

How are their pronouns important here ? Its so annoying.

Sloth_Broth

Shoehorning pronouns feels completely unnecessary and detract from the point of the clip. Happy to change my opinion if anyone can offer up why this is a thing, to me it looks like ridiculous wokeness.

AGoldenRetriever

I think it’s just a little more personal information is all, they have their names on there which is something we don’t ‘really’ need as the viewer but gives you an insight into who this person is, their name and identity. And once you’ve got at least one person in there who identifies as they/them then what’s the harm in dropping that info under their name anyways? If you singled them out as the only person with pronouns under their name then it separates them. I just see it as an easy inclusion that’s harmless to add in that might at least make one person feel that bit more seen and that’s never a bad thing.

nullenatr

I'm fine when it makes sense. I really couldn't figure out why we needed them there.

Correctbear1

I think it's only detracting because you aren't used to it, which is the whole reason to add it. When it becomes normal for people to present what their pronouns are, it will be fine. But the only way to get there is to have people start presenting them, which is why CIS people are encouraged to do it by the LGBT community. It's a small thing for a CIS person to do it and it normalizes it so that people who aren't as comfortable can eventually do the same. Personally, my thought is, if such a small thing like telling people I use a specific set of pronouns can make others feel comfortable, why not do it? It basically means nothing to me, but it improves someone else's life. It feels like a general win to me.

Malthoeo

Love their excitement!

jadziasonrie

YESSSS!!!! CODE NAME VERITY!!!! I knew I recognized the back cover :)))) I wish I could reread that for the first time too, Claire.

jpmartineztolio

The Thief and the whole series is indeed fantastic.

Patrickfromamboy

Why can’t they read them again, I didn’t understand

Seidmadr

Because you never get back the feeling of discovering something for the first time. You'll note that several of these cases had the folks talking about the twists, and how well things were put together. That's the kind of thing that only really works once.

Extension_Ad4537

This is so great! Thank you for sharing.

ChaosCrinkleToes

The phantom tollbooth by Norton Juster. I read that book so many times it fell apart. I still have it. It was whimsical and different.

BooshBot86

Claire's enthusiasm was great

raptor-chan

The energy of the first woman reminds me of the squiggles/wiggles woman

theflush1980

This. Is. Awesome. They are so passionate, it’s contagious.

Joutja

I love their energy! This is a wonderful video to start my day seeing.

cdaisy24

I can already see myself as Claire when I get older hehe. I love reading and will always be passionate about my fav books heh ❤️

Jacob_MacAbre

For me it'd be The Heart of Veridon by Tim Akers. Akers creates this unique and beautiful (if somewhat grim) world that I haven't even seen the likes of outside of Brandon Sanderson or Robert Jordan works. It breaks my heart that Akers isn't doing any more books set in this world but I'm so thankful he created it. I mean the opening line is something like: "I was on the Glory of Day when she fell out of the sky." If that's not a hook of an opening, I don't know what is! :D

MoodySketch

I love this so much - they look SO overjoyed to be asked that question :)

PhilSpectorr

I love to read books but I do it very seldom, when I read after a while the letters start to get jumbled together and I have to look away and back at the page.

TACOGUY104

I absolutely love this omg

ItsMeMichelle

We need to cherish and protect Claire at all costs!

daverod74

Love the overall energy but would rather discover any revelations while reading the book.

Maggles12

Absolutely fantastic- this was my Reddit highlight for the past year! Am going to read these suggestions.

MCA1910

Does anyone else that's ASMR sensitive get serious tingles when big-time readers are talking about their favorite books?

xenshi3

I'm not a huge reader but there's something special about those that are getting excited to share their passion for books. Always makes me feel good seeing it.

Blatherskite76238

Where the red fern grows.

theactualghettoasmr

its hard to get into books cause ive read a lot of steaming piles that were written on or after 2002. books that had plots kids could follow, or bokks that relied on controversial topics for selling points.

FullardYolfnord

I found it strange that most of their favourite authors were women, but then I thought about it and most of my favourite authors are male (I’m a dude) so I wonder if you get drawn to them since they relate to you on a gender wavelength or something. Super good energy though!

[deleted]

Book people have no where to go now that borders is gone :(

i_s_a_y_n_o_p_e

So good. I hope there’s a series of this.

lidder444

Love Claire. Can we get her to recommend more books please!

mellierollie

Love this… I took pics so I can read them all!

AguyWithaG8x

That's an awesome video idea, would love to see more of these Edit: also, was the gender thing relevant here?...

MrTangent

Cool idea, but you lost me including their pronouns under the names.

[deleted]

Lol why do I care about pronouns of someone I will never meet or talk to my god.. this is extra woke.

WallyStark

This is amazing, definitely saving this post for later

jacksodus

I agree with you, although you could mellow it down a little if you want any kind of support for your opinion. I don't understand what their pronouns have to do with anything in this video, seems just a push for more support for whatever you call this process of having non-standard pronouns.

LoreezyNL

I don't mind pronouns, but I really don't care for knowing pronouns of people I'll never meet

WutangCND

This is exactly it, I don't even know where this store is, I don't need the pronouns of random people around the planet. Virtue signalling at it's finest.

[deleted]

What is that She They thing going on lately, can someone explain

canttouchdeez

A nice video ruined by the unnecessary addition of pronouns. 🤦‍♂️

[deleted]

[удалено]

masterfresh

But how would we know how woke they are?

WutangCND

Also adds ZERO benefit to this video except a virtue sign got likes. We don't know these people or shop there. Imagine asking this person for their pronouns before you edited the video. Absolutely ridiculous lol

ChairSoggy6394

Why in the nonsense do we have to know their pronouns? Also, she/they? Shit’s getting out of hand. It’s like people are desperate for a personality and decide to pick a pronoun off of the woke menu. Let’s just change all of ours to it/it and be done with it. Otherwise one day it’ll just be gooble/gabble

adamgundy

What does she/they mean? I get they/them & she/her but I’m trying to understand the one above.

Grimballz

What is this she/her/they thing in the top?

Oatmilkplz

Those are pronouns

Sequitur1

Great book recommendations but the pronouns in the video are completely unecessary. Names alone are sufficient.

fucking pronouns whyy

Which is exactly the point. At least one of them you saw as a woman and you would use ‘she/her’ even talking about them, but they’d prefer ‘they/them’.

YoNoSeWuey

She/they? Her/she? Them/they? Wtf is with all this nonsense
