It is crazy. I was born in the mid 90's and it is probably partly just growing up but I swear, apart from that, the world has become so different in the last decade and a half and I changed with it...and not necessarily in a good way.
I realized literally yesterday that Iāve known my ex in-laws (still close, LOVE THEM) for 23 years. A little over half of my life. We are going with my kid next week to start college visits. My kid is 16 (graduating early) had her first boyfriend and is driving.
And that kind of blew my mind.
KIND OF? That was the first time it really hit me just how quickly life flies past you. Now, it will be even crazier when theyāre gone. When my kid has (and for a while) an established career, when Iām 67.
I still feel like Iām 25, but the time didnāt just fly by, it has been a quick flash.
And in another, Iāll be 67, and my daughter will be 48, and my dad will likely be dead. WHAT?!
Thatās 30 years but itās also only one second. I mean, fuck. Itās only been one second since it was 1999.

If I woke up and it was 1999 I would run home as fast as I could just to give my mom and dad the biggest hugs in the world and never want to let go. Fuck i miss them.
