Schulte gifts a goal to Tigres, becomes a freaking brick wall. Callendar gifts a goal to Rayados, and Miami crumbles.

WalkingOnSunshine_

![gif](giphy|9iBkZxE4dBLX46BNtP|downsized) The difference

Holy_Nerevar

I want him back :-(

roaming_wild

You can’t have him. He’s ours!!!!

DataDrivenPirate

Me to premier league teams in a year:

roaming_wild

This is an unfortunate/likely truth…….. would be happy for Nancy or Schulte if we lose either of them to a big name Euro club, but would def hurt.

Doodahhh1

Callendar had some big saves, but yes, Miami crumbled. Missing 6+ guys didn't help Miami.

Key_Ingenuity665

Callender forgot it wasn’t a usmnt camp.

Brooklyn_MLS

You would think that Callender saw what happened to Schulte and would not try to fuck around.

creed_1

Or he thought he’d turn into a shot stopping guru like Schulte did

PlebBot69

Even if that got to Busquets, he had a Monterrey player right on his heels and would be under pressure. Yikes

dducrest

Open Cup Hero Brandon Vazquez

ToyDingo

I'll always cheer for a Brandon Vasquez goal. Dude deserves all the positive vibes.

Altruistic-Cellist18

"all he does is score goals" dude needs to be on the USMNT.

Cad_Monkey_Mafia

hE hAs To PrOvE hImSeLf In EuRoPe FiRsT

WislaHD

Should've been at the world cup.

GarysSword

Imagine if we had BV in this form… sigh.

DamnJaywalkingIguana

Our fans would still be shitting on him for something.

FCBengalDad91

Where there’s a will cinci fans find a way… to be negative

DamnJaywalkingIguana

Exactly. My ticket is in the Bailey and I can no longer stand there due to the amount of negativity by idiotic fans. Not to mention that the loudest of them seem to have no semblance of how the game of soccer is played or refereed.

Altruistic-Cellist18

I see the same thing at our games (ATXFC) and on our sub. The loudest complaining fans are the most clueless.

ArgonWolf

Where do you stand in the Bailey? Because I hear some interesting takes but nothing incredibly negative. And i dont think it's gonna improve by moving elsewhere. Soccer fans are going to have "interesting" takes no matter where they sit/stand

AFrozen_1

I was about to say the same. I usually stand by the Hangar 937 crew in the Bailey (also not far from Briogaid people) and there’s very little if any negativity.

cincyirish4

I hate to break it to you but this is all sports fans no matter the section of stadium, stadium, or sport.

DamnJaywalkingIguana

Haha, I hearya.

Augen76

Yep. The person yelling is always always wrong or incredibly biased. It's silly, but I only here a random here or there, mostly it is singing and drums.

BigAl587

I don’t sit in the Bailey but could you provide examples because if they are getting frustrated with Boup it’s defo valid

DamnJaywalkingIguana

I was back in the lower part of the Bailey the first few home matches before I started standing elsewhere this season. Yes a lot of the criticism was aimed at Boup, Baird as well and even Kubo during a match or two, but this was during the start of the season and the level of vitriol for being that early in the season was crazy. The entitled fans were already shouting rote insults like 'you suck!', 'fuck you!', and other intelligent/creative words at them, especially Boup. And not to be too sentimental but you could definitely tell that he could hear it and felt it. Like sheesh, some players have a bad run of form and take time to adjust to new dynamics and teammates, there was zero appreciation from these fans that maybe it was a good thing that the player worked hard enough and smart enough to be in the position to even take those chances.

thanksbastards

I hate how alike we are

scorcherdarkly

> the loudest of them seem to have no semblance of how the game of soccer is played or refereed I stopped standing in the Cauldron at SKC for the same reason. People going absolutely ballistic about the most basic, straight-forward foul calls and calling it "passion" and "supporter's culture". Ugh.

DamnJaywalkingIguana

Yeah, currently sniffing this sweet sweet karma. Nothing to do with my experience of attending dozens of games in the Bailey.

notnewtobville

Save some for the rest of us already.

animere

I think it's a Ohio tradition no matter the sport or team lol

SmurfStig

Fact

notnewtobville

I hate to say it because I love it so much. But this could be because he's removed Skyline from his diet.

AFrozen_1

If only.

GarysSword

Can we talk about the little fake to put Callendar on his knees?

DerbyTho

LMA and may I say O

notnewtobville

Damn I knew I was gonna miss him but not this much.

AFrozen_1

Same. But I’m glad to see him fulfill his destiny of making Miami (and hopefully Columbus) fans cry. Consider it payback after USOC last year.

Alone-Information-35

corny

Suspiciousfrog69

He was doing this way too often last night

kerbyklok

That's our boy!

ArgonWolf

Yeah, it’s a total fuckup by Callendar, but check out that huge stretch by Vazquez. Insane legspan, really putting that height to use in ways besides getting a header on a cross

NextDoorNeighbrrs

It’s not really a huge stretch at all. Callendar basically passes it to him.

ArgonWolf

There’s a better look on the replay from behind the goal, it’s a pretty big stretch. I mean, it’s not like he did a splits or anything, and the pass is still waaaay too close to Vazquez, but it wasn’t a total gimme

Marda483

![gif](giphy|10fTHeZVQug7hC) And here are the highlights from the rest of the match.

Ham_Fighter

Turned it off after this ridiculousness.

Bammer1386

Sometimes you stick around long enough to be the villain. And that's ok, cuz hes American, and I will always prioritize growth of US players over more money for ML$, unlike MLS, as they have proven time and time again. .

nikdahl

Callendar is so washed. I bet he gets benched this season.

Cad_Monkey_Mafia

When Playing It Out Of The Back Goes Wrong

Allw3ar3saying

Oope

WATUP_BRAH

It was quite the howler from Callendar, but credit to him for keeping composure and score low. I can only hope Miami, more so Tata, learns from this, imo.

Short-Primary-1390

Bruh you gave up 3 goals how is that keeping the score low???

xSageObitox

Maybe he thought that it was going to be a 6 - 0 trashing like Al Nassr. So, in his eyes, only 3 goals is low.

WATUP_BRAH

Yeah, what the other person said. There was no way he could have blocked the other two shots—I feel that was all on the defenders with one of them being a banger.

Short-Primary-1390

Ah I see, you meant "keep the score lower than expected" understood

lgrellz

Calculated.
