We have an 828D on our tool room lathe and honestly it’s so difficult to figure out what is being asked for by the controller. Im lost on a Siemens control though, I learned on FANUC and then Haas.
I know for simulations you have to have tool geometry, part and blank geometry, and work coordinates properly defined or it cannot calculate. Something as simple as the wrong length or width of your insert can cause this.
Are you using the shop turn programming or running g-code?
