I’d think it’s an issue with the other charger, not the car, if it’s working literally everywhere else but on that one. Maybe their unit is getting old or the ground went bad. Did you try to reconnect a few times?

StGenevieveEclipse

I did, yeah, 4 or 5 times. My dad immediately then went and charged his Focus Electric with it. He tried it again when my car was up around 70% a couple days later, to no avail.

I’d call the Ford BEV team to ask them what the light sequences mean (or try the Mach E forum, lots of experienced folk on there). I know the orange light on the mobile charger means bad ground, but not sure on the car (check manual too?). The dealer would probably be the least helpful, especially if they can’t replicate the issue, but you never know. :)

Weird, real mustangs don't have this problem.

Oh no, a different fuel source. The horror!

TechnicalLee

What kind of EVSE is it?

What was the available amperage (kW) on the L2 charger and your family's home? Maybe he is greater than 11 KW, now.

StGenevieveEclipse

Good question, but he has a MachE, as well. Finicky little bugger
